Story Number 1: Pastor, Songwriter, and Gospel Singer Donnie McClurkin Strangely Rebukes Jamal Bryant
Let me say that again. Story number one for this evening: pastor, songwriter, Christian songwriter, and gospel singer Donnie McClurkin strangely rebukes Jamal Bryant over his “abracadabra” sermon. Grammy Award-winning gospel singer and pastor Donnie McClurkin has publicly rebuked Pastor Jamal Bryant of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, for equating the magician’s term “abracadabra” with Romans 4:17: “17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.”
I say strangely, ladies and gentlemen, because Donnie McClurkin is really in a worse situation than the preacher he is rebuking. Donnie McClurkin is still involved in a civil lawsuit filed in January 2026 in the New York County Supreme Court, where his legal team has denied all allegations as categorically false. A former male personal assistant, Mr. Giuseppe Corletto, and a parishioner in his church filed the lawsuit on January 2nd, 2026, which has shocked the Christian community. The allegations state that McClurkin sexually abused and assaulted Mr. Corletto over a period spanning nearly a decade, according to the Los Angeles Times. The context claims the abuse began during private spiritual—so-called spiritual—sessions meant to help Corletto reconcile his sexuality with his Christian religious beliefs. These allegations are, of course, of a homosexual nature. The lawsuit was brought under New York City’s Gender Motivated Violence Protection Law, which allows an extended window for older abuse.
McClurkin’s attorney issued a statement calling the accusations categorically false and stating they mischaracterize the relationship. The case is an active civil matter in court. No final judgment, trial, verdict, or settlement has been finalized yet. My whole point is, ladies and gentlemen, it appears to me that Pastor Donnie McClurkin ought not to be rebuking anybody. He ought to keep his nose out of other people’s matters, even though Jamal Bryant is consistently wrong with what he says from the pulpit. Of course, I have had to rebuke Jamal Bryant down through the years, to the point where he tried to start a lawsuit against me and BCNN1, but to no avail.
What Donnie McClurkin is trying to point out is an accurate rebuke of Jamal Bryant, but he just does not have the moral authority to even talk about another preacher. The “abracadabra” thing and most of what Jamal Bryant is doing today is beneath what we cover here at BCNN1. That’s a very small matter, and we don’t even want to dignify it with a response because it is ridiculous for any preacher to get into the pulpit and holler, “Abracadabra.” Can you imagine Billy Graham preaching a sermon titled “Abracadabra”? Can you imagine Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. or his father, ML King Sr., preaching a sermon titled “Abracadabra”? Can you imagine the Apostle Paul rearing back and preaching a series of messages titled “Abracadabra”? That is foolishness.
The thing that sparked our attention is gospel singer and pastor Donnie McClurkin piping in and then bringing out Romans 4:17. In an August 2nd sermon at his Stonecrest, Georgia church—New Birth Church, where Eddie Long used to pastor—Bryant told his congregation the word meant “I create what I speak” and encouraged them to speak things into existence, even telling them to say “abracadabra” over their bills.
And by the way, you can say “abracadabra” or whatever else you want to say over your bills. The only thing that’s going to take care of your bills are greenbacks. God can possibly help you get the greenbacks through prayer, but I don’t think God is hearing anything about “abracadabra.” That’s not going to work, by the way, so don’t do that, ladies and gentlemen. Even the people at New Birth, don’t wave your hand talking about “abracadabra” when I’m telling you straight up, I don’t care what Jamal told you all, don’t do that unless you end up dead. Don’t do that foolishness.
Preaching at Perfecting Faith Church—I believe that church is connected with Marvin Winans, his friend, in Freeport, New York—McClurkin warned that Christians cannot mix witchcraft with holiness and called the doctrine wrong because it leads believers into wrong belief.
My further comment: Pastor McClurkin is right, and yet he’s wrong for what he’s being accused of. He needs to sit down somewhere and be quiet. He’s not even fit to be in the pulpit, much less trying to rebuke somebody else in their pulpit. However, I am thankful that somebody is saying something about this foolishness, even though I really believe at this point in Jamal’s life, it’s really not that important. The pulpit is for “Thus saith the Lord,” not for magic potions and words and Word of Faith foolishness dressed up in Arabic. I don’t even think the Muslims would use the word “abracadabra.” Romans 4:17 is about the God who quickeneth the dead. It is about God’s power, not ours or the devil’s or the word “abracadabra.” Preachers, handle the word of God rightly. Pastors, handle the word of God rightly. James 3:1 says we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Story Number 2: Grace Community Church Names John MacArthur’s Successor
Praise the Lord, Sister Bliss, for being with us tonight with Maluma, Adam Gold, Smith, and so many others. At this time in this live broadcast, we have over 1,700 with us.
Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, has named Dr. Nathan Busenitz as its new senior pastor, a little over a year after the death of the great man of God, Dr. John MacArthur. The elders unanimously selected Busenitz, who served for several years as MacArthur’s personal assistant. He is 48 years old—that’s a good age for him to take over, giving him a good 20 to 30 years to be the next pastor of that great church if God allows him to live. He grew up in the church and has worked there in various capacities since 2001. And that’s how it ought to be, ladies and gentlemen. That’s how it ought to be. The church ought not to have to go outside of the church trying to find somebody. So, praise God. God raised up a Samuel, my dear friends, in the church from a child, under Dr. John MacArthur. We pray that he will not fail, but that he will be successful.
Whatever you thought of Dr. John MacArthur, dear friends, I thought he was a great man of God. I recall and I remember, Mrs. Whyte, there were many nights that you were right there with me as we were traveling across the country and around the globe—in your case, across the country—where we would catch Dr. John MacArthur. He kept us company as we traveled across the country to preach the gospel. Especially around 10 p.m., we would catch Grace to You. Dr. John MacArthur was not a fancy preacher. He was not an exciting preacher, but he was solid, and he was strong. And we pray that the same will happen to his preacher boy that he raised up.
And so, ladies and gentlemen, whatever you thought of Dr. John MacArthur, the man stood on the Book, the Blood, and the Blessed Hope for over 50 years. Fired up and ready to go. This transition appears to have been done decently and in order. I like it real good. I always like it when the church can choose somebody who was raised up under the great man of God in the church from a child. That’s a beautiful situation. Every pastor ought to take note because most churches do it the wrong way. They don’t look inside. They don’t look to the faithful young man who stood by the man of God, as the old black saints used to call him.
Now, is it exciting? No. And see, that’s where churches make the mistake. They want to go out and get somebody comparable to Dr. John MacArthur. Number one, you’re not going to be able to do that. Number two, they may not have the same morality and the same theology. So it hardly ever works out. They’re trying to get a star, somebody who can bring in the people and bring in the money. What he needs is what Dr. John MacArthur had—the anointing. Dr. John MacArthur didn’t shout. He didn’t jump. He didn’t run. He didn’t holler. He stood flat-footed and basically read his sermon that he wrote out. But buddy, as you were traveling across the country as I was, he was a blessing to your heart because one thing is for sure: you may not have liked what John MacArthur said, but you sure understood him. Every pastor ought to take note. Every church ought to take note. Prepare your successor before God calls you home so the flock is not scattered by false prophets and false teachers, bamboozled and run amok.
Story Number 3: So-Called G3 Ministries Shuts Down Under Bad Circumstances
Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, story number three: so-called G3 Ministries shuts down under bad circumstances. G3 Ministries, a once-prominent Reformed Baptist conference ministry, shut down this week after four so-called Christian leaders—Sister Bliss, Michael, Steve, and others—confessed they had sinfully meddled with a local church.
Now, I know some Southern Baptists are involved with this. I love my Southern Baptist brethren. I’m not mad at you. You’ve been very good to me. But the biggest meddlers and the biggest whisperers, I believe, out of all denominations, are the professional whisperers in the Southern Baptist Church. Because if they want to get you, they can get you. And they’ve gotten many. This is a demonic spirit of whispering, meddling, talking behind people’s backs.
So, beloved, here is the lesson, plain and simple: Para-church ministries are not the church. And when men build platforms bigger than their accountability, yea, the local church, the whole thing comes down, tumbling down due to pride. Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18. May God grant these men who call themselves brothers genuine repentance and restoration, if that be God’s will.
I believe that meddling in other people’s business, local church business, trying to take down somebody because you don’t want them in a certain position, playing politics—which the Southern Baptists do very well every June—is wrong. They were trying to draft Dr. Tony Evans to be the president of the Southern Baptist Convention, and he said the same thing I would have said: “Not me. I’m not going to let you lynch me like y’all lynch your own people every year.” The spirit of lynching is still in the Southern Baptist Convention so bad that they will lynch their own white preachers. So Dr. Tony Evans said, “No siree, you will never lynch me up in here. I’m okay with just coming by to preach the word to you. But I am not going to let you all lynch me at the Southern Baptist Convention and talk about me like a junkyard dog behind my back. You people are good at it.” And Tony knew it. That’s not the way it should be.
Story Number 4: Presbyterian Church (USA) Calls a Transgender-Identified Pastor
Story number four: Presbyterian Church USA—PCUSA—calls a transgender-identified pastor. That’s what they did. And they’re in trouble with God. A Presbyterian Church USA church in South Carolina has hired a pastor who identifies as transgender. Lord have mercy.
My comment here at BCNN1 Black Coffee: I say this with a heavy heart and with malice for none and charity for all, as Abraham Lincoln said—no hatred toward any soul. And by the way, if you have any hatred towards anybody, no matter whether they’re white, black, red, yellow, homosexual, lesbian, bisexual, whatever, if you have any hatred towards a human being, you cannot be saved. Okay? So I hope you all understand that. You can hate the sin, but you don’t have to hate anybody. And you can preach the truth in love. People know when you love them.
I don’t have any problems with the homosexuals. They know where I stand, and they know I’m real about it, and they don’t mess with me. I get more hell from the so-called church folks, the pastors and the pastors’ wives. I catch more hell from pastors’ wives and pastors than the homosexuals. See, when they know you’re real about something—read your Bible in the book of Acts. When the demons came out and said, “Jesus, we know, and Paul, we know, but who are you?”—if you’re up there playing and they can tell you got some sugar in your tank, and you’re trying to preach and they know that you’ve been down to the homosexual gay bar as well, they saw you down there, they got your number, and they’re going to ride you out of town. But if they know you’re real, they don’t mess with me. I’ve never had any problems whatsoever because they can tell that I’m not playing.
And what homosexuals and other people who are in sin—adulterers, fornicators, wife swappers, and all of the Ashley Madison crowd—deep down want is somebody to be where they’re supposed to be for God when they are ready to come out of it. But you hurt them. You don’t help them by joining them on the down low. Pastor, pastor’s wife, they can tell too. They have gaydar. Gaydar can tell whether or not you are gay or whether you’re a lesbian. Birds of a feather flock together.
My further comment: I say this with a heavy heart and with malice for none and charity for all—no hatred here toward any soul. And that’s not me; that’s God’s love, my dear friend. And I mean that. It’s shocking to me that I love everybody. I ain’t mad at nobody. It’s shocking to me that I love my wife, who is full of hell and the devil and is a Judas Jezebel person. I know y’all don’t like for me to tell the truth because you want me to lie like everybody else. You know how people do. Pastors are lying about how much of a honeybunch their wife is, and she’s nothing but a lying Jezebel. Okay, I’m not going to do that. I was raised in a household like that. I am not going to lie about our situation. I’m going to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about myself, my wife, my children, whoever. I ain’t in nobody’s camp. I’m not trying to protect no family name and none of that. To hell with all of that. It’s all about Jesus. See, I have no family pride or personal pride. I’m dead to myself. Okay, and all other saved people ought to be dead to themselves, not trying to hold on to anything good about themselves because none of us have anything good about us. Might as well just tell the truth and shame the devil.
This is not progress; this is apostasy. God’s Word has not changed. “Male and female created He them.” God created man and woman. Let me tell you something. I still believe one of the most beautiful things—outside of salvation and believing in Christ—that God ever did was to create a man and a woman. And I believe the greatest of that combination is the woman. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. I believe the most beautiful creature on God’s green earth is a woman. What a man wants with another man, I have no idea. I’ve never seen a handsome man, a good-looking man, in my life. I don’t know what women see in men, as ugly and as wicked as men are. But God threw away the mold and made the woman.
A denomination, a so-called Christian denomination, that will not submit to Scripture, the Holy Word of God, on who man is, will not submit to Scripture on who God is. And let me just mention these churches and pastors who don’t know what a woman is. We have a Supreme Court Justice, a black woman, and I know she knows better, talking about how she doesn’t know what a woman is. That’s insane. We have lost our righteous minds, everybody. Pray for those sitting in those pews. Pray for those people who are demon-possessed and who have lost their righteous mind. You say, “Well, preacher, why can’t you just live and let live?” I’m doing what God called me to do so that everybody can live throughout eternity. Sometimes people just need to be told the truth. Some people know the truth, and they just need somebody strong enough to remind them of the truth so they can kind of get slapped back into their senses.
Story Number 5: Baptist Pastor Executed by Myanmar Military Junta
Story number five: Baptist pastor executed by the Myanmar military junta. We’ve been praying for Myanmar for over 20 years, as well as Venezuela. That’s just a whole lot going on that many of you do not know about. According to a watchdog organization, a Baptist pastor was executed by the Myanmar military junta amid the ongoing conflict there. And in related persecution news, Iran has killed and imprisoned dozens of Christians as persecution rises.
My comment today here at BCNN1 Black Coffee: While we in America argue over comfort, our brothers and sisters are dying for the name of Jesus Christ, and things are going to get worse in America. I told you this the other night, and I’m going to tell you again: you better get yourself a generator—one that can be powered by the sun because you won’t even have a vehicle to go get any gas, because there won’t be any gas after a while. Go ahead and load up on water. Get you one of those little water kits where you can get some water from the creek and have some water to drink. Some of these things are not that expensive. You can get a small generator, a medium-sized generator, or a big generator for your whole house. Whatever you do, you need to go ahead and stock up and get prepared because things are going to get ugly here soon. Stock up on canned goods. Get yourself some Spam. Spam is the cheapest meat you can buy. If you can afford it, get about 30 cans of Spam. I didn’t say it was good for you; I’m just saying it’ll keep you alive. And get you some beans in the can, vegetables in the can. You need to prepare for being without electricity and water for a long period of time. I’m telling you right now.
And let me help you. If Peter Thiel has moved out of the country and he knows everything that’s happening in governments around the world, he knows something is getting ready to happen, and it probably will take place within the next three months. Okay? Ra Leon said, “I get bacon, Spam.” Okay, all right. You’re braver than I am, Ra Leon. I’m not trying to sell anything. I’m trying to help you to have something tasty to eat when you run out of food because the situation in America is far worse than what you people think. So my job is to warn you about the future so you can be ready. You need a generator of some kind. You need a small generator for your bedroom. You need a generator to power a little stove or something to cook your food on. And some of you ladies might need to start taking some Taekwondo and get you some bear, grizzly bear spray to protect yourself. And you might need to go to the gun range. I told my daughters, I never thought I would ever have to tell you this. Because most people are not going to prepare like you will prepare, and then once they find out they don’t have any oil, they’re going to come and try to get yours. So you need to be prepared. I’m sad to say, but things are not like they used to be.
But back to the persecution: our brothers and sisters are dying for the name of Jesus Christ while we are talking about comfort over here in America. Hebrews 13:3 commands us to remember them that are in bonds as bound with them. Black church, white church, pray for the persecuted church. They are our family as well.
Story Number 6: Dr. Fred Luter Honored at the Black Church Leadership and Family Conference
Story Number Six: Dr. Fred Luter has been honored at the Black Church Leadership and Family Conference at Lifeway’s 33rd Black Church Leadership and Family Conference at Ridgecrest, North Carolina. A former Southern Baptist Convention President—the first black Southern Baptist Convention President—Dr. Fred Luter of New Orleans, Louisiana, was honored upon his upcoming retirement from the senior pastorate of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans. Dr. Luter preached at the final keynote from Ezekiel 37 on reengaging dry bones.
My comment: Dr. Fred Luter is a man who has shown himself to be faithful for the most part. A man who rebuilt his church after Hurricane Katrina and became the first black president of the Southern Baptist Convention without compromising the gospel of the Word of God. So, young preachers, study his life. Be faithful like him. If God has called you to be a pastor, go there. Stay there and be faithful throughout your life by the grace of God. And we do hope and pray that God will say to Dr. Fred Luter, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” for only God can say that.
Story Number 7: Christian Nurse Held as a Hero in Pakistan
Story number seven, and I think our final story for tonight—a good word to close on: a Christian nurse held as a hero in Pakistan. A Christian nurse who risked her life to rescue an infant from a deadly fire at a government hospital in Pakistan’s capital has been hailed as a hero indeed across the country after footage of the rescue went viral.
My BCNN1 Black Coffee comment: In a nation where Christians are often despised and persecuted, one believing woman’s courage preached a louder sermon than a thousand words in a pulpit. That is Matthew 5:16 in action. Sister Bliss, let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Beloved, that is the news straight with no sugar or cream from BCNN1’s Black Coffee. I am Daniel Whyte III. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou, [you] shall be saved. Jesus Christ said it first and best—the most important words in the history of the world—when He said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Please understand that we are all sinners. Nobody is better than anybody else. And I’m just a beggar telling other beggars where the bread is. I’m just a nobody telling everybody about Somebody who can save anybody. His name is Jesus Christ. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou [you] shall be saved. Saved from what? Saved from the burning hell. Jesus Christ preached more on hell than anybody in the Bible and more than most preachers living today. So hell is a real place, and that’s what you’re getting saved from, because we deserve to go to hell and burn forever because of our sins.
Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. And all we have to do is believe in Him. Do it tonight, my dear friends. Don’t let one minute go by. I urge you to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that He suffered, He bled, He died, was buried, and rose on the third day by the power of God. And all you have to do is believe in Him and pray and ask Him to save you. For the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Follow me in the sinner’s prayer. Repeat after me, phrase by phrase, and mean it from your heart. And we’re not talking about church membership. You don’t have to join this church or any other church to get saved. Simply join Jesus Christ. Believe in Him. Trust in Him. Pray and ask Him to save you. And He will save you.
Sinner’s Prayer:
Holy Father God, I admit that I am a wicked and evil sinner and that I have done evil in Your sight. I have broken Your Ten Commandments multiple times. For Jesus Christ’s sake, have mercy and grace upon my wretched soul. Please forgive me of all of my sins, my faults, and my failures. As I now believe in You, Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that You suffered, You bled, and You died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in You. And I pray and ask You to come into my heart and into my spirit and truly save my soul from my sins and from the burning hell that I deserve so that I can go to the beautiful heaven that I don’t deserve. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray and for His sake. Amen.
God bless you, dear friends. Until next time, Lord willing.
(Final Announcements)
By the way, since Sister Bliss is here tonight, she reminded me last night that we are having communion early on Sunday morning. So go ahead and confess your sins, repent, stay away from sin, get right with God. Get you some grape juice or some red wine—kosher red wine, which is not that expensive. Get you some kosher little crackers. Break them up. And you and your whole family can take communion. That’s how the first church did it at the house. Always remember the church started in the house.
We’ll be having communion, Lord willing, at 7 a.m. on Sunday if the Lord tarries His coming and we live. I just heard a gunshot somewhere, so if I’m here, I’ll be here, leading communion as I’ve done now for over 46 years.
Remember the motto of the Marines: Semper Fidelis. Remember the motto of the Space Force and the Air Force: Semper Supra, always above. And keep your eyes on the prize, and keep looking up because your redemption draws nigh. God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you. And I love you in the Lord. God bless you, everybody. Until next time.

Daniel Whyte III is the president of the over-40-year-old Gospel Light Evangelistic Society International and the over-37-year-old Gospel Light House of Prayer International. He is known worldwide as the prophet who predicted the Coronavirus Plague more than 10 years before it hit, in recorded preaching and writing. God also led him to guide thousands through the Coronavirus Plague that killed over 20 million people because of the sins in the Judas-Jezebel-Laodicean church.
Daniel Whyte III’s greatest blessing in this life is his “quiver full” of 10 children—Daniella (Danni), Daniel IV, Danita Evangeline, Danae Mary-Louise, Daniqua Grace, Danyel Ezekiel, Danyelle Elizabeth Breedlove, Danielle Tekeela, Duran-Daniel, and the first Daniel IV (deceased and in heaven with the Lord)—along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Daniel Whyte III has been unblissfully but sexually satisfyingly married to his first and only wife, Meriqua Whyte of Christiana, Jamaica, for over 37 years since December 19, 1987. Jesus Christ said: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Even though many evangelicals, charismatics, and Protestants try to act as if these words of Jesus Christ are not a reality in our modern Christianity—primarily because of the Satanic-driven prosperity gospel and an over-positive philosophy, which is a lie not based in reality or biblical truth—the words of Jesus Christ are true for every person who preaches the Gospel. The outcomes of the Gospel are a changed life and opposition from family, lukewarm Christians, Laodicean-Judas pastors and churches, the world, and the devil. This is a reality in our present evil world.
While Daniel Whyte III thoroughly enjoys his married life because he did not allow his wife to have her way at any point and was and is solidly, and biblically the head of his household throughout the marriage—often quoting Joshua, “As for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord” “up in here!”—and because his wife never failed in the very important area of sex, which he got married for in the first place to avoid sinning against God, he has especially enjoyed the privilege and joy of raising his children in the Lord virtually by himself. He served the Lord with them every day of their lives, from the time they were born until they graduated from college, became adults, and moved on.
However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Remember, we are in this worldwide, multi-generational mess because Adam hearkened to the voice of his wife and not to the voice of God.
Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.
Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.
Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person, even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you,” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.
However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. His ministry reaches over 148,800 people per month with over 21,000 unique views per month, reaching 149 countries, preaching the Gospel and the Word of God in 2 to 3 services a day, 7 days a week. Glory be to God!
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother
Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage.
Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:
Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.
God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)
God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:
- My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him.
- Other Christian women speakers
- Other preachers
- Books and other materials, but I would not take heed.
I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.
Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing it as I go through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.
Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what You want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born, and repeatedly while the children were young, that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them, and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break down the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.
Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:
“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”
I brought the diminishing of peace and joy in my life on myself throughout the years. Not having a proper relationship with God, my husband, and my children, I brought on myself—all because I chose the disobedient route. My number one desire is to live a life of peace—peace with God, my husband, and my children. I have learned that peace will not come as long as I live in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride.
I will end this with two notes: (1) Happy Father’s Day to my husband: you have been a great husband and father. (2) Happy Children’s Day to my children: You all have been great children. I have no complaints whatsoever against my husband and, of course, my children; you have never been at fault. My bad behavior is all on me, and I’m sorry I put you through this. May God bless your lives, and I love you.
Ephesians 5:22 – 6:20 (KJV)
Below is the passage in the Bible that Daniel Whyte III read in their family devotions every day for decades. It covers the biblical duties of the husband, the wife, and the children, and includes how to fight the devil, who seeks to destroy the family.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
The Gospel in a Nutshell
If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”
Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?
This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.
“Have You Been Born Again?”
The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).
A New Nature Needed
By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become “partakers of the divine nature.” A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting.” The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”
Not “Trying” But “Trusting”
“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ; it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ, who has done it all! He has “finished the work,” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.
What Must I Do To Be Saved?
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
You are born again; you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in, and life begins!
What Is Meant By “Believe”?
To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”
The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!
May I Know That I Am Born Again?
This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved; you are “born again,”; you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!
One Final Word
You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.
If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:
Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart, save my soul, and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me repent of my past sins. Help me turn from my old, evil life and follow You into a new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
