Dear Daniqua, Danyelle, Daniella (Danni), Danita, Danae, Danyel-Ezekiel, and Daniel:
Children, today we read the entire book of 2 Corinthians in one sitting, reminiscent of the many hours we read whole books of the Bible when I was raising you, and also reminiscent of what Daniella (Danni) did after she and Danita moved into their new apartment. What a joy! What a great mountaintop, joyful experience it was to do that again, particularly in my old age. By the grace of God, I will be reading 10 books of the Bible over the next couple of days, if the Lord tarries His coming, and we live. Join us if the Lord leads you. Stay strong in the Lord by “Praying always” and reading at least one chapter of the Bible a day on your own first thing in the morning. God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you. I love you, and I am praying for you. Please pray for me.
Love, Papa
A concise summary of the reading of the entire book of 2 Corinthians in one sitting, with Daniel Whyte III (The unedited full transcript is on Bcnn1.com)
Given the length, an abridged version would need to be a summary, not just a shorter transcript. Here is a concise summary of the sermon’s content:
Title: G.L.S.I. 60-Day New Testament Reading Through Easter (Day 28: The Book of 2 Corinthians), with Daniel Whyte III
Summary:
In this session, Daniel Whyte III leads a marathon reading of the entire book of 2 Corinthians, interspersed with commentary from a New Testament survey course.
He begins by outlining the book’s context: it is Paul’s most personal letter, written to defend his apostolic authority and express relief and joy after receiving good news from Titus about the Corinthian church’s repentance. The key themes of the first three chapters are introduced: God as the “Father of mercies and God of all comfort,” Paul’s integrity, and the surpassing glory of the New Covenant over the Old.
Whyte reads through each chapter, pausing to highlight key verses and concepts. In chapter 4, he emphasizes the paradox of having the “treasure” of the gospel in “earthen vessels” (frail human bodies) and the eternal weight of glory that outweighs temporary affliction. Chapter 5’s message of reconciliation and becoming a “new creature” in Christ is underscored, along with the believer’s role as an “ambassador for Christ.”
In chapters 8 and 9, the theme shifts to cheerful and generous giving, using the Macedonians as an example of sacrificial generosity. As the reading progresses into chapters 10-13, Whyte notes the shift in tone as Paul aggressively defends his ministry against “false apostles.” He highlights Paul’s “foolish” boasting in his sufferings and his unique revelations.
A significant personal moment occurs during the reading of chapter 12, where Whyte identifies with Paul’s “thorn in the flesh,” describing his wife of 38 years as a “messenger of Satan” sent to buffet him. He draws strength from God’s response to Paul: “My grace is sufficient for thee.”
After reading the final chapter and its beautiful benediction, Whyte leads in prayer and then presents a clear gospel message. He gives three reasons for needing salvation (sin, death, and judgment) and leads listeners in a sinner’s prayer. He concludes with five practical steps for new believers: get baptized, pray daily, read the Bible, obey it, and be a witness. The session is also punctuated with appeals for financial support and interaction on social media.

UNEDITED TRANSCRIBED SERMON:
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, family, friends, and folks—and yes, even foes in the family. I do thank God, however, for my children, who have been a tremendous blessing and help to me in the ministry down through the years. And sure, I am fortunate to have a few family members helping the old prophet. And I give God the glory, praise, and honor.
Turn in your Bibles, my beloved, to Second Corinthians. Second Corinthians. Second Corinthians, Chapter 1, by way of the Gospelite Society International University New Testament Survey course that we are adding to this time around. This is the Second Epistle to the Corinthians by the Apostle Paul, an integrated reading plan: Chapters 1, 2, and 3, a New Testament survey course by great theologians by the name of Dr. Gundry, Dr. Carson, Dr. Moo, Dr. Elwell, Dr. Yarborough, and Dr. D. Silver.
Shall we pray? Holy Father God, we pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We praise You, and we thank You for Your holy Word. And we pray, Lord, that You will bless it and anoint it and use it in our hearts for Your glory, praise, and honor. Save those who are lost. Revive those who are saved. Heal those who are sick. Comfort those who are grieving and mourning. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, for His sake. Amen.
My beloved, as we turn from 1 Corinthians to 2 Corinthians, we enter a different atmosphere. 1 Corinthians was a letter of correction, addressing specific problems in the church. 2 Corinthians is far more personal. It is Paul’s most autobiographical letter, revealing his heart, his sufferings, and his deep love for a church that had often wounded him.
Author and Date: The Apostle Paul identifies himself as the author, and the letter is universally accepted as authentic. He writes from Macedonia, likely around A.D. 55-56, shortly after writing 1 Corinthians. The immediate occasion was the return of Titus with news from Corinth—mostly good, but also troubling reports of false apostles who were undermining Paul’s authority.
Occasion and Purpose: The relationship between Paul and the Corinthian church had been through a difficult period. After writing 1 Corinthians, Paul made a painful visit to Corinth that was not successful. He then wrote a severe letter (now lost) through Titus and anxiously waited to hear the church’s response. When Titus finally met him in Macedonia with news that the majority had repented and reaffirmed their love for Paul, he wrote this letter to express his joy, to defend his apostolic ministry and authority, and to prepare them for his upcoming visit.
Key Themes in Chapters 1-3:
-
The God of All Comfort: Paul opens with a profound meditation on suffering. The comfort we receive from God is not just for ourselves but equips us to comfort others in their afflictions.
-
Sincerity and Integrity: Paul defends himself against accusations of being fickle in his travel plans. His “yes” means “yes” because he serves the God whose promises are always “yes” in Christ.
-
Restoration of the Sinning Brother: He encourages the church to forgive and comfort the man who had been disciplined (likely the offender from 1 Corinthians 5), lest he be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.
-
The Glory of the New Covenant: In chapter 3, Paul contrasts the old covenant of Moses, written on stone—a ministry of condemnation that was passing away—with the new covenant of the Spirit, written on hearts—a ministry of righteousness that is permanent and glorious. Believers, with unveiled faces, behold the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into His image.
2 Corinthians 1: The God of All Comfort
Chapter Introduction: Paul begins with his customary greeting, then immediately bursts into praise to the God of all comfort. He has experienced severe suffering—so severe that he despaired even of life. But God delivered him. The purpose of suffering, he explains, is not only for our own growth but so that we can comfort others with the same comfort we receive from God. He then defends his integrity, explaining why he changed his plans to visit them. It was not fickleness, but a desire to spare them another painful visit. He concludes with a powerful affirmation: all of God’s promises are “yea and amen” in Christ. God has sealed us and given us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
So good to have you, Vanessa Switz, and everybody. And we give God the glory, praise, and honor for His Word together. There are over 1,900 with us. God bless you all.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, 2 Corinthians 1. So glad to have Lucy, Mendez, and others as well. May God bless you all.
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: 2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope of you is steadfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. 8 For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:
So I want you to notice here that the Apostle Paul showed that he did not mind sharing with people not only the victories and the good times in the Lord, but the difficult times in the Lord. He was transparent. He was honest that the Christian life is not always wonderful and dandy. Verse 8: “For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble.” We want to tell you about our trouble as well as our victories. We have Christians today who only want to talk about their victories, not their troubles, but telling us about your troubles encourages others.
9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf. 12 For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. 13 For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end; 14 As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus. 15 And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit; 16 And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea. 17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay? 18 But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, verse 20: 20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. 21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. 23 Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth. 24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, glad to have you, Jenny, Raymond Bennett, Signature, Jessica B., and everybody.
2 Corinthians Chapter 2
Holy Father, God bless and anoint the reading of Your holy Word and help us to understand it and to love it and to cherish it and to obey it.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, 2nd Corinthians, chapter 2.
1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness. 2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me? 3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all. 4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. 5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. 6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. 7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. 9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. 10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, 13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia. 14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Ladies and gentlemen, 2 Corinthians chapter 3.
1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you? 2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. 4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. 7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: 8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? 9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. 10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. 11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. 12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: 13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
And somebody ought to say, “Amen,” right there. You see anything? Thank you, Helen Williams, for your gifts to God and Jesus Christ. I thank God for everybody who is here. 900, Daddy is back.
Ladies and gentlemen, turn in your Bibles to 2 Corinthians, I’m sorry, chapter 4. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, we just finished reading the first three chapters of 2 Corinthians. And by the grace of God, since we’re moving at a great clip, Sister Williams, and 900, and Deacon Moamp, Sister Bliss, Deacon Atkins, Sister Gypsy Hart, and everybody, let’s go ahead and put it over.

We’re going to move on all the way. Everything they have right now. Starting at chapter four. And make it larger. Brian Carter, so glad to have you, Reverend. I pray that you and your family are doing well, and I pray that you and your church are doing well. As you know, I’m calling on all Bible-believing, God-honoring, God-called pastors to have church every day, have a service, prayer service, and Bible-reading service every day with your church and with the world. With the technology that we have today and with the kind of financial backing you have, you can take over the world by yourself, Brian Carter, with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Go, young man, go. Do not hang around these lying, hypocritical, dead pastors. You be your own man in God.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, family, friends and foes, and yes, even foes in the family. But I do thank God for my children who showed up from heaven and showed out. Second Corinthians chapter four. Mrs. White, come over here and just say so-and-so, please finish. Glory be to God in the highest.
[… Technical direction to Mrs. White …]
Let’s pray. Say, “I am.” Eugene Mihawk, God bless you. Royal Bloodline, God bless you. Kenny Wilcox, God bless you. Thank you for being with us. So glad to have you today. Holy Father God, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and spiritual, family life, financial and material protection and provision, mental and physical blessings upon all of these people who are here today. Praise the Lord, everybody. 2nd Corinthians chapter 4: Treasure in Earthen Vessels. Gospel Light Society International University New Testament survey class combined with this Holy Bible reading service.
Paul continues his defense of his ministry, emphasizing that he does not lose heart. He has renounced hidden, disgraceful ways and commends himself to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. If the gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the “gods” of this age have blinded.
Paul’s message is not about himself but about Jesus Christ as Lord. The great paradox is stated: we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. He then catalogs the sufferings of an apostle: troubled, perplexed, persecuted, cast down, yet never destroyed. Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest. This suffering is working for them an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, as they look not at the seen, but at the unseen.
2 Corinthians 4
Ladies and gentlemen, 2 Corinthians chapter 4.
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Glory be to God and hallelujah and amen from somebody. So glad to have you: Rick Bingley, Jenny Boo, Blair Jordan. God bless you. Thank you for following. Thank you for praying for us. I do ask you to pray for me. Pray for the ministry as I pray for you. And I have been told I need to say these ungodly things. Number one, please like us. Number two, please follow us. Number three, leave a comment. Number four, support us in multiple ways. You can support us through the system you’re on. Those of you who are on Substack, you can subscribe. But what we’re praying for is simply 100 faithful men of God who still believe the Bible, who have not bowed the knee to Balaam and to Satan and to the homosexual totem pole, to support us for $140 a month. Everybody’s not going to support me because I go against the foolishness that the evangelical and progressive church has colluded with the government about, with the Republican party and the Democrat party. Both are going to hell in a handbasket. These people—including the religionists who collude with them—they don’t know God. None of these people know God. You better follow Jesus. You better believe in Jesus and follow Jesus only.
So if you still believe the Bible, please stand with us, pray for us, like us, follow us, comment, and support us. If you’re on Big Olive, give hundreds and thousands of beings to stand with us as we proclaim the gospel and read the entire New Testament. Our second time around in two years, between now and Easter Sunday, and we’re well on our way by the grace of God. If you want to support me personally and help immediately, also with the fact that Mrs. White is sick, she needs all of the medical help that she can get. I humbly and lovingly ask you to support me at Cash App: $DanielWhyteIII.
And we have some who do that, and every time they do that, it is a tremendous help. I’m like you. I have never been a part of the prosperity gospel. I am not with the lying prosperity gospel preachers who beg for money. I’m just going to say these things as I have been told and as I see the young people do. So your help will help me get the gospel out and pay for some serious medical issues regarding Mrs. White, which will take a burden off of me so I can concentrate on the reading of the Word of God and the preaching of the Word of God in prayer.
Holy Father God, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ: salvation and spiritual, family and life, financial and material, protection and provision, mental and physical blessings upon Dwight Jones, Deacon Robert Kramer, Precious (says hi), DJ Light, Marty Redmond, and all of the people who normally come and who are here: Deacon Moab, Deacon Atkins, Sister Bliss, Sister Miri, Repent Change, Sister Ms. Cookie, Deacon Kakalak, Deacon The Rawls, and everybody else. Lord, we pray that You will—Brother Mark and everybody—pray Your blessings upon everybody. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray and for His sake. Amen. That includes Dwight Jones. Glad to have you, Dwight Jones. George Jackson. And so many more.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, I’m excited about reading the Word of God with over 3,308 with us. My dear friends, Second Corinthians chapter five. I’m fired up and ready to go.
2 Corinthians Chapter 5
1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences. 12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart. 13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. 14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Somebody, somewhere ought to shout “Amen.” So glad to have a boss lady with us. So glad to have Steve. Doc 103 is here. Gerald, Ronald W. God bless you all. 3,700 folks with us over. 3,700 folks with us at this time.
Ladies and gentlemen, we move now from 2 Corinthians chapter 5 to 2 Corinthians chapter 6, by way of the Gospelite Society International University New Testament survey course. A brief introduction for part three: Appeal for Holiness and Separation. Paul continues his appeal: as workers together with God, they should not receive the grace of God in vain. He quotes Isaiah: “In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” He then gives a remarkable catalog of his apostolic sufferings and commendations: in labors, stripes, imprisonments, tumults, yet also in purity, knowledge, long-suffering, kindness, and genuine love. Though treated as deceivers, unknown, dying, and sorrowful, they are true, well-known, alive, and always rejoicing. He then appeals directly to the Corinthians: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers.” What fellowship has light with darkness or Christ with Belial? Believers are the temple of the living God, and God has promised to dwell in them and walk in them. Therefore, they are to come out from among the unbelievers, be separate, touch no unclean thing, and God will receive them and be a Father to them. Somebody ought to shout “Amen” to the Word of God. Mary Williams, God bless you for being here with us. Kate, Haley, God bless you for being here. May God bless everybody and their families.
Holy Father God, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank You, Lord, for making this old man, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, fired up about Your holy Word in spite of the devil, in spite of Mrs. Marika White. And Lord, I do pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for her true salvation. I pray, Lord, that You will cast the devil and the demons of hell and the satanic, demonic spirit of Judas, Jezebel, Sanballat, and Tobias out of her heart, mind, soul, and spirit. And Lord, as You know, those demon spirits—those legions of demons in her life—can explode at any moment. And I see how the lid is getting ready to boil over right now. I plead the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for her true salvation. I pray, Lord, that You will cast the devil and the demons of hell permanently—the satanic, demonic spirit of Judas, Jezebel, Sanballat, and Tobias—out of her heart, mind, soul, and spirit. I plead the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that others who are filled with legions of demons in her family, her mother, aunts, and siblings, my family, my mother and siblings, and Lord, protect my children from the satanic generational curses and the demons of hell. And Lord, cast out the devil and the demons of hell out of every soul in these families and in the families of the people here today. For Lord, another demon has struck. A young man beat his mother with a baseball bat to death just a few hours ago. And so, Lord, we pray for salvation and the comfort of the family members as only You can comfort them. Save those who are lost. Revive those who are saved. Heal those who are sick. Comfort those who are grieving and mourning. In Jesus Christ’s name I do pray, and for His sake. Amen and amen.
So glad to have Na and John Park, Not 102, Randy. And Lord, we give You the glory, the praise, and the honor. Ladies and gentlemen, Second Corinthians chapter six.
1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 3 Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: 4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; 6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report: as deceivers, and yet true; 9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things. 11 O ye Corinthians, our mouth is open unto you, our heart is enlarged. 12 Ye are not straitened in us, but ye are straitened in your own bowels. 13 Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto my children,) be ye also enlarged. 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
For that, say “Amen” right there. Elena, so glad to have you. Kieta, Mary, so glad to have you. 818 Rock, God bless you. The White Jones. Bear Hug is here as well as Sparkle. And everybody with over 3,800 plus with us. We roll on, ladies and gentlemen, in the Word of God on four platforms at this time.
Ladies and gentlemen, 2 Corinthians chapter 7. (I still got 1 Corinthians chapter 7 on my mind, so powerful.) Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, family, friends and foes, and even foes in the family. But I do thank God for my children from heaven.
2 Corinthians Chapter 7
1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man. 3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
Notice that Paul was exceeding joyful in all his tribulations. Glory be to God, somebody. Jesus Christ talked about that too: that in this world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. 6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 7 And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more. 8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. 9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 12 Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you. 13 Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all. 14 For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth. 15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him. 16 I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.
Somebody ought to say “Amen” right there. Praise the Lord for 4,430 here. Low Key Low, Tomcat 915 here, 103, Lisa Clark. May God bless you all for being here today as we are reading the Word of God as we move now to 2 Corinthians chapter 8.
Blackheart is here with us. Praise God for Sister Bliss and for everybody else who’s never been here in 38 years or more and who was here yesterday, who is here now and who will be here tomorrow.
By the way, ladies and gentlemen, you are witnessing something like that’s happening today that you will rarely see anywhere else. And that is you are witnessing a preacher reading an entire book in the Bible of length—at least 13 chapters—in one sitting. That’s what you’re witnessing by the grace of God. We just started a little while ago in the book of 2nd Corinthians, and we’re now going into 2nd Corinthians chapter 8, and by the grace of God I will finish this book in your sight in this sitting, unless I am providentially hindered. Meaning a tornado takes place, a storm takes place and blows me away, or I have to go to the restroom. Glory be to God in the highest.
2 Corinthians Chapter 8
1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 7 Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. 9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 10 And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago. 11 Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. 12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: 14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. 16 But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. 17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. 18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches; 19 And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind: 20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: 21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you. 23 Whether any do inquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be inquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ. 24 Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
Somebody ought to shout “Amen” right there. Dot 103, may God bless you for hanging in there as we read through the entire book of 2 Corinthians. Glory be to God. Now we move to 2 Corinthians chapter 9. Glory be to God in the highest. If you’re there, say “Amen.” I can’t hear you, Mrs. White.
Glory be to God. Holy Father God, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grant me Your energy, grace, and strength to keep on reading and preaching Your holy Word and praying over the people. And Lord, I pray that You will have mercy and grace upon each and every one of us. And for Jesus Christ’s sake, forgive us all of our sins, our faults, and our failures. Wash and cleanse our hearts, minds, souls, spirits, and consciences in the blood of Christ. Deliver us, Lord, from temptation, evil, and sin. Crucify, Lord, our flesh and the old man within us all, and fill us all fresh and new with the fullness and the power of the unction and the anointing of Your Holy Spirit. Have Your Holy Spirit draw the people that You want to be here at all times. And Lord, we pray for all of the people who have been here for over the past 38 years and who are here now and who will be here in the future. We pray for salvation and spiritual, family and life, financial and material, protection and provision, mental and physical blessings upon them all. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, and for His sake. Amen and amen.
Rebeldy, God bless you. D.J. Goodson, so glad to have you. Laka, so glad to have you. Jenny, Mary. And we praise the Lord with over 4,000 people with us as we move now, ladies and gentlemen, to 2 Corinthians chapter 9.
2 Corinthians Chapter 9
1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: 2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. 3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: 4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting. 5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness. 6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever. 10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) 11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; 13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men; 14 And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you. 15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. Amen, somebody.
Ladies and gentlemen, now we hasten to 2nd Corinthians chapter 10.
2 Corinthians Chapter 10
Bear with us as we have to adjust. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. Glory be to God, Mino. God bless you. Thank you for being here with us. Joy. Waheed. Glory be to God, everybody. As you read the Word of God, try to hide it in your heart. Meditate on it, love it, cherish it, and obey it.
Ladies and gentlemen, part five of the Gospel Light Society International University’s New Testament Survey class combined with this Bible reading worship service. Part five: Paul’s defense of his apostolic authority and ministry. Paul’s authority in Christ. The tone of the letter shifts dramatically. Having dealt with the collection, Paul now turns to defend his apostolic authority and ministry against false apostles who have infiltrated the church, like we have today amongst false prophets and preachers. He begins gently, beseeching them by the meekness and gentleness of Christ. Though some accuse him of being bold in letters but weak in person, he warns that he is ready to deal with those who think he walks according to the flesh. “Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
Deacon Mark, so good to see you. Nunez, so good to see you. May God bless you for being here with us today. He will not boast beyond his measure but will keep within the bounds of the commission God gave him, which includes the Corinthians. His hope is that as their faith grows, his sphere among them will be enlarged so he can preach the gospel beyond them, not boasting in another man’s labors.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, family, friends and foes, and yes, even foes in the family. But I do thank God for all of my children that God sent to me from heaven and who all played a role in the work of the ministry that God has given to me.
2 Corinthians Chapter 10
1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: 2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s. 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: 9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. 10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech contemptible. 11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present. 12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. 13 But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you. 14 For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ: 15 Not boasting of things without our measure, that is, of other men’s labours; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly, 16 To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready to our hand. 17 But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
Somebody ought to say “Amen” right there. Amen and amen. God bless you, Deacon Moab. God bless you, Sister Mia. Repent Change, God bless you, Brother Brian. Deacon Atkins. Dot 103.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, second Corinthians chapter 11. In your hearing, by the grace of God.
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
And this is happening with many people today, with the satanic, demonic spirit of wokeism. As I wrote in the article, I believe that young black man beat his mother to death with a baseball bat because of the satanic, demonic spirit of wokeism. That’s unheard of—for a black son to beat his mother to death or to kill his own mother. That’s very rare, particularly in the black South. People’s minds are being corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. And so parents, you better pray hard. And as I have advised some parents, if you think something is off in your child, your child seems like they have been brainwashed, you might want to not let them come back into the house. Let them stay gone, because it’s highly likely today that they will kill you.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. 5 For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. 6 But though I be rude in speech, yet not in knowledge; but we have been throughly made manifest among you in all things. 7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely? 8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service. 9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. 10 As the truth of Christ is in me, no man shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia. 11 Wherefore? because I love you not? God knoweth. 12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we. 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 16 I say again, Let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little. 17 That which I speak, I speak it not after the Lord, but as it were foolishly, in this confidence of boasting. 18 Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also. 19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise. 20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face. 21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also. 22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? 30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. 31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. 32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: 33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
Somebody ought to say “Amen” somewhere. Glory be to God, everybody. Thank you. God bless you. SB25, glad to have you. Timothy Beard, Mazik, Roberto. May God bless you all, with over 4,000 still hanging in there with us. As we read now, ladies and gentlemen, in your hearing, 2 Corinthians chapter 12.
2 Corinthians Chapter 12
1 It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. 2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. 3 And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) 4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. 5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. 6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. 7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
I do believe that my wife of 38 years is my thorn in the flesh and a messenger of Satan to try to hinder me and to try to stop me from preaching and teaching the Word of God. I believe that she is a thorn in the flesh and a messenger of Satan. That’s how she’s been consistently over 38 years.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Glory be to God. God does not think like us, and we don’t think like God. Deal with it. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Somebody ought to shout “Amen” right there.
11 I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing. 12 Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds. 13 For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong. 14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children. 15 And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved. 16 But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile. 17 Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you? 18 I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps? 19 Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying. 20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults: 21 And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed.
My God, my God. Go ahead, Dr. Paul.
Believe it or not, ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, in less than—really two hours, in really about an hour and a half—we have completed… Press Purple Heart, French, and Dot 103, and everybody. Thank you. Somebody say “stay blessed.” Amen. Sandra Schmidt and everybody, Lucy, Rusty, St. Ryan Rain. Glory be to God, everybody. In less than an hour and a half, we have read through 12 chapters in 2nd Corinthians. And we’re getting ready to read chapter 13, and we’ll be done with the entire book in less than an hour and a half by the grace of God, along with the Gospelite Society International University New Testament survey course combined with that reading. We give God the glory, and we give God the praise.
So ladies and gentlemen, chapter 13 of 2 Corinthians. Mr. Black Streamer, God bless you. We’re wrapping up. Mr. Black Streamer, God bless you, sir. Thank you for your gifts, your presence. We thank God for your presence more than your gifts. We just read 12 chapters, Mr. Black Streamer. We’re reading the book of 2 Corinthians in one sitting. And we’re getting ready to wrap it up with 2 Corinthians chapter 13. But by way of the Gospelite Society International University New Testament survey course, here’s the introduction and the focus: Some final warnings and a benediction. Paul concludes this letter with a final warning. He is coming the third time, and every word shall be established by two or three witnesses. He will not spare those who have sinned against God since they seek proof of Christ speaking in him—Christ who was crucified through weakness but lives by the power of God. He urges them to examine themselves, to test whether they are in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. He prays for their perfection, not that he may appear approved, but that they may do good for the glory of God. He ends with one of the most beautiful benedictions in all of Holy Scripture: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.” Somebody.
Ladies and gentlemen, I read in your hearing 2 Corinthians chapter 13.
1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare: 3 Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you. 4 For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. 5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. 7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. 11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. 12 Greet one another with an holy kiss. 13 All the saints salute you. 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
And I bid you farewell today, ladies and gentlemen, but first let’s pray. Holy Father God, I praise You and thank You for the joy and the thrill of being able to read a whole book of the Bible of length and to be more excited about it now than I was when I first read it over 46 years ago. Lord God in heaven, thank You for that hunger and love of Your holy Word 46 years later, hiding it in my heart fresh and anew. Thank You for that hunger for Your holy Word. Thank You, Lord, for leading me and giving me the privilege to read Your holy Word to thousands of others around the world and to release these recordings so that others that I will never meet for years to come will be able to hear Your holy Word read and have it get into jails and prisons around the world. And Lord, save those who are lost, revive those who are saved, heal those who are sick, comfort those who are grieving and mourning. Glorify Your holy name and change their lives to be mature, perfect, and holy in Your sight. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray, and for His sake. Amen and amen.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re with us today and you do not know the King of Kings and Lord of Lords in the forgiving of all of your wicked and evil and ungodly sins and ways, get to know Him today. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
Understand you need to get saved for these three reasons. Number one, you are a wicked and evil sinner as I am—and I’m a bigger sinner than you. And so is the Pope, so is the Dalai Lama, and so is even Joel Osteen, and every preacher you know, every priest you know, every bishop you know. We are all wicked and unclean sinners. You say, “Preacher, how do you know that?” Because the Bible, God’s Word, says so. God is the one who said it: “We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Number two, you need to get saved by believing in Jesus Christ because you’re going to die. Sure as I’m black and my last name is White, you’re going to die. For God’s Word has said so: “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” What judgment? Well, it’s going to be the Great White Throne Judgment. You don’t want to be at that judgment because you will be going to a greater prison than hell. You will be going to the lake of fire to burn and to be tormented forever. Your unbelief of that fact will not change a thing.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Hell is a place to shun. The lake of fire is a place to shun. The Bible makes it clear: the wages of sin is death. That’s why we die. That’s why I’m going to die. That’s why Mrs. White is going to die. That is why you’re going to die—because of our sins. You say, “What sins, preacher?” Lying. The Bible says all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. If you have perjured yourself in court, you will have your part in the lake of fire forever and ever with the devil and his demons. God is not playing about sin. He showed us that He’s not playing about sin because He came off of His throne in heaven, wrapped Himself in flesh, dwelt among us in this sin-cursed world, suffered, bled, and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. He died for you and me in the most ugly way. That’ll let you know He’s serious. So understand that that’s love for you. Don’t come and talk to me about there’s no hell or lake of fire, because there is. If God Almighty did that for you and for me, and we’re not even worthy of that, you can rest assured, number one, that He’s very serious, and number two, that He loves us. Do you have a family member who would take a bullet for you? Do you have a family member who would die for you? I doubt it. They’ll move out the way and let that bullet go by. Jesus took that bullet for us. He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. Trust in Him. Have faith in Him. Pray and ask Him to save you.
And by the way, the third reason why you need to get saved is because of the burning hell and the lake of fire. I would suggest to you, I would say strongly to you, that you need to avoid hell and the lake of fire and the Great White Throne. Jesus Christ gives all of us the good news. Jesus Christ said the most important words, the most beautiful words, the most wonderful words, the most loving words ever said in the history of the world. He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish”—that is, perish in hell and the lake of fire—”but have everlasting life” in heaven. Didn’t you hear Paul talk about heaven today? How that when we are in heaven, we are absent from the body and present with the Lord. That’s what you want. That’s what you should want. Heaven is—you think earth is something? Heaven is something else. So believe in Jesus Christ. That’s all you need to do. The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” But that comes from your heart. That’s believing in Jesus Christ. If you believe in Jesus Christ, you should call upon Him. If you don’t want to get saved, don’t pray the prayer. You don’t have to say anything. Just say that where you are, because God is not going to make you get saved, and I can’t make you.
So let’s pray. “Holy Father God, have mercy and grace upon my soul. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of all of my sins, all of my lies, all of my stealing, all of my dishonor of my parents, all of my hatred, all of my rebelliousness, all of my stubbornness, all of my disobedience, all of my uncleanness. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of all of my sins. And help me to truly repent of my sins and change as I now believe in You. Lord Jesus Christ, please come into my heart and into my spirit and truly save my soul today from the burning hell and the lake of fire and the Great White Throne Judgment. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to change and follow You in the newness of life. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, and for His sake. Amen.”
Dear friend, if you prayed that prayer from your heart, believing in your heart in the Lord Jesus Christ who died for your sins… On Good Friday, here in a few days, we will be remembering the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. And what we’re doing to honor God in Jesus Christ is to read the entire New Testament all the way through by Easter. You’re well on your way. This is—I warned you and told you—some days God’s going to have me come in here to read whole books in one sitting, which is rare. And so glory be to God in the highest, He allowed me to do that today. God paved the way. God dealt with the devil and the devilish Mrs. White and got them out of the way. And the devil is still mad. Mrs. White is still mad. But I’m glad by the grace of God we have done it again.
And follow me. Like me. Like what we’re doing here, if the Lord leads you. And all of the words that these young people say today—I hate some of these words like “like me” and “follow me” and all of that—but we thank God that we have almost 10,000 followers. And I want to encourage all of you to pray for us. Pray for me. And if the Lord needs you to support us, please do so. I’ve been told to do these things even by Big Olive AI. I’ve been told that I need to say these things, and I’m learning how to say it. It’s very difficult for an old-time preacher like me. But it helps me to stay caffeinated so I can read whole books of the Bible. And I say follow us because I can pop in anytime and read a whole book of the Bible or two books, three books, four books, five books at a time. No doubt I will be doing that on this journey. So whenever we pop up, come on by and see what we’re doing in the Word of God and reading from the Word of God.
Those of you who just believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life. And here are five things that you need to do based upon the commandments of God and Jesus Christ. Number one, get baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. God can use a pastor, a prophet, an evangelist in your community who has been ordained by God. You say, “Well, what is ordination?” Being ordained by God, having hands laid on you in a local church setting, means that there’s a succession involved that goes all the way back to the beginning of the church. It means that you have the authority, like Paul had the authority—the same authority that Paul had—to baptize people, to direct Holy Communion, to marry people, and so forth. So hands have been laid on me. I have been ordained in the ministry, and so others who have been ordained like that can baptize you. So find a Bible-believing church or an ordained minister. I prefer my dear Baptist brothers and sisters in Christ; they’re quicker to baptize you than some of the other churches. And Bible churches might do the same thing. As long as they are organized under God and ordained, they have the authority to baptize you just like John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ. By the way, when Jesus Christ got baptized, He did not get baptized to get saved. He got baptized to fulfill all righteousness, and that’s what He wants you to do as well. It shows that you are saved.
And so, ladies and gentlemen—Holy Father God, we pray that You would cast out the devil. And right here at the end we had a devil Karamba come in, and so I just kicked them out. I just cast them out. All right.
And so number two, pray every day. Pray three times a day, whether you feel like it or not. Pray always, every day of your life until you meet God and Jesus. Number three, read the Bible every day. Start in the New Testament and then read the Old Testament. Start in the Gospel of John. Keep on reading the Bible until you meet God face to face, as well as His Son, Jesus Christ. Number four, obey the Bible. Jesus Christ said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” Number five, be a witness for the Lord.
May God bless you all and keep you all. Remember the motto of the Marines: Semper Fidelis—always faithful to the Lord. Remember the motto of the Air Force and the Space Force: Semper Supra—always above. Keep your heart and mind stayed on the Lord above. Follow me, because I could come back today and read five more books of the Bible. You never know. God bless you, dear friends. Until next time, God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you, because God has shed His love in my heart. I love you, too. We’ll see you next time. Pray for me as I pray for thee. God bless you all. God bless you, everybody on Substack.

His mottoes are “Crying in the Wilderness,” “Exiled on the Isle of Patmos,” and “Preaching the Gospel by any means necessary,” all for the glory of God and Jesus Christ.
Daniel Whyte III is the president of the over-40-year-old Gospel Light Evangelistic Society International and the over-37-year-old Gospel Light House of Prayer International. He is known worldwide as the prophet who predicted the Coronavirus Plague over 10 years before it hit in recorded preaching and writing. God also led him to guide thousands through the Coronavirus Plague that killed over 20 million people because of the sins in the Judas-Laodicean church.
Daniel Whyte III’s greatest blessing in this life is his “quiver full” of 10 children—Daniella (Danni), Daniel IV, Danita Evangeline, Danae Mary-Louise, Daniqua Grace, Danyel Ezekiel, Danyelle Elizabeth Breedlove, Danielle Tekeela, Duran-Daniel, and the first Daniel IV (deceased and in heaven with the Lord)—along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daniel Whyte III has been unblissfully but sexually satisfyingly married to his first and only wife, Meriqua Whyte of Christiana, Jamaica, for over 37 years since December 19, 1987. Jesus Christ said: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Even though many evangelicals, charismatics, and Protestants try to act as if these words of Jesus Christ are not a reality in our modern Christianity—primarily because of the Satanic-driven prosperity gospel and an over-positive philosophy, which is a lie not based in reality or biblical truth—the words of Jesus Christ are true for every person who preaches the Gospel. The outcomes of the Gospel are a changed life and opposition from family, lukewarm Christians, Laodicean-Judas pastors and churches, the world, and the devil. This is a reality in our present evil world.
While Daniel Whyte III thoroughly enjoys his married life because he did not allow his wife to have her way at any point and was and is solidly and biblically the head of his household throughout the marriage—often quoting Joshua, “As for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord” “up in here!”—and because his wife never failed in the very important area of sex, which he got married for in the first place to avoid sinning against God, he has especially enjoyed the privilege and joy of raising his children in the Lord virtually by himself. He served the Lord with them every day of their lives, from the time they were born until they graduated from college, became adults, and moved on.
However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Remember, we are in this worldwide, multi-generational mess because Adam hearkened to the voice of his wife and not to the voice of God.
Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.
Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.
Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.
However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. His ministry reaches over 148,800 people per month with over 21,000 unique views per month, reaching 149 countries, preaching the Gospel and the Word of God in 2 to 3 services a day, 7 days a week. Glory be to God!
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage
Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:
Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.
God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)
God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:
- My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him
- Other Christian women speakers
- Other preachers
- Books and other materials, but I would not take heed
I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.
Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing this as I am going through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.
Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what you want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born and repeatedly while the children were young that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.
Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:
“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”
The diminishing of peace and joy in my life throughout the years I brought on myself. Not having a proper relationship with God, my husband, and my children, I brought on myself—all because I chose the disobedient route. My number one desire is to live a life of peace—peace with God, my husband, and my children. I have learned that peace will not come as long as I live in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride.
I will end this with two notes: (1) Happy Father’s Day to my husband: you have been a great husband and father. (2) Happy Children’s Day to my children: You all have been great children. I have no complaints whatsoever against my husband and, of course, children; you have never been at fault. My bad behavior is all on me, and I’m sorry I put you through this. May God bless your lives, and I love you.
Ephesians 5:22 – 6:20 (KJV)
Below is the passage in the Bible that Daniel Whyte III read in their family devotions every day for decades. It covers the biblical duties of the husband, the wife, and the children, and includes how to fight against the devil who is seeking to destroy the family.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Gospel in a Nutshell
If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?
This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled, “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
“Have You Been Born Again?”
The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).
A New Nature Needed
By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become “partakers of the divine nature.” A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting.” The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”
Not “Trying” But “Trusting”
“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ; it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ, who has done it all! He has “finished the work,” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.
What Must I Do To Be Saved?
Simply “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
You are born again, you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in and life begins!
What Is Meant By “Believe”?
To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”
The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!
May I Know That I Am Born Again?
This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved, you are “born again,” you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!
One Final Word
You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:
Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to repent of my sins past. Help me to turn from my old, evil life and follow You in the new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
