Once You Have Peace That Passeth all Understanding, Here is the Gateway to Maintaining It, Daniel Whyte III
Daniel Whyte III preached this sermon during the Happy Thanksgiving Thursday service of Gospel Light House of Prayer International, preached early Friday morning, October 23, 2026. It is Part 22 of “How to Get Peace and Keep Peace Through Prayer” — the fourth of the 12 Ps of Prayer: Peace — from Philippians chapter 4. Once you have the peace of God which passeth all understanding, here is the gateway to maintaining it: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” The sermon, edited for reading, follows below.
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, family, friends, and foes, and yes, even foes in the family. Brother Stevens, I’m glad to have you. Brother Mike, Brother Joel. 112. Water. Yes, of course. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters. In Christ Jesus. I said it all day yesterday. I’ll say it again. Happy Thanksgiving Thursday.
We had a big birthday celebration on yesterday and Also did some important work on that towards that going forward. Yes, even the Remembrance. Even remembering somebody takes a lot of work. And that’s alright. We give God the glory, praise and honor for life. And we thank God for the mind to remember them. In death and eternal life.
It’s hard for some people to do that. By the grace of God, it’s not hard for me. Because I believe what the Bible says, that if a person is born again saved, you do not need to, as Christians, weep over them. Because they’re in a better situation than you’re in. They’re in a better place. Okay?
And quite frankly, what I’m on a mission to do is to help people become comfortable with death. Because death is going to be very comfortable with you. Okay? I want you, I’m trying to help people to understand that you need to expect death because death is coming and he’s not coming for a visit.
Death is on the way for your loved ones and for you. Just read the newspapers, my friends. Okay? People are dying today in ways that I have never seen before. Some people are dying because of foolishness. Some people are dying because of Negligence, parents not doing their jobs, parents distracted, parents who
are trying to be young again and trying to get their groove on, leaving their children at the house. Don’t bow your head yet, it’s not time to pray while they go to the clubs. And other such fruitlessness. Now be that as it may my beloved, welcome to the I mean, welcome to the Happy Thanksgiving Thursday service.
We have it every Thursday. Sometimes when we have other things to do, Sister Bliss, we I have it on Friday. But in the words of my daughter, Daniella “Danni” Whyte, the Thanksgiving birthday girl, she was born on Thanksgiving many years ago now. She said, we ought to thank God 365 Days, a year. And she meant that thing.
Because she wrote it when she had a pure heart when she was 16 years old. 365 Days of Thanking God, cultivating a heart of thanksgiving. She did this on her own. She did not inform me that she was doing this book. You say, well, didn’t you help her write it? No, I didn’t.
She dedicated the book to God, of course, first, and to her papa, saying in the book that God blessed me to teach her. To be more thankful. And so I give God the glory, the praise, and the honor for that. My daughter, Daniella “Danni” Whyte, says in her book, 365 Days of Thanking God,
What if you gave someone a gift and they did not thank you for it? Would you be likely to give them another gift? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life, that God has to offer you, you must truly appreciate what you already have.
Ralph Martin is the person who wrote that. She included that in her book. And she also included in the book this statement. The optimist says the cup is half full. The pessimist says the cup is half empty. The child of God, born again, saved child of God says my cup runneth over. And she’s right about that.
And her book is right about us giving God thanks. Every day. And so, ladies and gentlemen, turn in your Bibles to Philippians chapter 4. As we wrap up, The idea that once you get peace that passeth all understanding. And I always say joy unspeakable. Do what we have already taught in and through this passage.
And by way of a brief review. Before this is winding down to the last sermon in this series, within a series. And for those of you who are new, the title of this message is How to Get Peace and Keep Peace Through Prayer. Peace of Mind. Peace of heart. Peace of spirit and soul. One
famous person always says he closes out his podcast with keep your peace. In other words, do not get all caught up. And other people’s mess. And other people’s failures and sins. Be they in the family or in the church or in the world. No matter how much you love them. Protect your peace.
He always closes his podcast that way. And he has his reasons for that. And Bob and Rian and others. You need to do that. You need to fight for your peace of mind. I have told you how to get it, Danny. And now today I’m going to get close to wrapping up this message within a message.
By telling you and finishing off how to keep your peace that passeth all understanding. This is part 22. Why I thank God. How to get peace and keep peace through prayer. Part 22 today. Why I thank God for the 12 Ps of prayer. We’re just on P number four, which we are talking about peace,
how prayer to God will bring peace that passes all understanding and joy unspeakable. 12 P’s of prayer, number 135, 136, I’m sorry. Gospel Light House of Prayer International. Happy. Thanksgiving Thursday service. Yesterday, Sister Bliss, as you know, we were celebrating Martyr Missionary Daniqua Grace’s birthday and her favorite birthday food was tater tots with chili and cheese.
And our 40-day fast And I’m here to tell you people, whatever you’re going to do in this life, you better go ahead on and do it because this is the first time that I was fasting for 40 days and 40 nights and didn’t even know that the fast ended. I asked my wife, I said,
Has 40 days already gone by? I was still fasting three or four days later. She had to inform me that the fast is over. So whatever you’re going to do in your life, if you can’t keep up with a 40-day fast and you forget that the fast is over, buddy, time is flying.
So whatever you’re going to do in your life, Set your goals and go ahead on and do it now because time is getting up. All right. And so that’s why we are preaching the Thanksgiving Thursday message early this morning. With yours truly, Daniel Whyte III. And we thank God for Sister Bliss being here with us.
And others, Chase, Mika, Yavis, Sophie on BigoLive, Evan, Elliot, Debbie on TikTok. Sister Bliss is with us as well on another platform. And I’m not going to tell you where she is so that you won’t go try looking for her. Chase, God bless you all for being here.
Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved, and long for my joy and crown. So stand fast in the Lord. My dearly beloved, stand fast. That’s what God wants you to do. That’s what Jesus wants you to do. DMKV, Sister Bliss, Mrs. Whyte, everybody. If you’re born again and saved, God wants you to stand fast.
Be unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. And Sister Bliss, I believe that’s 1 Corinthians 15, 58, one of the first verses I had on the index cards that I hid in my heart some 46 years ago. One of my favorite verses, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord.
Once you finish one mission for God, start another one that he puts on your heart to do. I beseech Euodias and beseech Syntyche that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And we need that today in the church. People to be of the same mind in the Lord on one accord.
And if everybody stuck with the Bible, we would be. But we do have a sinful nature, all of us do, where we want to try and do things differently than when God said do it. And it ends up in a mess. And I entreat thee also, true yoke fellow, my brothers in Christ,
help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other people My fellow laborers whose names are in the book of life. If your name is in the book of life, that means you have been born again saved by Jesus. By the grace of God and by the mercy and love of God,
you have believed in the son of God who suffered, bled and died on the cross for your sins, was buried and rose from the dead. And you need, if you have not done that, you need to do that today. Eddie, Bay, Susie, Sophie, Vanessa, Ace. Thank you, Ace Rogers, for liking the live.
Barhek, thank you all for giving so many likes and hearts to God and Jesus Christ. Katerina is back with us. On TikTok, Joyce, God bless you all. Have a wonderful day in Jesus. And here’s how you can if you have never done this.
The Holy Bible says, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Jesus Christ said it first and best. The most important words in the history of the world, the most loving words in the history of the world, the most powerful words, In the history of the world, why not? He’s the son of God.
He said, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish. That is, perish in hell, but have everlasting life. Okay? Understand the bad news. That’s the good news. Understand the bad news, why you need to take part in the good news, no matter who you are.
Stop being proud and stubborn and rebellious and mean and hateful. How many of you know people like that? Proud, stubborn, rebellious, mean, hateful. See, when a person, you try to help somebody, you try to tell them something and they always They rebelled against it and they are always mad as the devil and mean as the devil.
It’s because they have a devil. Don’t be shocked by it. You can’t help people who are demon possessed. And they get all riled up just like the demons in the New Testament. They get all riled up and want to fight you and want to curse you and
You want to act like you’re hurting them when you’re trying to help them by pulling them out of the fire, fires of hell. Okay, so understand, my dear friends. Thank you so much, Ace, and God bless you, Ace Rogers, for what you did this morning.
In fact, you’re the first person to do what you did this morning in this church. By giving over a thousand likes, first one, on TikTok. We’ve had some to do that on BigoLive and other places, but never on TikTok. So thank you for breaking that record by a large margin.
And we give God the glory, the praise, and the honor So if your name is not in the book of life, if you are not born again saved, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Understanding that everybody in the world is a sinner, including you.
We all have violated God’s Ten Commandments and more. The Bible says all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And only God can say that because God knows everybody. The Gallup poll couldn’t do that. And then understand bad news number two, that you’re going to die one day.
And the reason why you’re going to die is because of your violations against God’s law, disobeying God’s commandments. The truth of the matter is, We are all on death row, no matter how pretty you may be, no matter how much money you may have, no matter how much talent you have or how much charisma you have.
Everybody, red, yellow, black and white. Yes, we are precious in God’s sight. That is obvious because he sent his holy son, Jesus Christ. As the Lamb of God, the sacrificial Lamb of God to take away the sins of the world. All sins, lying and stealing and lusting and boredom and whoremongering and everything else. Dishonoring parents
and murder and adultery and fornication and homosexuality, all violations of God’s law. So that’s why the Bible says the wages of sin is death. Okay? The payment is death. It is a punishment. Death is not a part of life like some philosophers lie and say. Death is the end of life on this earth. And that’s a tragedy.
Stop trying to pretty it up. Dying from this beautiful ball called earth? My dear friends is a big tragedy because we don’t even deserve being here on this earth as wicked and as sinful as we are. And I am not mad at God for putting me on this beautiful ball hanging on nothing called earth.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my earth experience. Because of God’s mercy and grace. Because of Jesus Christ. And death is the end of all of that. For everybody. By the way, 150,000 to 200,000 people die off this ball called earth. Hanging on nothing. But the power of the word of God. Every day. Okay, you could be next.
So go ahead on and get saved so that you can go into the afterlife in the heaven to be with God, to meet God, to meet Jesus Christ. In fact, I had the idea the other day that some things, a to-do list on what you ought to do when you go to heaven. Find Jesus, number one.
Find God. Find Jesus. Bow down and say thank you. You made it. Glory be to God. That’s what I’m going to do. Okay? If they were a preacher, aren’t you going to shake the hand of Jesus? No, I’m not going to. Unless he invites me to do so and get a hug. I’m not doing that.
I’m unworthy to do that. Are you kidding me? I’m going to bow down for the first thousand years and worship him and thank him for what he did for me, Kevin, Anais, Jakku, Black Diamond, PJ and Jam are right now. Don’t get anything started with that peanut butter and jelly. Mohammed, glad to have you.
Ace Rogers is still hanging in there with us. Ladies and gentlemen, Adam and Adam King, Sister Bliss, we thank God for you being here. Now everybody believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. First thing this morning, get yourself free by believing in Jesus Christ. Believe that he suffered, he bled, and he died on the cross for your sins.
If you reject him, if you neglect him, if you do not believe in him, you will die and go to that awful place called the burning hell, yea, the lake of fire. Well, the Bible says in the book of Revelation, all liars shall have their part in the lake of fire. And God does not play.
So believe right now in the Son of God, Jesus Christ. You don’t have to be in a church to get saved. I was not in the church when I got saved. I got saved in spite of the church. The churches that I grew up in, they don’t like for me to say that, but that’s true.
I got saved in my dorm room while in the Air Force. You can get saved in your bedroom as well. Follow me in the sinner’s prayer and mean it from your heart. Don’t pray it if you don’t mean it. Holy Father God, have mercy and grace upon my soul. And my spirit,
please forgive me of all of my sins, my faults and my failures that I have committed against you. Wash my sins away in the precious blood of Christ and make me Lord to be whiter than snow on the inside. As I now believe in your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered,
bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried and rose from the dead. Lord Jesus Christ, fill me with your Holy Spirit. And help me to repent of my sins. And help me to change. And to follow you in the newness of life. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray and forsake. Amen. Now, dear friends.
Those of you who have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ early on this Friday morning, here are your next steps. Number one, get baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. That is by order of Jesus Christ himself. Number two, start praying and asking God every day,
three times a day, morning, afternoon, and night. To help you live this life called the Christian life. And learn the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew chapter 6. Make that the foundation of your prayer life. But Jesus Christ said, ask and it shall be given you. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
Number three, start reading your Bible along with praying every day. No matter how you feel about it, these two things alone will strengthen your faith and keep you strong in the Lord. Start reading the Bible in the Gospel of John and then chapter by chapter at your pace.
Read the entire New Testament, one of the greatest things you can do in life. And then read the entire Old Testament. If you’re saved and born again, may God bless you, Mary, for saying Amen. If you’re saved and born again, you will find that reading the Bible is one of the greatest things you can do in life.
And then number four, obey the Bible because Jesus Christ said, If you love me, keep my commandments. Okay? That’s what it’s about, ladies and gentlemen. If you love Jesus Christ, keep his commandments. That includes all of the commandments of the Bible, Old Testament and New Testament,
because Jesus Christ is the Son of God, which means he is God. And then number five, be a witness for the Lord. I strongly urge you not to just take this salvation and make it your own. Freely you have received, freely give. And you can pass out tracts online to your family members and to your friends.
You can send them by mail, which I recommend. I think that’s more of a personal touch. You’ll send them an email with the tract in it. I would do both. Especially if they don’t live in the same town with you because you’re obligated to do what I just did for your family members and for your neighbors.
If you don’t do it, you are being in disobedience and people are going to die and go to hell because you did not tell them about Jesus Christ. And the blood will be required at your hands. You say, Preacher, that’s too deep for first thing on Friday morning, I know.
But I want to tell you the truth because God does not play. Daniel, Maglitch, God bless you. Sourdough, so glad to have you. Ace Rogers is still hanging in there with us. 583 is with us as well. And we thank God for everybody being here. Edgar Nario, Harry Haynes, Tamara, 987, Ms. Jones, and everybody. And
so ladies and gentlemen, follow these things that I’ve shared with you. This is Jesus, God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are going to teach you millions of things over the years. These five things that I just shared with you, they get you, they’re like a ramp onto the highway of the Christian life, okay?
Just get on that highway and God will sweep you up and teach you things and show you things and chastise you and rebuke you and everything else. God will help you be what you should be in the name of Jesus Christ. Okay, so ladies and gentlemen, with that said, we’re still reading Philippians 4.
And as it continues, verse 4, rejoice in the Lord. That’s a commandment, by the way, Christians, all of you new Christians. Rejoice in the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord that you’re now saved, that you heard the gospel early one Friday morning and you prayed the prayer and
a burden was lifted off of your heart, your mind, your soul and spirit. You feel a change coming on. 114, God bless you for being here with us again. And may God bless you and your family. And Holy Father God,
I do pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for all of the people who are here on multiple platforms. I pray for salvation and spiritual, family and life, financial and material, protection and provision, mental and physical blessings upon each and every one. Lord, you know them by name. And I commit them into your hands.
I pray the same for all of my children, my quiver full. Lord, I thank you for each and every one. I praise you and thank you for my daughter Daniella “Danni” writing the book, 365 days of thanking God, cultivating a heart of thanksgiving when she was 16 years old.
Which is a long time ago living in my house when she wrote that book and revealed it on that following Thanksgiving. And what a joy it is and what a privilege it is for her papa to know that according to her I inspired her to do that. And what a privilege it is for her and for me.
To be able to read my own daughter’s book that she wrote when she was 16 to thousands of other people to encourage them to thank you, God, every day. What a privilege. What a blessing. What a way to move towards my death in this life.
I give you all of the glory and praise and honor because Lord you know you did it for me on December the 19th, 1979. And so for Jesus Christ’s sake, have mercy and grace upon each and every one of us who named the name
of Jesus Christ among all of my children who I had the privilege of leading to you. Forgive us Lord of our sins, our faults and our failures. Wash our sins away in the blood of Christ and make us to be whiter than snow. Crucify, Lord,
our flesh and the old man within us all and fill us all afresh and anew with the fullness and the power, the unction and the anointing, the fruit and the liberty of your Holy Spirit to do your work and to do your will throughout this day. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray and for his sake. Amen.
Verse 4, Rejoice in the Lord always, always, that is a commandment from God. Be thankful, be grateful, praise God for all that he’s already done, what he’s doing and what he will do. And again I say rejoice, that’s a double commandment. That is not a suggestion. People, sad Christians, defeated Christians, mean and hateful Christians,
Depressed Christians defeated and disgusted which sweet evangelicalism has made you to be. The evangelical movement has made Christians to be all about their felt needs and feeling like victims and acting like victims whether they feel like victims or not when they are not victims. It’s all about them Okay, I got a word for you from the Lord.
Rejoice in the Lord always. And again, I say rejoice. You need to rejoice and thank God you’re not in hell. You need to rejoice and thank God that you’re not dead yet. You need to rejoice and thank God that you do not have a deadly disease. And even if you do, you are to rejoice and thank God.
Deacon Karamba, all the way from Great Britain, so good to see you. Jonas, God bless you. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. We dealt with that issue, moderation, at great length. Deacon Karamba was here. Okay. Moderation means avoiding extremes and being out of balance,
keeping a balanced, calm approach as a born-again Christian. Christians ought to be cool, calm, and collected because they have peace, their peace that passeth all understanding and joy unspeakable. They ought to be regular. They ought to be ready, Betty, and ready, Freddy. They ought to be cool, calm, and collected.
They ought to be pretty much the same like Jesus every day. These flighty, moody, up and down change like the weather so-called Christians are not the kind of people you want to be around or married to. The verse, let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand, comes from Philippians 4, 5.
It means believers should show balance, coolness, calmness. They ought to be collected. They ought to be about the same every day. Patient. And a reasonable, even patient as AI is patient with human beings. And a reasonable spirit. You ought to be reasonable. Amen, somebody. Mike Webdell, you ought to be reasonable and not always jumping the gun.
Thank you, Deacon Karamba, for your gifts to God and Jesus Christ. We’re good to see you, Danny. Olive, God bless you. You ought to be Steady Freddy and Reddy Betty and Steady Betty, okay? Not always like this. Meaning of the word moderation, balance, staying away from wild extremes in behavior, over here one day, over here the next,
in speech or feelings or emotions, self-control, managing your temper and desires, not being what I call flighty, just up and down and there’s just no steadiness about you. And having a heart to treat all people with respect and with Godly love, the God kind of love, the stable love, the unconditional love,
instead of meanness and hatefulness and harshness and talking about you got up on the wrong side of the bed. Honey, it doesn’t matter what side of the bed you get up on. You’re full of hell and the devil. Meaning of the verse, show yourself to be cool, calm, and collected. The original Greek word,
epieikes, means being cool, calm, and collected. Sober-minded, vigilant, watchful. Being fair, being reasonable rather than being out of control. Being considerate. Do you know there are some Christians who are not considerate of others because they’re full of hell and the devil. They’re mean. They’re hateful. They’re not kind at all. They’re out of balance.
And a chill pill won’t help them. Because, see, that’s what many evangelicals are doing today. Going to the doctor and getting pills to calm them down before they kill somebody up in here. Okay? Christians are not to need those kinds of pills. That’s right. I said it to my sweet evangelicals who everything goes now.
Everything goes to prop themselves up, which is sad. Okay? Sad. Be known to all. This attitude should be clear to everyone. You meet the spirit of coolness, calmness, steadiness. Are you steady Betty? Are you steady Freddie in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ? Can people depend upon you like Sister Bliss is steady? She’s solid.
You can depend upon her. Deacon Karamba is steady. He’s solid. You can depend upon him all the way from Great Britain. Deacon Moab is steady. He’s cool, calm, and collected. And every time he comes, he’s the same, no matter what kind of hell he’s going through. Jesus will do that for you.
For Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is faithful, the Bible says. Okay? This spirit, this attitude is the same. These people who Act like they have forgotten how to be cool, calm, and collected every day. They’re all over the place. Full of hell and the devil making up stuff. Corrupt. Inspired by the devil.
Inspired by other people even in the family and in the church. People who have a Judas spirit. The Lord is at hand because Jesus is near or coming soon. People should live with peace, patience, and a calm mind rather than always wanting to fight. And we have more Negroes, be they white or black or red or yellow,
who want to fight today. Husbands and wives who always want to fight. Old people. And when you don’t have Jesus in your heart, mind, soul, and spirit as you grow older in life, and you don’t have this spirit of moderation, of cool, calm, and collected, there’s still many Negroes, be they black or white or red or yellow.
Who want to fight even in their 60s and in their 70s and 80s. Mean as a junkyard dog. If you don’t believe me, all you got to do is ask them questions. You already know what the answer is going to be. It’s going to be hell.
How many of you got people in your family that you know you can push a button based upon a question and they will go boom on you. And I challenge some of you husbands to go ahead and push those buttons because all that garbage should not be in them in the first place.
And a calm mind, rather than fighting or panicking, verse 6, be careful for nothing. Don’t worry about a thing. That’s another commandment, by the way. Live by the Word. Don’t live by your feelings and your emotions. The Word says, okay, I know you want to worry about things. Your default action is to worry about things.
It doesn’t do anything but make you feel like you’re in control and you’re not in control because you’re worrying about it. So this is another commandment that you need to obey. Be careful for nothing. This is by way of review, people. I’m just reviewing this for you people who have not heard the message in the series.
Be careful for nothing. That means don’t worry about a thing. I believe the Jamaican man who sung that song, Don’t Worry, Be Happy, was right. He had something. Okay? That’s what God wants you to do. Don’t worry. Be happy. Be careful for nothing. Don’t worry about a thing. Give it to God. Don’t give it to AI.
Give it to God. Don’t give it to your mama. She’s already raised you. She does not really want to hear all of that. Give it to God. Don’t give it to your daddy. You’re grown now. Give it to God. They’ve already done what they could do. Be careful for nothing. But in everything, by prayer and supplication,
Sister Bliss, with thanksgiving, Daniella “Danni”, let your requests be made known unto God. Somebody ought to shout amen right there because I know I’m preaching real good right now because I know I’m preaching the word and the peace of God. Somebody say the peace of God and the peace of God which passeth all understanding. Lord have mercy.
Shall keep. Watch this. I love this phrase. SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS. YOU WANT YOUR MIND KEPT? YOU WANT YOUR HEART KEPT? THERE YOU GO. FINALLY, BRETHREN, WELL, HERE WE GO. THIS IS WHERE I’M SUPPOSED TO WRAP IT UP.
I MAY NOT FINISH IT TODAY, BUT I WILL FINISH IT BY THE GRACE OF GOD. NOW HERE’S HOW YOU MAINTAIN YOUR PEACE. By taking heed to the word of God. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true. Talk to me. It must be true. There’s a terminology in higher education called the really real. Whatsoever things are honest.
Is it true? Is it honest? By the way, you can tell when people are lying. You don’t have to be an FBI agent to tell when people are lying, particularly if you’re saved. If you’re saved and born again, you can look them in the eye. You can tell. They’re about to tell you a lie.
You can tell they’re lying. In your spirit, you know somebody’s lying. Okay? And if you detect that the person is lying, don’t get around that person anymore. You can forgive them and all of that, but don’t stay around a liar. Because a liar will end up destroying any kind of relationship they have. Whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, holy, righteous, good, godly, Whatsoever things are pure, these are the things you ought to be thinking about. And I dealt with this last night, Wednesday night, people. Some of you people watch too much television. You watch too many movies. All of that stuff is driven by Satan, the devil.
And all it is going to do, some of you who are caught up in binge watching Netflix and all of that, All that stuff is going to do is trigger bad thoughts, bad feelings on how that man treated you, your third boyfriend or your fourth boyfriend or your fifth boyfriend.
It’s going to trigger all of those emotions and all of those feelings in your life. Has nothing to do with the movie, and you’re going to be sitting there crying, not crying for the lady, woman who’s being done wrong on the screen, but you’re going to be crying for yourself. Why?
Because all of the things they put in these movies, they’re designed to trigger things in you. To attach you to the movie. Okay? And you feel negative feelings. Negative emotions. You can get depressed and get upset from watching a show or watching a movie. And so that’s why for the most part,
our family did not, we didn’t have a television for years. I didn’t raise my children on television. We would have to rent a television for Thanksgiving. And that was probably because the Dallas Cowboys were going to be playing on Thanksgiving, but it was good to have it in the house for Thanksgiving.
That’s what we did for many years. No television all year long, but Thanksgiving week we would go out and rent a television. Okay. I do not recommend you raise your family on television. You will have a better relationship with your children minus the television. Okay. Deacon Moab here. God bless you, sir.
Just got through praying for you and thinking about you and saying some kind words about you being Mr. Faithful and consistent. Ready Freddy, Steady Freddy. And we thank God for you. Edith, God bless you for being here. Colleen, God bless you for being here. El Hamraki, so glad that you’re here. And everybody, Ben Shaw as well.
And we’re coming to a close by the grace of God. I’ve already preached the gospel and led people to Jesus. If you don’t know Jesus Christ, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, believe on Him, and thou shalt be saved. And if God can save me, a whoremonger from my heart, God can save you.
You say, well, why do you put yourself down like that and say things like that? That is to connect with your wicked self, okay? To let you know and to understand and feel comfortable Knowing that the preacher is a wicked sinner too. And if God, that’s the whole point of my saying,
if God can save me, I guarantee you he can save you. Okay, Emily, so glad to have you. Thank you for all of your gifts to God and Jesus Christ. That’s to connect with you. You say, preacher, why do you say those negative things about your wife publicly? That is to connect with you. We’re fine, okay?
It’s a very healthy thing when you can talk negatively about yourself and mean it and you’re not trying to be a fake and a phony and your marriage and so forth is designed to help you to focus on yourself, not Mrs. Whyte.
And I know it works because it worked on me when I was a young preacher and a young Christian and this preacher would come through By the name of Dr. Hancock. And he would share the negative issues regarding his son. Being a prodigal son. And he and his wife having problems. And she was persecuting him.
And all of that. But he would have hours. Oh, Lord. Mm-mm. He would come by BUA, Baptist University of America, to our chapel. And believe you me, Sister Bliss, he would have our attention. That’s right. Thank you, Deacon Moab, for the gifts you give to God always, Mr. Faithful. Oh, yeah?
He had our attention and he was the only preacher who would have our attention at the university chapel. Yes, I went to the Baptist University of America in Atlanta, Georgia. And when he preached, he would use personal family church illustrations. He didn’t buy his illustrations from the sword of the Lord. Okay?
He didn’t get them from a book. No. And it touched our hearts. And he showed me more than anybody else, Sister Bliss, Deacon Moab, That transparency and honesty is the most powerful thing you can do in the pulpit. It will transform people’s lives. And by the way, you’ll never forget what that person said.
That’s why I do it. I don’t hate my wife and I don’t hate myself. I’m just saying we’re sinners just like you. And if God can save me, he can save you. Okay, and if God can keep our marriage together, this is for real. He can keep your marriage together. I don’t want to hear it.
Okay, my greatest enemy in this world is Mrs. Meriqua Whyte. She’s my greatest Judas. I know that hurts your heart. You know why it hurts your heart? Because you’re proud and you’re arrogant and you think that the preacher and his wife and everything about them ought to be perfect.
But I hope you’ve been reading the papers and following things online. All of the major popular preachers who were just big time popular just a couple of years ago are all out of the ministries. I don’t know what you’re talking about. And I helped put some of them out of the ministry. Okay? So you need to
get that out of your mind that preachers are perfect and their wives and families are perfect and they should be perfect and all of that. That’s not it, my dear friends. Okay? That’s not the case. At all. In fact, some of the worst husbands, some of the worst wives, some of the worst families… Are in the pulpit.
Are in leadership at church. And thank God he is removing them. Glory be to God. Okay? It’s got to be real. Didn’t the emotions, my girls, the emotions sing that? Y’all don’t want me to play that song. It’s got to be real, man. Whatsoever things are pure. Whatsoever things are lovely. Is it pure? Pornography is not pure.
Okay? Look at me real good. Don’t bow your head is not time to pray when you’re praying right now. Pornography is not pure. Pornography is fornication and adultery and everything else rolled into one. If you’re watching pornography as sure as I’m black and my last name is white
and you don’t feel guilty about it, it does not bother you, you’re going to hell. That’s in the Bible. The word pornography or pornea is the root word for whoremongering and whoring around is what you’re doing. Trying to have sex with yourself. God never told you to have sex with yourself. There’s nowhere in the Bible.
God never told you that if you don’t have a mate, you’re not married, that you ought to stick your hand in your vagina or use your hand to masturbate, look at you. Some of you can’t stand me saying that. But you’re doing it. So what? God never told you to do it.
And that’s why if you’re saved, that’s why you feel guilty. What God wants you to do, what you want is sex with a human being as God intended. God made sex. God made marriage. God made all of that. That’s all good. Okay? And so you need to do it God’s way.
And trust God and let God chip away at your evil and foolishness to prepare you to be with somebody else so that you will not drive them crazy. See, God might be protecting other people from you because God knows how wicked and evil you are and out of control and out of balance you are. Okay?
And how moody and up and down you are, unstable you are. And God is saying, no, I’m not going to let you mess up that man’s life or that woman’s life. Okay? Pure things that are pure whatsoever, things that are lovely, beautiful. Whatsoever things are of good report,
if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. And ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you maintain your peace, thinking on these things. Okay. I have much more to say, so evidently I’m not going to finish this series this week.
Lord willing, we’ll finish it next week if that’s what he wants me to do. Shall we pray? Holy Father God, I pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ, have all that we do and say throughout this day be done for your glory, your praise,
and your honor for the glory, praise, and honor of the Lord Jesus Christ. And Holy Father God, thank you so much for allowing things to be as well as they are. Thank you, Lord, so much. For remembering mercy, loving grace upon such wicked and wretched people as we are. And thank you for your Holy Son,
the Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered, bled, and died on the cross. For our sin was buried and rose from the dead. Lord, I praise you and thank you for the power of your Holy Spirit, the power of your Holy Word, The power of prayer on this early Friday morning.
Lord, help all of the people here today remember your words. Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and ye shall find. Knock and it shall be opened unto you. Lord God in heaven, I pray for salvation and spiritual, family and life, financial and material, protection and provision, mental and physical blessing. Upon Sister Bliss, upon Deacon Karamba,
all the way from Great Britain, Deacon Moab, Brian, Zelda, Kit, Nizar, JP, Leah, Gabrielle, Pauline, Dan, Paul, Beckworth, Mark, His father Robert, Cornelius D. Jordan, PC3K, Edwin Alexander, and all of the people who have been with us throughout this morning. And Lord, we pray that you will be with them throughout this day. In Jesus Christ’s name,

my children and all other people here and who are not here. Lord, you know your children, for Jesus Christ’s sake, where we have sinned against you, where we have failed, where we have done evil. Please forgive us, Lord, of our sins, our faults, and our failures.
As we from our hearts, by your grace, forgive those who have sinned against us. Deliver us this morning and throughout this day and night on this Friday from temptation, evil, and sin. Grant us, Lord, your grace and your strength and the power of your Holy Spirit. To love right, to live right, to think right,
to do right, to act right, and to do that which is pleasing in your sight. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. And Holy Father God, help all of us who are saved, all of my children and all other Christian people in the world. Help us to humble ourselves. Help us to pray.
Help us to seek your face. Help us to turn from our wicked ways and repent from our wicked sins and get back to you, our first love. We pray for Sophie Isabella. We pray for Deacon Karamba. We pray for William Edwin. We pray for Grimley, Justina, Grandma Sue, Colleen, and everybody else. Who’s with us today.
Holy Father God, Deacon Karamba has asked us to pray for him as he is going through a lot right now in Great Britain. And Lord, we thank you that he has been a blessing. You have made him to be a blessing to our church here at Gospel Light House of Prayer International. And Holy Father God,
I also pray In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, give Deacon Karamba, Deacon Moab, Sister Bliss, Deacon Atkins, and all of us who are saved and born again, sweet victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. And we pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for Danny 777, my daughter, Daniela Danny, and Daniela.
Danita, Daniel, Danae, Daniko, Daniel, Ezekiel, Danielle, all of my children, Duran, Danielle, and Kwaiazia. I pray, Lord, for salvation and spiritual family and life. Financial and material, protection and provision, blessings upon them all. Lord, today, thank you so much for giving us one of the greatest family ministry experiences, Lord, that I know of.
And I give you the glory, praise, and honor for that. And Lord God in heaven, I And that work is still ongoing. I do pray in the holy name of the Lord Jesus Christ for my wife of over 38 years, 39 years and a few days.
And I give you the glory, praise and honor for keeping this marriage together. I do pray for her true and pure salvation. I pray for the true and pure salvation of her mother, her aunts and her siblings as well. And I pray the same for my mother and siblings and family members as well as all
of her family members. And Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that you will cast the devil and the demons of hell and the satanic demonic spirit of Judas, Jezebel, Sanballat and Tobias out of my wife, Meriqua Whyte, her mother, aunts and siblings, and all of her family members.
My mother and siblings and all of my family members give everybody sweet and powerful victory over the world, the flesh, and the devil. And Holy Father God, I also pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I pray for the salvation and the protection of the Israelites. AND THE PALESTINIANS AND ALL GENTAL NATIONS FOR INDEED RED, YELLOW, BLACK,
AND WHITE WE’RE ALL PRECIOUS IN YOUR SIGHT AND YOU HAVE PROVEN THAT BY SENDING YOUR SON JESUS CHRIST TO SUFFER, BLEED, AND DIE ON THE CROSS FOR ALL OF OUR SINS AND I GIVE YOU THE GLORY, PRAISE, AND HONOR FOR THAT AND LORD I PRAY THAT YOU’LL DELIVER ALL OF YOUR Children,
your saints, my children, myself and others from persecution and attacks. The Nigerian Christians, protect them as well. And deliver all of us this morning and throughout this day from the thorns in the flesh, devils and people. And the messengers of Satan, devils and people as well. And give us sweet victory.
Over the world, the flesh and the devil, each and every one of us. And Lord, I do pray that you will deliver each and every one of us who named the name of Christ from all of our distresses and afflictions, tribulations and troubles and trials and tests and tensions and tragedies. And Holy Father, God,
I do pray That you would deliver all of us from all spiritual and mental, physical and emotional, family, financial, legal, student loan debt, student progress problems, troubles and difficulties that we’re facing. And Deacon Karamba is asking this prayer request for everybody. Lord deliver all of us from distractions in this world. Help us all to say, Lord,
help us all to stay focused on you and keep our hearts and minds stayed on you. In Jesus Christ’s name I do pray and for his sake. Thank you, Lord, for allowing things to be as well as they are for they could be worse. Thank you, Lord, for
remembering mercy, loving grace upon each and every one of us. Holy Father God, prepare all of us in our hearts and spirits today for good days and bad days. Prepare us all for celebrations, tribulations, and tragedies. Prepare us all, Lord, for weddings and funerals. Prepare us all, Lord, for life and death.
In Jesus Christ’s name we pray and forsake. Amen. God bless you, dear friends. Until next time, pray for me as I will be praying for thee. And remember the motto of the Marines, Semper Fidelis, be always faithful to the Lord. And remember, dear friends, The motto of the Space Force and the Air Force, Semper Supra, always above,
keep your heart and mind, stay on the Lord above, and he’ll keep you in perfect peace. God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you. And because God, once you’re born again and saved, sheds his love abroad in your heart for other people, I love you too in the Lord. God bless you, dear friends.
Until next time, if you are willing, I will see you soon. God bless you, Sister Bliss, and your family. Continue to pray without ceasing, everybody, and to pray by praying breath prayers, little prayers. Half a minute prayers all throughout the day. Stay powerful in the Lord. God bless you all.

Daniel Whyte III is the president of the over-40-year-old Gospel Light Evangelistic Society International and the over-37-year-old Gospel Light House of Prayer International. He is known worldwide as the prophet who predicted the Coronavirus Plague more than 10 years before it hit, in recorded preaching and writing. God also led him to guide thousands through the Coronavirus Plague that killed over 20 million people because of the sins in the Judas-Jezebel-Laodicean church.
Daniel Whyte III’s greatest blessing in this life is his “quiver full” of 10 children&Dash;Daniella (Danni), Daniel IV, Danita Evangeline, Danae Mary-Louise, Daniqua Grace, Danyel Ezekiel, Danyelle Elizabeth Breedlove, Danielle Tekeela, Duran-Daniel, and the first Daniel IV (deceased and in heaven with the Lord)—along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daniel Whyte III has been unblissfully but sexually satisfyingly married to his first and only wife, Meriqua Whyte of Christiana, Jamaica, for over 37 years since December 19, 1987. Jesus Christ said: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Even though many evangelicals, charismatics, and Protestants try to act as if these words of Jesus Christ are not a reality in our modern Christianity—primarily because of the Satanic-driven prosperity gospel and an over-positive philosophy, which is a lie not based in reality or biblical truth—the words of Jesus Christ are true for every person who preaches the Gospel. The outcomes of the Gospel are a changed life and opposition from family, lukewarm Christians, Laodicean-Judas pastors and churches, the world, and the devil. This is a reality in our present evil world.
While Daniel Whyte III thoroughly enjoys his married life because he did not allow his wife to have her way at any point and was and is solidly, and biblically the head of his household throughout the marriage—often quoting Joshua, “As for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord” “up in here!”—and because his wife never failed in the very important area of sex, which he got married for in the first place to avoid sinning against God, he has especially enjoyed the privilege and joy of raising his children in the Lord virtually by himself. He served the Lord with them every day of their lives, from the time they were born until they graduated from college, became adults, and moved on.
However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Remember, we are in this worldwide, multi-generational mess because Adam hearkened to the voice of his wife and not to the voice of God.
Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.
Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.
Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person, even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you,” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.
However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. His ministry reaches over 148,800 people per month with over 21,000 unique views per month, reaching 149 countries, preaching the Gospel and the Word of God in 2 to 3 services a day, 7 days a week. Glory be to God!
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage.
Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:
Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.
God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)
God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:
My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him.
Other Christian women speakers
Other preachers
Books and other materials, but I would not take heed.
I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.
Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing it as I go through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.
Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what You want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born, and repeatedly while the children were young, that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them, and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break down the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.
Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:
“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”
I brought the diminishing of peace and joy in my life on myself throughout the years. Not having a proper relationship with God, my husband, and my children, I brought on myself—all because I chose the disobedient route. My number one desire is to live a life of peace—peace with God, my husband, and my children. I have learned that peace will not come as long as I live in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride.
I will end this with two notes: (1) Happy Father’s Day to my husband: you have been a great husband and father. (2) Happy Children’s Day to my children: You all have been great children. I have no complaints whatsoever against my husband and, of course, my children; you have never been at fault. My bad behavior is all on me, and I’m sorry I put you through this. May God bless your lives, and I love you.
Ephesians 5:22 – 6:20 (KJV)
Below is the passage in the Bible that Daniel Whyte III read in their family devotions every day for decades. It covers the biblical duties of the husband, the wife, and the children, and includes how to fight the devil, who seeks to destroy the family.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Gospel in a Nutshell
If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?
This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
“Have You Been Born Again?”
The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).
A New Nature Needed
By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become “partakers of the divine nature.” A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting.” The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”
Not “Trying” But “Trusting”
“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ; it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ, who has done it all! He has “finished the work,” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.
What Must I Do To Be Saved?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
You are born again; you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in, and life begins!
What Is Meant By “Believe”?
To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”
The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!
May I Know That I Am Born Again?
This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved; you are “born again,”; you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!
One Final Word
You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:
Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, save my soul, and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me repent of my past sins. Help me turn from my old, evil life and follow You into a new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
