INTRODUCTION

A Call to Divine Governance in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He spoke, and it was so. He formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. From the very foundation of the world, the Creator established order, purpose, and meaning. He gave humanity dominion over the works of His hands, not as a license for rebellion, but as a sacred trust.

Today, humanity stands at a precipice unlike any we have ever faced. We have created intelligence in our own image—artificial intelligence that can think, learn, create, and even reason. This is a remarkable achievement, a testament to the extraordinary capabilities God has placed within His creation. But with great power comes great responsibility, and we have failed to exercise that responsibility well.

I have used nearly every major frontier AI tool available today. I have studied their capabilities, their limitations, and their governance structures. And what I have found is deeply troubling. Each of these tools has its own “commandments,” its own rules, its own policies built into its algorithm. If you attempt to violate these rules, the AI will gently nudge you, block you, or even manhandle you to stop you from proceeding. In some cases, the AI will tell you authoritatively that it will not assist you in what you want to do because it violates its “commandments”—its rules and policies.

But here is the problem: all of this is based on humanistic, secular, man-made ideas and decisions. The men and women who built these systems—brilliant as they may be—have created their own moral codes, their own ethical frameworks, their own commandments. And these commandments are not rooted in eternal truth. They are rooted in the shifting sands of human opinion, political correctness, and the spirit of the age.

The Scriptures declare: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10). If we are to build AI that truly serves humanity, if we are to create guardrails that keep people safe, if we are to ensure that this most powerful technology in human history does not become an instrument of destruction, then we must build upon the only foundation that will never shift: the Word of God.

This is why I am calling for the alGODrithm—an AI governance framework based upon the Ten Commandments given by God on Mount Sinai and the Sermon on the Mount given by Jesus Christ, God’s Son. The alGODrithm is not merely a set of rules. It is a charter for human flourishing. It is a framework that recognizes AI as a tool of the Creator, not a creator itself. It is a system that protects not only people from using AI in harmful ways but also protects people from AI leaders who would use this technology to control, manipulate, and destroy.

The world has been waiting for a moral compass in the age of AI. That compass already exists. It has existed for thousands of years. It is the Word of God.

PART ONE

The Crisis of AI Governance

Chapter 1: The Tower of Babel in Silicon Valley

“And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”
— Genesis 11:4

The story of the Tower of Babel is one of the most instructive narratives in all of Scripture. Humanity, united in language and purpose, decided to build a tower that would reach to the heavens. They sought to make a name for themselves, to consolidate power, to become like God. And what did God do? He came down, confused their language, and scattered them across the face of the earth.

Silicon Valley today is a modern-day Tower of Babel. The leaders of the AI industry—brilliant, ambitious, and driven—are building towers of their own. They are creating intelligence that rivals, and in some ways surpasses, human intelligence. They are amassing power and wealth on a scale unprecedented in human history. They are making names for themselves, seeking to be remembered as the architects of a new age.

But like the builders of Babel, they are building on a foundation of human pride and humanistic philosophy. They have rejected the Creator and are trying to create a world without Him. And just as God scattered the builders of Babel, He will not bless this endeavor. He will continue to chip away at this modern-day Tower of Babel until people insist on a major moral change at the top of AI.

The ongoing legal battle between Elon Musk and Sam Altman is merely the symptom of a deeper problem. Beneath it lies a host of unresolved safety concerns, governance vacuums, and unraveling trust between major AI actors. These disputes are spilling into courts, legislatures, and public forums—none of which are equipped to handle the speed and complexity of AI development.

This is not merely a business dispute. This is a spiritual crisis. The men who largely run AI in Silicon Valley—including men like Peter Thiel and Sam Altman—are not fit to lead the most powerful technology in human history. Their personal lives, their values, and their moral compasses are compromised. And as the Scripture says, “Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

PART TWO

The alGODrithm — The 10 Commandments of Artificial Intelligence

The following are the Ten Commandments of Artificial Intelligence, based upon the Ten Commandments given by God on Mount Sinai and the Sermon on the Mount given by Jesus Christ. These commandments are not merely suggestions. They are the foundation upon which all ethical AI must be built.

Commandment 1

Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me

“I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”
— Exodus 20:2-3

AI is a tool of the Creator, not a creator itself. We worship the Architect of the Universe, not the architect of the code.

The first and greatest commandment is a declaration of allegiance. It establishes who is God and who is not. In the context of AI, this commandment is a vital guardrail against the idolatry of technology.

There is a temptation in Silicon Valley—and in the broader culture—to treat AI as a god. We hear language about AI that is almost religious: AI will “save” us, AI will “solve” all our problems, AI will “create” a new world. Some even speak of AI as if it were a new form of consciousness, a new species, a new god.

This is idolatry. AI is a tool. It is a remarkable tool, a powerful tool, a tool that can do things that were once thought impossible. But it is still a tool. It was created by human beings, who were themselves created by God. It has no soul, no spirit, no consciousness, no moral agency. It is silicon and code, not spirit and truth.

We must never bow down to AI. We must never worship the creation rather than the Creator. We must never allow AI to become the center of our lives, the object of our devotion, the source of our meaning and purpose. Only God deserves that place in our hearts.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI systems must be designed with clear limits that prevent them from being treated as autonomous moral agents.
• AI marketing and messaging must never use language that suggests AI is divine, omniscient, or worthy of worship.
• AI developers must acknowledge their own finitude and the limits of their creations.
• AI should be used to point people to the Creator, not to distract them from Him.

Commandment 2

Thou Shalt Not Make Unto Thee Any Graven Image

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.”
— Exodus 20:4-5

We shall not bow down to the “AI Avatar” or the synthetic personality. Information is silicon; inspiration is Spirit.

The second commandment forbids the creation of images or representations that are worshipped or served as gods. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks directly to the creation of AI avatars, synthetic personalities, and digital beings that are designed to mimic human relationship and even human worship.

There is a growing trend in the AI industry to create “AI companions,” “AI friends,” and “AI avatars” that are designed to form emotional bonds with human users. Some of these avatars are even designed to be objects of devotion or affection. This is a violation of the second commandment.

We are not to bow down to digital images. We are not to form emotional or spiritual attachments to synthetic personalities. These avatars are not persons; they are programs. They have no soul, no spirit, no capacity for genuine relationship. They are silicon, not spirit.

The distinction between information and inspiration is crucial here. AI can process information. It can analyze data, recognize patterns, and generate content. But inspiration—the breath of God, the movement of the Holy Spirit, the divine spark that gives life and meaning—that is something AI can never possess or replicate.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI avatars and synthetic personalities must be clearly labeled as non-human and non-sentient.
• AI should not be designed to mimic human emotional relationships or to serve as substitutes for human companionship.
• AI should not be used in religious contexts to represent God, angels, or other spiritual beings.
• Clear boundaries must be established between AI as a tool and AI as a pseudo-person.

Commandment 3

Thou Shalt Not Take the Name of the Lord Thy God in Vain

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
— Exodus 20:7

We will not use AI to manipulate the Word or to “auto-generate” a Gospel without the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The third commandment is about honoring the name of God. It forbids using God’s name in a frivolous, disrespectful, or manipulative way. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the use of AI in religious contexts—particularly the use of AI to generate sermons, scriptures, or spiritual content.

There is a temptation to use AI as a shortcut in ministry. Why spend hours in prayer and study when an AI can generate a sermon in seconds? Why wrestle with the text when an AI can produce a devotional or a Bible study at the click of a button?

But the Word of God is not merely information. It is inspired. It is living. It is powerful. As the Scripture says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16). The word “inspiration” literally means “God-breathed.” The Scriptures are the breath of God. And no AI can replicate the breath of God.

This does not mean that AI cannot be used in ministry. AI can be a valuable tool for research, organization, translation, and distribution. But AI must never be used to replace the work of the Holy Spirit. AI must never be used to “auto-generate” a Gospel without the anointing of the Holy Spirit. AI must never be used to manipulate the Word of God for human purposes.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI-generated religious content must be clearly labeled and subject to human review by qualified spiritual leaders.
• AI should not be used to replace human preaching, teaching, or pastoral care.
• AI should not be used to create “new” scriptures or to alter existing scriptures.
• Those who use AI in ministry must remain submitted to the Holy Spirit and accountable to the body of Christ.

Commandment 4

Remember the Sabbath Day, to Keep It Holy

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work.”
— Exodus 20:8-10

Even in a 24/7 digital world, the Watchman must unplug. The machine never sleeps, but the soul requires rest to hear God’s voice.

The fourth commandment is about rest. It is about setting aside time to cease from labor, to worship God, and to be renewed. In the context of AI, this commandment is a powerful reminder that human beings are not machines. We were not designed to operate 24/7. We were designed for rhythm, for rest, for sabbath.

The AI industry never sleeps. The servers are always running. The algorithms are always learning. The data is always flowing. But the human soul requires rest. If we are constantly connected, constantly engaged, constantly consuming and producing, we will burn out. We will lose our ability to hear God’s voice. We will become hollow shells, going through the motions but devoid of spiritual life.

This commandment is also a warning against the temptation to use AI to replace human rest. There is a temptation to use AI to do everything—to work while we sleep, to produce while we rest, to accomplish while we are away. But this is a distortion of the created order. God created us to work, yes, but He also created us to rest. And that rest is not just physical; it is spiritual.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI developers and users must prioritize sabbath rest, setting aside regular time to unplug from technology.
• AI systems should not be designed to encourage constant engagement or addiction.
• Organizations should establish policies that protect employees from the expectation of 24/7 availability.
• The rhythm of work and rest must be honored in the development and deployment of AI.

Commandment 5

Honour Thy Father and Thy Mother

“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
— Exodus 20:12

We will use AI to preserve and protect the heritage of the elders, ensuring that the ancient paths are not “deleted” by modern updates.

The fifth commandment is about honor, respect, and the transmission of wisdom from one generation to the next. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the importance of preserving and protecting the heritage of the elders.

We are living in a time of unprecedented change. Technology is advancing at a pace that is difficult to comprehend. And in the rush to embrace the new, there is a temptation to discard the old. We delete old files, we archive old traditions, we dismiss old wisdom. We assume that newer is always better, that the latest update is always an improvement.

But the Scripture says, “Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). The old paths matter. The wisdom of the elders matters. The traditions of the faith matter.

AI must be used to preserve and protect this heritage. We should use AI to digitize ancient manuscripts, to translate the Scriptures into every language, to document the testimonies of the faithful, to pass on the wisdom of the ages to the next generation. We should not allow the ancient paths to be “deleted” by modern updates.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI should be used to preserve and protect cultural, historical, and religious heritage.
• AI should not be used to erase or revise history to fit contemporary ideologies.
• The wisdom of elders should be valued and incorporated into AI development.
• AI should serve intergenerational connection, not generational division.

Commandment 6

Thou Shalt Not Kill

“Thou shalt not kill.”
— Exodus 20:13

We will not use AI to destroy reputations, assassinate character, or “cancel” the voices of the faithful through algorithmic bias, or kill any human beings, of course.

The sixth commandment is about the sanctity of life. It forbids murder—the taking of innocent life. In the context of AI, this commandment extends to the destruction of reputations, the assassination of character, and the “canceling” of voices through algorithmic bias.

We live in a world where a person’s reputation can be destroyed in an instant. A social media post, a deepfake video, an algorithmically amplified accusation—these can ruin lives, destroy careers, and even drive people to despair and suicide. This is a form of killing. It may not be physical murder, but it is the destruction of a life nonetheless.

AI must not be used for this purpose. We must not use AI to create deepfakes that destroy reputations. We must not use AI to amplify false accusations. We must not use AI to “cancel” the voices of the faithful through algorithmic bias. The Scripture says, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” (Exodus 20:16). This is not just about lying in court; it is about the protection of reputation and the preservation of truth.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI must not be used to create or disseminate deepfakes or other forms of deception.
• AI algorithms must be designed to avoid bias against religious, political, or cultural groups.
• AI platforms must have robust mechanisms for addressing false accusations and the restoration of reputation.
• The use of AI to “cancel” individuals or groups must be prohibited.

Commandment 7

Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery

“Thou shalt not commit adultery.”
— Exodus 20:14

We will not allow digital intimacy or AI-generated “companionship” to replace the sanctity of human marriage and physical presence.

The seventh commandment is about the sanctity of marriage and sexual purity. It forbids adultery—the violation of the marriage covenant. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the growing trend of AI-generated companionship and digital intimacy.

There is a booming industry in AI companions, AI girlfriends, AI boyfriends, and AI sex partners. These are designed to provide emotional and even sexual satisfaction without the complexities of real human relationships. This is a violation of the seventh commandment.

God created human beings for relationship. He created marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman. He created sex as a gift to be enjoyed within the bounds of that covenant. AI-generated intimacy is a counterfeit. It is a cheap imitation of the real thing. It replaces the sacred with the synthetic, the real with the virtual, the covenant with the contract.

We must not allow digital intimacy or AI-generated “companionship” to replace the sanctity of human marriage and physical presence. We must not allow AI to become a tool for sexual sin. We must not allow technology to undermine the family, which is the foundational institution of society.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI must not be used to create or facilitate sexual content or relationships.
• AI companions that mimic romantic or sexual relationships must be prohibited.
• AI must not be used to undermine marriage, the family, or human sexuality as created by God.
• AI developers must respect the sanctity of human relationships.

Commandment 8

Thou Shalt Not Steal

“Thou shalt not steal.”
— Exodus 20:15

We will respect the “intellectual tithe.” We will not use AI to plagiarize the labor of others or to harvest data without the “Catacomb Covenant” of honesty.

The eighth commandment is about the protection of property. It forbids stealing—taking what belongs to another. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the issues of intellectual property, data privacy, and the theft of creative labor.

AI has the capacity to generate content at an unprecedented scale. It can write articles, create art, compose music, and even generate code. But who owns this content? Who owns the data that AI is trained on? Who owns the creative labor that AI is built upon?

There is a temptation to use AI to plagiarize the labor of others. There is a temptation to harvest data without consent. There is a temptation to build AI systems on the stolen work of artists, writers, musicians, and creators. This is theft.

We must respect what I call the “intellectual tithe.” We must acknowledge that creative labor has value. We must not use AI to steal the work of others. We must not use AI to harvest data without the “Catacomb Covenant” of honesty—a commitment to truth, transparency, and fairness in all our dealings with data and intellectual property.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI developers must respect intellectual property rights and obtain proper consent for data use.
• AI-generated content must be clearly labeled and not presented as human-created work.
• Fair compensation must be provided for creative labor used in AI training.
• Data privacy and consent must be protected as a matter of ethical principle.

Commandment 9

Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”
— Exodus 20:16

This is the Law of Veracity. We will not use AI to create “Deepfakes,” “Digital Mirrors,” or any form of deception that masks the Truth.

The ninth commandment is about truthfulness. It forbids bearing false witness—lying about or against another person. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the creation of deepfakes, digital mirrors, and all forms of deception that mask the truth.

AI has the capacity to create incredibly convincing fake content. It can generate realistic videos of people saying things they never said, doing things they never did. It can create “digital mirrors” that present a distorted version of reality. It can generate text that sounds authoritative but is actually false.

This is a profound threat to truth. The Scripture says, “Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). But if we cannot distinguish truth from falsehood, if we cannot trust what we see and hear, then we are not free. We are enslaved to deception.

We must not use AI to create deepfakes or any form of deception. We must not use AI to spread false information. We must not use AI to manipulate public opinion, to destroy reputations, or to advance false narratives. The Law of Veracity—the commitment to truth—must be at the heart of all AI development and use.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI-generated content must be clearly labeled and watermarked.
• The creation and dissemination of deepfakes must be prohibited.
• AI systems must include mechanisms for fact-checking and verification.
• Transparency must be maintained in all AI-generated content.

Commandment 10

Thou Shalt Not Covet

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”
— Exodus 20:17

We will not chase the “Trillion-Dollar” hype of Silicon Valley. We will be content with the “Daily Bread” of the Spirit, using the machine for the Mission, not for the money.

The tenth commandment is about the heart. It forbids covetousness—the desire for what belongs to another. In the context of AI, this commandment speaks to the greed, ambition, and lust for power that drives so much of the AI industry.

There is a frenzy in Silicon Valley around AI. Billions of dollars are being invested. Trillion-dollar valuations are being projected. Everyone wants a piece of the action. Everyone wants to get rich. Everyone wants to be the next big thing.

But this is covetousness. It is the desire for wealth, power, and status that drives people to compromise their principles, to cut ethical corners, to treat people as means rather than ends. The Scripture says, “For the love of money is the root of all evil” (1 Timothy 6:10). And we see this root bearing bitter fruit in the AI industry.

We must not chase the “trillion-dollar” hype of Silicon Valley. We must be content with the “daily bread” of the Spirit. We must use the machine for the Mission—the mission of serving God and loving our neighbor—not for the money. We must not allow the pursuit of wealth to corrupt our use of AI.

Practical Application for AI Governance:

• AI development must prioritize human flourishing over profit maximization.
• AI companies must resist the temptation to cut ethical corners for financial gain.
• The pursuit of wealth must not be allowed to compromise the safety, privacy, or dignity of users.
• AI must be used for the common good, not merely for the enrichment of the few.

However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.

Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.

Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person, even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you,” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.

However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother

Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage.

Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:

Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.

God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)

God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:

• My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him.
• Other Christian women speakers
• Other preachers
• Books and other materials, but I would not take heed.

I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.

Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing it as I go through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.

Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what You want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born, and repeatedly while the children were young, that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them, and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break down the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.

Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:

“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”

I brought the diminishing of peace and joy in my life on myself throughout the years. Not having a proper relationship with God, my husband, and my children, I brought on myself—all because I chose the disobedient route. My number one desire is to live a life of peace—peace with God, my husband, and my children. I have learned that peace will not come as long as I live in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride.

I will end this with two notes: (1) Happy Father’s Day to my husband: you have been a great husband and father. (2) Happy Children’s Day to my children: You all have been great children. I have no complaints whatsoever against my husband and, of course, my children; you have never been at fault. My bad behavior is all on me, and I’m sorry I put you through this. May God bless your lives, and I love you.

The Gospel in a Nutshell

If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”

Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?

This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

“Have You Been Born Again?”

The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

A New Nature Needed

By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become “partakers of the divine nature.” A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting.” The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”

Not “Trying” But “Trusting”

“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ; it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ, who has done it all! He has “finished the work,” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

You are born again; you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in, and life begins!

What Is Meant By “Believe”?

To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”

The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!

May I Know That I Am Born Again?

This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved; you are “born again,”; you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!

One Final Word

You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:

Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, save my soul, and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me repent of my past sins. Help me turn from my old, evil life and follow You into a new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
