WATCH! THERE IS A DEVIL LOOSE! YOUNG WOMAN KILLS HER PASTOR FATHER, TRIES TO KILL HER MOTHER, TRIES TO KILL HER BROTHER, AND TRIES TO KILL ONE OF HER CHILDREN’S FATHER
DANIEL WHYTE III SAYS THIS IS A SATANIC-FUELED, UNSPEAKABLE TRAGEDY ROOTED IN THE DEMONIC SPIRIT OF WOKEISM THAT HAS SWEPT THE NATION, PRODUCING AN ALARMING NUMBER OF CHILDREN KILLING THEIR PARENTS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS. WHYTE REMINDS EVERYONE FROM THE WORD OF GOD THE WORDS OF JESUS CHRIST: “WATCH AND PRAY, THAT YE ENTER NOT INTO TEMPTATION: THE SPIRIT INDEED IS WILLING, BUT THE FLESH IS WEAK.” WHYTE ALSO TELLS EVERYONE WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS IN I PETER 5:8: “BE SOBER, BE VIGILANT; BECAUSE YOUR ADVERSARY THE DEVIL, AS A ROARING LION, WALKETH ABOUT, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR.”
MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – FOX10 News exclusively spoke with a close family friend after a tragic murder in Mobile.
Charity Matthews is accused of shooting her ex-boyfriend and both her parents, killing her father.
FOX10 News has learned the father was a well-known pastor in Mobile, Robert Matthews.
Charity Matthews pleaded not guilty in court Thursday morning.
Family members say it’s just too difficult to speak right now and describe this whole experience as a living nightmare.
Shavon Buchanan, a close family friend, is speaking on behalf of the Matthews family.
She says the mother Twinetta is doing well as she recovers in the hospital.
Buchanan describes Pastor Matthews as an outstanding leader, a man of god, and loving husband and father.
She says the family is relying on their faith to get through this unimaginable tragedy.
“Stay strong and I’m praying for you guys to have peace and that God gives you peace that surpasses all understanding,” Buchanan said. “And I know that they’ll be okay.”
The deadly shooting happened Sunday night in Mobile.
Several MPD officers responded to a home on Avonlea Court shortly before eight o’clock.
They found Robert Matthews dead. His wife Twinetta was also shot and rushed to the hospital.
Buchanan says she heard about the shooting on the news, and couldn’t believe when she found out it was them.
“When I found out it was the Matthews family there really are no words,” Buchanan said. “Something that you would never expect. It’s almost like living in a nightmare only because they are such a good family.”
Hours later the victim’s daughter was arrested and charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and reckless endangerment.
Police say she also shot towards her brother and shot her ex-boyfriend Samson Moore.

Buchanan says she grew up knowing Charity, and can’t imagine what led up to this.
“I know Charity was a loving person. I know she carried love in her heart. I know that she’s seen a lot and been through a lot just from personal conversations that I will not share,” Buchanan said. “There are just no words. I love her and I’m praying for her as well.”
Robert Matthews was the pastor at Joy Tabernacle on Ann Street.
Buchanan says he was known as “Fun Daddy” and his wife as “Mama Nett” who have been married for almost fifty years.
As they try to work through this tragedy she says the family is staying strong.
“They are a family that is strong believers and knows the power of God. And in Mama Net’s voice, all is well. I wish there was something I could have done, cause a lot of people are damaged by this, including her I’m sure. But just know that I love you as your friend,” she said. “To the Matthews family, I thank you for allowing me to speak on your behalf. I’m grateful that I’m a part of your family and speak on your behalf and just stay strong.”
Charity Matthews will appear in court for an Aniah’s Law hearing next week.
The state has filed a motion to keep her in jail on no bond.
Mobile woman accused of shooting 3 could face capital murder charge: District Attorney
UPDATE (Oct. 24, 4:48 p.m.): Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood told News 5 it is possible the murder charge could be upgraded to capital murder.
Matthews would then be eligible for the death penalty if convicted.
“Going and doing this to family members and people that she knew. It’s a very terrible thing,” Blackwood said. “We’re going to hold her accountable for that.”
Blackwood explained why the state moved the arraignment scheduled for Thursday to an Aniah’s Law hearing next week.
“The state felt that because of the circumstances of these shootings, that the defendant is a danger to the community,” Blackwood said. “There was no other reason to have her held without bond other than Aniah’s Law.”
Blackwood said potential mental health issues could have played a role during the time of Matthews’ shootings.
“We’ve already started the process of having her mentally evaluated to make sure that she is competent to face these charges and then her competency at the time of the offense will be evaluated later,” Blackwood said.
UPDATE (Oct. 24, 12:30 p.m.): News 5 is continuing to gather information about this case from the Mobile Police Department.
According to MPD officials, Charity Matthews was involved in three separate shooting incidents — two Saturday and one Sunday.
Officials said Charity shot at her brother’s car around 2 p.m. on Saturday but did not hit him.
Later on Saturday, Charity allegedly shot the father of one of her children. Charity shot her mother and father on Sunday, leading to her father’s death, police said.
News 5 has learned that Charity Matthews’s arraignment has been moved to the beginning of next week for an Aniah’s Law hearing.
Aniah’s Law makes it harder for people charged with violent crimes to be eligible for bail. Under the law, a judge can determine bail eligibility.
UPDATE (11:30 a.m.): News 5 is continuing to learn more information about the shooting of three people over the weekend.
According to court documents, the man shot on Saturday, Oct. 19 is the father to one of Charity Matthews’ children.

THE BIG QUESTION
GOSPEL LIGHT MINUTE X #447 WITH DANIEL WHYTE III
This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447 titled, “The Big Question” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says, that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
“HAVE YOU BEEN BORN AGAIN?”
The question is not “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”.
We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life likewise is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).
A New Nature Needed
By physical birth we become partakers of human nature; by being born again we become “partakers of the divine nature”. A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting”. The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature”.
Not “Trying” But “Trusting”
“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ, it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ Who has done it all! He has “finished the work” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.
What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Simply “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ”. The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God”. The Bible states in John 1:12,13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God”.
You are born again, you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in and life begins!
What Is Meant By “Believe”?
To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ”. The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God … now commandeth all men every where to repent”.
The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent, and to receive Christ as Saviour and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!
May I Know That I Am Born Again?
This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life”. Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved, you are “born again,” you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!
One Final Word
You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ!.
If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer: Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to repent of my sins past. Help me to turn from my old, evil life and follow You in the new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
