How Pastor Leslie Williams’ Public Facebook Bragging about His ‘Saved’ Wife Exposed His Bigamy

Daniel Whyte III, President of Gospel Light Society International, says, Beloved, once again we see a tragic spectacle—a man who stands behind the sacred desk, who claims to preach the unsearchable riches of Christ, now sitting in a jail cell, his collar exchanged for an orange jumpsuit. The world looks on and mocks, and sadly, they have every reason to. This pastor in The Villages thought he could hide his sin behind a smile and a Facebook post, but the long arm of God’s law—and the short arm of man’s law—caught up with him.

Let me speak plainly, with the prophetic voice the Lord has given me. The foolishness of false prophet pastors is that they believe they are the exception to God’s eternal laws. They think because they can preach a sermon, lay hands on the sick, or build a ministry, that the Lord will wink at their wickedness. But the Bible thunders a truth that will not be moved: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7).

This pastor sowed seeds of deception. He sowed a web of lies—marrying one woman while pretending to be free to marry another. And as the poet Sir Walter Scott wisely wrote, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” That web ensnares not only the deceiver but his real wife, and his fake wife, his congregation, and the name of Christ. He thought Facebook would be a tool for boasting; it became the snare that exposed him.

And now, he faces the justice of the state. But let me warn you that it is the least of his worries. The Bible says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” (Romans 12:19). There is a judgment far greater than a county sheriff’s office. There is a throne of grace that he has trampled underfoot.

Finally, remember the old axiom: Sin will take you further than you wanted to go; keep you longer than you wanted to stay; and make you pay more than you wanted to pay. This pastor did not plan to go to jail. He did not plan to be extradited. He did not plan for the headline. But sin is a cruel master. Flee from it, pastors. If you are living a lie, repent today, for the Bible says, “Be sure your sin will find you out,” and the Judge is standing at the door, and He is not mocked.

Florida Pastor Arrested for Bigamy After Facebook Post Reveals Second Marriage

LADY LAKE, FL – A 62-year-old pastor living in Florida’s large, notorious retirement community, The Villages, known for being an adulterous swingers haven with a viagra black market, has been arrested for the felony crime of bigamy. The arrest came after he publicly announced his marriage to a new woman on Facebook, even though he was still legally married to another person.

What is Bigamy?
Bigamy is the act of marrying one person while still legally married to another. It is a criminal offense in every U.S. state. In Georgia, where the warrant originated, it is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The law requires a person to legally end a prior marriage through divorce, annulment, or the death of a spouse before entering a new marriage.

How the Pastor Was Caught
Leslie Williams, who runs “Leslie Williams Ministries,” was taken into custody at his home in The Villages on Wednesday. According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were serving an “out-of-state warrant” from Rockdale County, Georgia.

The arrest was triggered by Williams’ own social media activity. In December, he posted a photo of a woman named Cindi, declaring her his “new wife” and changing his relationship status to “married.” He actively responded to comments, calling Cindi his “saved, beautiful and talented wife.”
