“I Surrender All”–Sex is Important in Christian Marriage–The 5-Point New Evangelical Devotional Order (Part 7) with Daniel Whyte III
Let the Babies Come
Glory be to God, everybody, in the highest. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus — family, friends, and foes. And yes, even foes in the family.
However, I do thank God for my quiver full of children. And I would encourage all of you young people to get married — to the opposite sex. Have all of the sex and fun you want to have, and let the babies come. Do not block the babies from coming. I know that sounds strange in America, the abortion factory of the world. Do not kill the children — pardon me, God forbid. Let the children come, and I assure you, God will bless you — particularly if you raise them right.
Will they be perfect? No. Tragically, they could be just as evil as you. You don’t want that. Always remember that you reap more than you sow. “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” When you plant one apple seed, you’re not going to get just one apple. You will get hundreds of apples a year — every year for the rest of your life.
But if you raise your children right, for the glory of God, based upon and rooted in the Word of God, you will be blessed. And you will also be blessed with precious memories as an extra blessing. I never thought about precious memories. I heard the song “Precious Memories,” but it didn’t mean anything to me until I raised my children and we served the Lord together. And every day, God floods my mind and my heart with precious memories. If God is involved in your life and in the raising of your children, buddy, you will enjoy some of the greatest videos from Heaven right in your own mind. What God does with precious memories, ladies and gentlemen, will blow your mind.
The Song the Churches Stopped Singing
Turn in your Bibles. But before I get into the Word of God, let me share some lyrics with you — an old familiar song that most of us have sung in the church for many years. I believe that many churches have stopped singing this song because they wanted to stop lying. It’s called “I Surrender All.”
I can’t sing it, but I can read it real good. And that’s where I live — I live with the words:
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
I surrender all, I surrender all,
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
Our title for this message today is: “I Surrender All” — Sex Is Important in Christian Marriage — The Five-Fold New Evangelical Devotional Order, Part 7, with yours truly, Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International and pastor of Gospel Light House of Prayer International.
When Inertia Sets In
Now, I want to preach in your hearing the New Evangelical Morning Devotional Order. Number one, from now on. You do as you please. And I hope that you’ve got some spontaneous sex going on. But the truth of the matter is, in most marriages, a lot of that spontaneity goes bye-bye. It’s all a part of our sinful nature. It’s all a part of the Fall. And lying about it is not going to help you.
Yes, after a while, by and by, even inertia — sex inertia — can grab hold of a couple. And when inertia comes along, it’s like prayer inertia. A lot of people like to get ready to pray, but they don’t pray. Many preachers will preach on prayer, but they don’t pray themselves. Don’t tell me they do, because they told me they don’t.
When you first get saved, you’re on that honeymoon with Jesus. Prayer is easy. Exciting. Reading the Bible is easy. Exciting. Same thing with sex. It’s exciting — all the time, anywhere, everywhere. Then after a while, by and by, inertia sets in. Those of you who don’t know what inertia is: it is that thing that you fight to do what you know you ought to do. Exercise inertia is another thing.
Many people in the world put exercise first. But the way the Lord has led me is to put sex first, then prayer and reading the Bible, and then get your exercise in, and then take a shower — in that order. Close to that order. When you throw the exercise in, which might not be but three days a week, then you have to turn it around a little bit.
The Five-Fold New Evangelical Devotional Order
But that devotional — that new devotional order — is this:
Number One: Sex
Number one, sex. Let’s do the boom-boom together, as you grow in your marriage and your family life. And one of the benefits is, you can have sex — crazy and wild sex — because the children are still asleep, if you have children, and you know they don’t want to wake up.
And you’re not going to be set right in your relationship if you’re not having sex on a regular basis. This idea of having sex once a month, once every two months, every other week, and all of that — I don’t know where you got that from, because you didn’t get it from the Bible. You think God gave you the blessing of marriage, and all you had to deal with in living with another sinful human being, to have sex once every month — every now and then on a special occasion?
And some of you men have bought into the sweet evangelical lie that the wife ought to lead in everything. And I’m here to tell you: if you let your wife lead in the sex area, buddy, you’re going to be sexless. And you’re going to be in a whole lot of trouble. And that’s why you’re always going to the porn factory, where God does not want you to go.
Number Two: A Shower — Exercise, and Take a Shower
Number two, take a shower — or exercise and take a shower. I couldn’t find a word, an “S” word, for exercise. But exercise, then take a shower.
Number Three: Supplication
Three, supplication. Prayer.
Number Four: Scripture
Four, Scripture. Read the Bible.
Number Five: Success
Five, success — success for the rest of the day with the help of God. And leaving the house satisfied, if you have to leave the house, and ready for success in overcoming temptation — particularly sexual temptation. Sex is good. Very good.
Victory over Pornography Comes Only from God
God does not want you to go to the porn factory, because He’s not going to be there with you. Jesus Christ does not want you to go to the porn factory, because Jesus is not going to be there with you. The Holy Spirit will check out on you. God will check out. They are not going to sit there while you watch pornography. No, sir. No, ma’am.
And so, in light of the gross pornography going on in the church today — in the pulpit and in the pastor’s family — let me tell you something: maybe you have gotten the victory over porn. And you will not get the victory over porn without God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Look at me real good. I don’t care what you can read, or whatever kind of temptation books. I’m leery of these people writing these little books about how to overcome watching pornography. I would not pay a cent for that. And I would doubt very seriously if they have the victory.
If you’re not telling people that God has to help you overcome that — that Jesus must help you, that the Holy Spirit must help you, that the Gospel must help you — no book is going to help you. And no accountability team is going to help you. And no software is going to help you, because people full of hell and the devil in the flesh can get around all of that. If you want to look at it, you will do so. Let’s be real about it. Only God. Only Jesus. Only the Holy Spirit.
When There Is a Hindrance
Somebody raised a question with me: “Having ED and a wife who doesn’t want to doesn’t help, so I pray.” Well, let me deal with that. If you’re keeping yourself healthy — drinking plenty of water, exercising, sleeping right — and you still have an ED problem, there’s a reason for that. Oftentimes it’s diabetes. I know of a preacher in Georgia — he’s in Heaven now — a transparent, honest pastor of one of the largest churches in Georgia, and he told me straight up: diabetes totally killed his sex drive. Just wiped him out.
Now, your libido has nothing to do with ED — that can be resolved. The libido itself is the most important part, and it comes from God. Something happens to human beings at a certain time, and it comes out of nowhere. You know it comes from God.
But the other side of that question: his wife basically was not even trying — no interest. And your wife not willing to do anything has nothing to do with you. It has everything to do with her, and she has to take that to God. And you need to encourage her to do that. Prayer is important — but you can do something about it as well. And you be the man. You go ahead on and get busy with it, and she’ll join you. Don’t worry about it — because she needs it too.
Why This Order? A Crisis in the Church
We are the worst church, I believe, in the history of the world. We are the Judas, Jezebel, Laodicean church. Jesus predicted everything exactly right. Because what people are doing today is shameful before God Almighty.
In light of the gross pornography and sex crisis among evangelical pastors, their wives, and the married couples in the pews, here is a new practical order for devotions — for sex-starved evangelical pastors and their wives, and married parishioners. And I have to mention “evangelical,” because thank God, the evangelical leaders are the ones who pushed having family devotions and individual devotions down through the years, way back. And they did a good job of it. They understand — as I understand — that the power is in the prayer closet. The power of your Christian life is in the prayer closet, my beloved. And reading the Bible on a daily basis. Not church on Sunday mornings. Church every day at the house — that’s what it’s about.
So: sex first in the morning. If you’re married — to the opposite sex. If you’re not married, no sex ought to be happening. That may be very plain and clear.
Repentance: God’s Way of Escape
Understand, my beloved, that once you get saved, you instinctively know that you ought to repent of your sins. You may falter. You may fail as you struggle. You might stumble. But it will not be, I assure you, a pattern of life if you are born-again saved. Because you cannot fake-live the Christian life. Why? God is all up in there. Jesus Christ is all up in there. The Holy Ghost of God is all up in here.
You watch pornography if you want to. But God is not going to be there. Jesus Christ is not going to sit down with you and watch pornography. God and Jesus Christ are not going to be all up in you while you’re committing fornication and adultery. They may be there if you’re truly saved — but you will not be a happy camper, with the Lord up in your heart, spirit, and soul. You’re going to be miserable while you’re doing it. Things happen in the body, in the soul, and in the spirit when we do evil and when we do wrong.
You’re not going to get away with stuff like that, man. Stop playing with God. You know what you’re doing is wrong. You feel guilty about it. You need to find a closet somewhere and confess your sins and repent and get right with God — and then the peace will come back. Thank God, God will give you the peace back.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a homosexual, a fornicator, an adulterer, or an adulteress: if you are not born-again saved and have not repented of your lifestyle, you’re going to hell. You’re not going to Heaven. I didn’t say that. It’s in the Bible. It’s in 1 Corinthians. “If you love Me, keep My commandments,” Jesus Christ said. That’s why I’m preaching what I’m preaching: because God made a way for us to escape. How many of you can say, “Yield not to temptation”?
Due Benevolence: The Teaching of 1 Corinthians 7
Turn your Bibles to 1 Corinthians 7, verse 1: “Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.”
It is good for a man not to touch a woman — especially if you’re going to touch her in fornication or in adultery, because you’re asking for trouble. Same goes for a woman touching a man. God does not want you to do that, because too many people get hurt. The children who come out of that get hurt, ladies and gentlemen. No matter how you may feel, it is better for you not to touch a woman, sir. Better for you, woman, not to touch a man.
But it is good for a man to touch a woman. That’s why God has me here today. It is good for a man to touch a woman — a lot — in marriage. That’s right, I said it. And I mean it.
Verse 2: “Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” It’s bad for you men to touch a woman — that means trying to touch her through the OnlyFans screen as well. Come on, people. Let’s grow up. Every woman, her own husband. That’s singular. Is it not?
Verse 3: “Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.”
Verse 4: “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.”
Now, this is important when you enter into the stage of sexual inertia — when you’ve been doing it for a long time, and all kinds of things run through your mind: When was the last time she took a shower? When was the last time he took a shower? And after this, we have to clean up, and I’ve got to pull the sheets off the bed and wash the sheets. Will the children hear us? All kinds of things are involved in the inertia of sex between couples that may be older and used to it. Similar to prayer: we know we ought to pray, but inertia sets in. Similar to exercise. Same with sex. We know we ought to have sex. It would help us a whole lot to avoid temptation — walking around here mad as the devil. And by the way, a good roll in the hay will fix that attitude real quick.
Let me tell you this — and I told my wife the other day, after we had sex, that I was going to tell you people this. As I’ve told you down through the years, Jamaican women are known all around the world as being proud. And Mrs. Whyte is that way. And all of her family is that way — her mother, aunts, siblings, everybody — proud and arrogant. But the Bible talks about how a man having sex with a woman humbles her. And this is real. What a man does to a woman in sex is a humbling thing that only a man can do to a woman. She may not want to admit it, but it is humbling to have to submit your body to a man. So a lot of sex helps your wife, sir, to stay humble and more submissive and a little bit sweeter. Even if she’s not saved, it takes the edge off a little bit. Her humility may not last as long as yours, but it’s a good little vacation from her pride, stubbornness, and foolishness. And all of you women know what I’m talking about.
Now let me tell you, husband, something. Your wife is not going to demand anything. I hope to God she doesn’t — if she does, I would tell you to run, don’t walk. It’s not in their nature to do that. But she has a way about her to let you know if she wants more. And I would venture to say, in light of the wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am sex going on today — which is worse now than ever — most women want more. I would venture to say that without any fear of successful contradiction. There’s a certain look on her face that will let you know. Gentlemen, we have too many men today who are too gentle. And believe it or not, your wife does not always want you to be so gentle. It irritates her. But anyway, that’s all free. And I move on.
So to deny your husband, ladies, is evil. To deny your wife is evil. I know some of you sweet wives are saying, “It’s just so nasty, it’s so unclean.” Fortunately, it has to happen. And I hope that you are always enjoying it, as you should. But the nasty part — you can go take a shower afterwards and get cleaned up, and go put your sheets in the washing machine, and just calm down. It’s going to be all right. Because that needs to happen so something worse will not happen with your husband — or with you. End up so weak that somebody brushes up against you in the church and there you go, thinking in the wrong way. The devil says in their minds, “If she would just give me a signal.” Or, “If he would just say the word, I’ll go.” Why? Because they’re not getting any sex. This is very serious stuff, people. I know I say things funny sometimes, but this is very serious stuff. There are men in jail. Why? Because they were not getting enough sex at home.
And right here in this verse: if your husband does not want you to get a BBL, if your husband does not want you to get breast implants — for what? He has the authority over your body. Just like if you don’t want him to get something fake, you have the authority over his body. Y’all ought to be talking. “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.”
Verse 5: “Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.”
Come together again — come together to do what? To do the boom-boom. Paul didn’t call it the boom-boom. I’m calling it the boom-boom. Let me just help you: sometimes you don’t want lovemaking. You want something else, and you know what it is. And if you’re going to be married for a long time, get out of your mind all of this lovemaking business — “I want everything to be so romantic. I want rose petals on the bed.” Please. No, no. We need to get busy, because we got jobs. We have children to take to school and to raise and homeschool. We can’t stay here all day. When you’re married, you’ve got other things you have to do. So you need to go ahead and get busy with it first thing in the morning. And that way you’re good to go for the rest of the day.
Then: get yourself cleaned up. Exercise. Get that blood flowing. Take your shower. Pray and read the Bible together. And you’re good to go spiritually and mentally. You’re living life real well if you’re doing that. You have it all, my friends, when you’re doing it like that. Somebody said the other day, you’re not rich unless you’re having sex. You can’t be considered rich unless you’re having sex inside of a marriage.
“We Are Out of Time”
But let me go back to that plane crash one more minute. You people just witnessed one of the most tragic plane crashes in history. Somebody on that plane was praying the Lord’s Prayer — which was the right thing to do. But somebody else was heard saying, “We are out of time.” And you need to think about that for your own life, my beloved.
Hopefully they had the sense to pray the salvation prayer, the sinner’s prayer, as well, because they were going down fast. And here’s what you need to pray: “Holy Father God, have mercy upon me, a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, forgive me of all of my sins. Now I believe in You, Lord Jesus Christ, as my Savior. Take me home to Heaven.” In Jesus Christ’s name. And you ought to be praying it faster than that — because they were running out of time. The man said, “We are out of time.” And by the way, one day you’re going to be out of time.
“That Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.” Who tempts us to have sex with other people? Satan.
I Surrender All — Even in the Bedroom
That’s why I quoted the song to you today: “I Surrender All.” I believe most churches stopped singing it because they knew they were lying. They have not surrendered anything. But God wants you to surrender all — yes, to God, to Jesus Christ, first of all, in a spiritual sense. But your marriage represents the marriage of Christ and the church. And God wants you to surrender all to your spouse when it comes down to sex — the boom-boom. How about that? Are you willing to surrender all to your spouse and give it up, like you’re supposed to?
Because if you’re not going to have sex thoroughly — one hundred percent — you’re not going to get the fulfillment out of it. Just go ahead on and have sex, and get it all out, so that you can be relaxed, have a better state of mind and a better attitude, and not be so touchy and so moody. The boom-boom will take care of that.
I remember, when my wife and I were getting ready to get married, her mother was here to help her, sizing the dress or whatever. Either my wife noticed, or my mother-in-law noticed, something on her back — something. And her mother wisely told her, “Oh, your husband will take care of that. Don’t worry about that.” And sure enough, it cleared right up.
Point Four: The Mutual Surrender
The mutual surrender. Point four: the mutual surrender. Give it up. I surrender all — even in the bedroom. Your body belongs to your beloved.
Verse 4 again: “The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.” And some women don’t like this — especially the women’s liberation movement people. The feminists don’t want to hear the first part. They’re okay with the second part: “The husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife” — they like that part.
The word “power” is exousia. It means: to have authority over — to exercise rights over. And that means you’re not letting anybody else have authority over your wife’s body, or over your husband’s body. And it’s okay, men and women, to be jealous. Yes, sir. Yes, ma’am. Look at me real good. It’s okay. It’s your job to protect your wife, sir. And it’s God’s job to protect your husband, ma’am. But you know when a woman is trying to move on your husband — there’s nothing wrong when you say, “Excuse me, I’m the little wife right here, so you come to me.” There’s nothing wrong with that. And no, sir, you are not to let your wife go up to the pastor’s office by herself. No, sir. That’s not happening.
Don’t ever give your telephone number, ladies, to the pastor of the church — or anybody on the deacon board or the trustee board. Because to them, that says, “Let’s play ball.” And he’s not going to call you. He’s going to text you. We foolishly think we can text anything and get away with it because we’re hiding behind that screen. But God sees them, and God sees you. That’s how so many men in the church get involved in sex — by texting. Thousands have fallen by the wayside by doing that. Don’t let another man rule over your wife like that. Because if he does, it’s over.
Paul says something stunning here about marriage: each spouse yields the authority over his or her own body to the other. You yield it. I surrender all. That’s why I shared that hymn with you all today. We used to sing that song at the end of nearly every service — and everybody, including the pastor and the pastor’s wife, was lying.
And again, mark it well: the surrender is perfectly mutual. The husband has no more unilateral claim over himself than the wife has over herself.
This is not a verse for demanding sex. It ought not to ever be that way. It’s not a demanding thing. And I really wouldn’t want it if I had to demand it like that. Because there’s something special about the wife being submissive and willing. “I surrender all.” See — that’s a turn-on, by the way, ladies, if you didn’t know that. The turn-on is not just your fine, beautiful body. The big turn-on is when you’re submissive and you’re willing, and things don’t have to be spelled out to you.
See, what happens as you grow in marriage, the sex thing is like this: God will sync you two, where the desire and the fire come about the same time. I know I’m right about it. Some of you don’t know anything about that because you interrupted it by whoremongering around, committing adultery, looking at pornography — and worst of all, divorcing. Those of you who’ve been married over thirty years, twenty-five years — you ain’t got to talk too much about it. We don’t have to explain anything. We know. You know. I know. Let’s go. That’s one of the benefits of marriage.
A Verse for Yielding, Not Demanding
Mark it well: the surrender is perfectly mutual — willing. This is not a verse for demanding. It is a verse for yielding.
And may God help you, sir, if you have a demanding wife. I feel sorry for you, son. I got ninety-nine problems, but thank God that’s not one. I want to have sex, but I’m going to be in charge, and I’m going to initiate. You’re not going to be hounding me and running me around the house demanding something. Not for me. It cuts both ways — and it cuts selfishness to pieces on both sides of the bed.
This is nothing less than the Gospel pattern pressed into marriage. Ephesians 5 tells husbands to love their wives, “even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” Marriage is two people practicing, in the most intimate arena of life, the Calvary principle: my body given for you.
And when the great Dr. Matthew Henry commented on the creation of Eve, he wrote those famous words: the woman was not made out of Adam’s head to rule over him — no, no. Nor out of his feet to be trampled upon by him — no, no. But out of his side, to be equal with him; under his arm, to be protected by him; and near his heart, to be beloved by him. That is the spirit of verse 4.
So, beloved: the spouse who perpetually withholds the body is exercising an authority that verse 4 says he or she surrendered at the altar — the marriage altar, the undefiled marriage bed. And the spouse who demands harshly is trampling.
Men, you need to initiate it. Don’t get caught up in her maybe moving a little slow, doing the psychological hard-to-get. Don’t worry about that — she’s moving as fast as she can, because she wants it too, and she needs it too. I have told you for years from this pulpit: son, God wants you to get it, and she needs to be got. Because if you people don’t take care of that basic thing of life called sex, everything else is going to come tumbling down. Why? Because your mind, boy, is going to be on sex. You’ve got to get it, and you need to complete it. And she’ll get all she wants if you give her all you got.
And Miss Proud, Stubborn, Rebellious Woman — hear me: he’s going to get it someplace else. Because it’s not just about the sex, ladies and gentlemen. It’s about the intimacy. It’s not just about the orgasm. It is the intimacy that brings about the health, and the fruits of health, and the sense of a good feeling. That’s what the doctors say keeps a person alive.
Due benevolence is rendered, never wrenched. The spouse who demands harshly is trampling an authority that was entrusted — not seized.
So here is the devotional application: before you pray, “Lord, I surrender all,” in your morning devotions, ask whether you have surrendered all to your spouse. What verse 4 says, you already vowed to surrender to the one sleeping beside you.
The Closing Prayer
Shall we pray?
Holy Father God, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Lord, I praise You and thank You for Your holy Word. Lord, I thank You for the blessing and the benefits of sex inside of marriage.
Lord, You know I do not preach this to offend people who are not married, or who have been divorced. Lord, this is designed for anybody who is married, who wants to be married, who will be married in the future — so that they can know what to do.
I thank You, Lord, for preparing me before marriage in so many ways — even learning from my dad and mom’s marriage, from the negative side, what to do before I got married. And so, even before I got married to my wife, I had informed her that we were going to do our marriage according to Ephesians chapter 5. She agreed. I told her: we’re not going to do marriage like her parents, and not like my parents. We’re going to do it the Bible way, or no way at all. And because of Your power and might, Lord, we’re still here — now almost forty years married, by Your grace.
So, Lord, I do pray for all of the people here. You know their situation very clearly. Lead, God, and direct them as to what You want them to do. Protect young ladies and young women, and all women who are not married, until You want them to be married. Protect young men and men from the wrong kind of woman as well. And protect them from touching a woman that they’re not married to. Those who are married, Lord — help them to take advantage of this great privilege and this great blessing of having sex every day if they wanted to. One of the greatest gifts that You have ever given to mankind. And I give You the glory, praise, and honor for it, and for Your holy Word that backs it up. Save that soul that’s nearest hell, reclaim the backslidden, and revive the saved. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, and for His sake. Amen.
Before You Run Out of Time
Now, dear friend of mine: if you have never truly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, in the free pardon of your sins — hear me. We all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The Bible makes that very clear. We have failed God, all of us. I know you like to think you’re better than others, but the truth is, you’re not. And I’m not.
Bad news number two is that we’re all going to die. The Bible says, “It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Remember that plane crash. Remember what one of the men said: “We are out of time.” They had it all — a beautiful family, a beautiful jet — and it’s all gone in a moment of time. And one day it will be true of you: you will be out of time. If you run out of time and die unsaved — having rejected Jesus Christ — it will be too late, and you will go straight to hell, and eventually to the lake of fire.
But God is giving you more time. That’s what this is all about. Jesus Christ preached more on the burning hell than anybody in the Bible. And then He said the most important words in the history of the world: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.
Follow me in the sinner’s prayer — this is the prayer they all should have been praying on that plane:
“Holy Father God, have mercy and grace upon my soul, for I am a sinner. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in You, Lord Jesus Christ — I believe that You suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins; was buried, and rose from the dead by Your own power. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in You. I trust in You. I have faith in You. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Help me to change. Help me to repent, and follow You in the newness of life. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray, and for His sake. Amen.”
For those of you who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and prayed that prayer with me: may God bless you real good. Congratulations. Next steps: get baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost — I don’t care if they baptize you in a bathtub. “See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?” Start praying — you can start that immediately. Read the Bible; start in the Gospel of John, then read the entire New Testament, and then the entire Old Testament. Obey the Bible — Jesus Christ said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” And witness to somebody else. Don’t worry about anything. Pray about everything.
God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you. And I love you in the Lord, because of God’s love shed abroad in my heart. Pray for me, as I pray for thee. Be a witness for the Lord.

His mottos are “Crying in the Wilderness,” “Exiled on the Isle of Patmos,” and “Preaching the Gospel by any means necessary,” all for the glory of God and Jesus Christ.
Daniel Whyte III is the president of the over-40-year-old Gospel Light Evangelistic Society International and the over-37-year-old Gospel Light House of Prayer International. He is known worldwide as the prophet who predicted the Coronavirus Plague more than 10 years before it hit, in recorded preaching and writing. God also led him to guide thousands through the Coronavirus Plague that killed over 20 million people because of the sins in the Judas-Jezebel-Laodicean church.
Daniel Whyte III’s greatest blessing in this life is his “quiver full” of 10 children—Daniella (Danni), Daniel IV, Danita Evangeline, Danae Mary-Louise, Daniqua Grace, Danyel Ezekiel, Danyelle Elizabeth Breedlove, Danielle Tekeela, Duran-Daniel, and the first Daniel IV (deceased and in heaven with the Lord)—along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daniel Whyte III has been unblissfully but sexually satisfyingly married to his first and only wife, Meriqua Whyte of Christiana, Jamaica, for over 37 years since December 19, 1987. Jesus Christ said: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Even though many evangelicals, charismatics, and Protestants try to act as if these words of Jesus Christ are not a reality in our modern Christianity—primarily because of the Satanic-driven prosperity gospel and an over-positive philosophy, which is a lie not based in reality or biblical truth—the words of Jesus Christ are true for every person who preaches the Gospel. The outcomes of the Gospel are a changed life and opposition from family, lukewarm Christians, Laodicean-Judas pastors and churches, the world, and the devil. This is a reality in our present evil world.
While Daniel Whyte III thoroughly enjoys his married life because he did not allow his wife to have her way at any point and was and is solidly, and biblically the head of his household throughout the marriage—often quoting Joshua, “As for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord” “up in here!”—and because his wife never failed in the very important area of sex, which he got married for in the first place to avoid sinning against God, he has especially enjoyed the privilege and joy of raising his children in the Lord virtually by himself. He served the Lord with them every day of their lives, from the time they were born until they graduated from college, became adults, and moved on.
However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Remember, we are in this worldwide, multi-generational mess because Adam hearkened to the voice of his wife and not to the voice of God.
Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.
Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.
Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person, even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you,” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.
However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. His ministry reaches over 148,800 people per month with over 21,000 unique views per month, reaching 149 countries, preaching the Gospel and the Word of God in 2 to 3 services a day, 7 days a week. Glory be to God!
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage.
Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:
Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.
God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)
God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:
My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him.
Other Christian women speakers
Other preachers
Books and other materials, but I would not take heed.
I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.
Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing it as I go through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.
Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what You want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born, and repeatedly while the children were young, that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them, and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break down the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.
Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:
“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”
I realize now that all the trials and tragedies I have gone through—divorce, the loss of my mother, who was my best friend and prayer warrior, my children being diagnosed with terminal illnesses, and becoming a widow—are all reasons for the trials God allowed. God is the Potter, and I am the clay. God knows what He is doing. That is the way He has chosen to break me. I am saying to my husband, children, family, and anyone who knows me: I realize now that I was a terrible wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman. I was not what a wife, mother, or Christian woman should have been, and as a result, I have brought the diminishing of peace and joy in my life on myself through disobedience to God and my husband.
My husband often told me that I was the problem, and I was too proud and stubborn to see it. He also told me that the way I was being a wife and mother was not normal or healthy and was an embarrassment to him as my husband and to my children, who needed a healthy, godly mother, and not a woman who was constantly complaining, murmuring, being bitter, and having a bad attitude and spirit. I will not deny any of it anymore. I am truly sorry and apologize to my husband and children.
I want to encourage wives to obey God in all things, even if you are married to an unsaved husband or a husband who is unsaved and unkind. God will honor your obedience and faithfulness. I also want to encourage you to study the Word of God and to develop your relationship with God by spending more time with God. I want to encourage you to spend more time with your children. Please do not waste any time. Love your children, love your husband, and develop a strong, close relationship with your children by spending time with them. Get rid of the pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and ungodly attitude and spirit. Be positive. Be submissive. Be obedient. That is the way God wants us to be, and our children need us to be like that.
As I write this today, I am at peace and filled with joy, and I have the confidence to write this because it is all true and not a lie. I am asking you to forgive me.”
Even after her apology, Meriqua Whyte returned to her old evil, proud, and rebellious ways, not learning the lessons and not bearing the fruit of a saved, born-again Christian. She is a perfect example of a Laodicean wife and mother with a fake Christian life. But God’s man, Daniel Whyte III, did not let her hinder him, because even after 37 years of marriage, he is still, by the grace of God, at this very moment, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God live every day from his home in Fort Worth, Texas, by any means necessary — on Zoom, YouTube, Facebook, X, Rumble, Instagram, and many other social media platforms, all for the glory of God.
As Meriqua Whyte told him in a rare private moment of truth a few years ago, “Your ministry has produced the most famous preacher in the world, and you are that man.”
He is still, by the grace of God, holding it down in the pulpit and on the airwaves, for the glory of God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost.
Ephesians Chapter 5:22–6:4
“22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
Ephesians Chapter 6:1–4
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
Ephesians Chapter 6:10–20
“10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Gospel in a Nutshell
If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?
This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
“Have You Been Born Again?”
The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).
A New Nature Needed
By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become partakers of His divine nature (II Peter 1:4). Just as a child has no choice about his birth into the human family, so the child of God has no choice about his birth into God’s family except to yield to God’s way, for “as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12). To become a child in the earthly sense, one is born. To become a child of God, one is born again. “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).
How are we born again? By receiving Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord. By repenting of our sins and trusting Him wholly. God wants us to come to Him just as we are, to receive His Son as Savior. God will then give us a new nature, a new heart, a new life, a new standing before Him, and a new destiny: Heaven. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (II Corinthians 5:17).
How Can I Be Born Again?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
You are born again; you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in, and life begins!
What Is Meant By “Believe”?
To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”
The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!
May I Know That I Am Born Again?
This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved; you are “born again,” you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!
One Final Word
You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:
Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, save my soul, and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me repent of my past sins. Help me turn from my old, evil life and follow You into a new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
