Raw Sermon Transcript: Pedophiles—Kenny Baldwin, Robert Morris, or Any Other Pedophile Pastor—Can Never Be Restored to the Gospel Preaching Ministry. Period. Full Stop (Part 1) — Daniel Whyte III

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, I have to preach a message today that I do not take any joy in delivering. I have dealt with these issues many times. This is the first time—well, probably the second time—that I’ve had to deal with these tragic and public issues regarding people I know and don’t know. We’ve had a little connection in the past. You don’t want to have to deal with it because you don’t want them thinking that you are gloating over this very tragic public failure. That’s the main reason why you don’t want to even say anything about it.

In my case, I have no connection to Kenny Baldwin. But I’ve always respected Dr. Lou Baldwin. Dr. Lou Baldwin, behind Dr. James Earl, has been considered the number one leader of the independent Black independent Baptist movement. Kenny Baldwin’s failure and his son Michael’s failure both are basically going to be in jail at the same time. I’ll be dealing with that a little bit later in a different setting. I know his heart is broken because he is a preacher who has done things with excellence. As far as I know, there’s no scandal associated with his name, and that’s good.

Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, they may even be in the audience. We’re on six platforms here. Strangely, I have seen some names that look very familiar. But whether they are or not, I have to preach this message as I have done against many pastors and preachers that I don’t know. I have to be the same way so that I can avoid appearing to show favor to them because we are from the same group of the great movement that started back in the early 70s to late 70s, where God touched the hearts of white independent Baptist preachers and churches to reach out to the Black community, and a whole lot of people got saved, and some of us got called to preach.

Dr. Lou Baldwin was one. Glenda Hamilton was another. So many other preachers got saved around that time and somehow connected with the Independent Baptist Movement. Some of the best people in the world are independent Baptists. I’m proud of how white independent Baptists—there’s no sign of trying to make this a race thing—they love Kenny. They loved him strong, and they are rebuking him strong out of love. Their hearts are broken. I’ve never seen—listen to me—even with other white pastors flipping and falling, I’ve never seen white independent Baptists so heartbroken in my life, and I’ve been dealing with the independent Baptists for nearly 50 years.

Be that as it may, I preach in your hearing today. Sadly, pedophiles—Kenneth “Kenny” Baldwin, Robert Morris, or no other pedophile pastor—can ever be restored to the gospel preaching ministry. Period. Full stop. And by God’s grace, God has led me to make this very clear and plain to churches across the nation and around the globe.

There are many young people, most of them white and a few Black. Some are former members of Kenneth Kenny Baldwin’s church and Lou Baldwin’s church. Ladies and gentlemen, there is one particular young lady—it just breaks my heart. She can’t be any more than 18 or 19, and her heart is broken. Her mind has been blown away that her former pastor has done this. This poor child is by herself searching the scriptures, even mentioning that she reads the King James Version of the Bible and trying to make sense of this damnable foolishness that Kenny Baldwin has done.

I’ve never seen so many people heartbroken—literally heartbroken—over a preacher doing something like this. They fear that the leadership of the church, Crossroads Baptist Church, and so-called independent Baptist leaders—white Baptist, independent Baptist leaders—will try to restore Kenny Baldwin. These young people fear this. They believe that there’s something afoot right now to restore Kenny Baldwin back to where he was.

I’m here to tell my dear brother that I have respected for years—because Lou Baldwin never followed the crowd. He was truly independent. He was independent of the independence, if you will. He had his own vision. God gave him a vision. One of the reasons why God has allowed the different denominations and denominations within denominations, even among the independent Baptists, is this: After God saved that wave of young Black men, including myself in the 70s—many of us being in the military, hearing the gospel for the first time, getting saved and getting on fire for the Lord—it was the start of a movement by God across the nation and around the globe because some of us got saved overseas. There was never a group more fired up than the Black independent Baptists.

But even within that movement, God allowed separations and independence of the independence, if you will. Lou Baldwin rose up and had a good group of preachers following him. Then you had the IBF, the Black Independent Baptist Fellowship. Lou Baldwin started COEBA, the Conference on Evangelizing Black America, which is now defunct as I have been told. The IBF is still going but not well attended. Then you had the FBFA. Then you had my conference, the Torch Conference on Revival and Evangelism, and the Torch publication, which in the beginning became like John R. Rice’s Sword of the Lord. The editor of the Sword of the Lord—we had two editors, but Curtis Hudson helped us get started. Sister Bliss, so glad to have you. Elizabeth, Danielle, so glad to have you. A different kind of service today for the morning time. A whole lot was going on. People went their different ways.

Then you had, of course, Dr. Earl, who was a part of the IVF, but he was leader all by himself of different groups—Dr. James Earl. Even though I didn’t know Lou Baldwin that well, I respected him because he was coming from a different class and a different cut. He’s one of those guys that you just respect. God had blessed him already throughout his life, and then when he got saved, he became a leader of the Black independent Baptist movement.

Now, one of the reasons why Kenny is popular in that movement is because of Lou Baldwin. Lou Baldwin did something that’s rarely done, white or Black: Lew Baldwin raised his boys in Christ and in the Word. Very few people know the Word like Kenny Baldwin. You can just tell by his preaching. That’s why it is so heartbreaking to thousands of independent Baptists, children and teenagers across the country. I mean, they’re crying. They’re so heartbroken. There’s not a whit of racism in their rebuke of him or their disappointment from the pastors. They’re just like I am: we’re not going to tolerate pedophiles, especially in the Independent Baptist Movement.

We can love you and work with you if you got tempted by a voluptuous, fine, PHAT woman. We can work with you and try to get you restored. But a child—no sir, no ma’am. I know my independent Baptist people are going to stand up against that. I’m preaching this message because it needs to be perfectly clear publicly, because there is a genuine fear that the great Dr. Louis Baldwin is too close to this thing. That’s his baby boy. His oldest son messed up bad too with fraud and, I believe, is still in jail.

Dr. Lou Baldwin is a man with a pastor’s heart, and he loves his children. He set his children up to have success, and they both have failed miserably. But don’t be too shocked at that because Eli’s sons failed, and so did Samuel’s. I’ll be dealing with that later in another setting. I don’t believe Lou Baldwin has anything to do with this other than he probably loved those—he loves those boys more than what he should. I’ve already written an article about this publicly that some clear-headed, cool-headed, white and Black independent Baptist preachers need to circle around this good man. He did good. He did good. He tried to do the best he could do.

As I was mentioning earlier, rarely does a pastor raise his sons in such a way that they are able to take over the ministry from him and carry it forward, and then have a son so gifted who, quite frankly, can preach better than Lou Baldwin. Lou Baldwin is a preaching machine, but Kenny Baldwin preaches better than Lou Baldwin. Rarely does that happen. So he did good. He did his part, and nobody can really blame him for this awful failure of Michael Baldwin and Kenneth “Kenny” Baldwin.

So that’s not why I’m here. I thank God for Dr. Lou Baldwin. He showed me kindness and respect. He came and preached at our conference, the Torch Conference on Revival and Evangelism, in Philadelphia. He supported and helped not only his organization but also supported and helped—and many people don’t know this. In fact, I know something that most independent Baptists don’t know.

None of us are for preachers who are married and divorced, period. That’s a big no-no. But Dr. Lew Baldwin followed how the Lord spoke to his heart about one preacher whose wife left him without grounds. What you don’t know about him is that he supported that brother. That preacher’s name is Dr. Andrew Hamilton. He helped many preachers that way, secretly, that were not even a part of his group. Andrew Hamilton would have been more a part of the IBF, the Independent Baptist Fellowship. But praise the Lord, Dr. Lew Baldwin saw what he was doing and tried to help him when most brothers didn’t want to have anything to do with him. This preacher would pick apples in apple season and then preach, starting a church. Lou Baldwin supported him because he started two churches. That’s the kind of guy he is. He didn’t follow the other guys who condemned Andrew Hamilton and didn’t want to have anything to do with them and mocked them.

Lou Baldwin, who was a professional man before he became a preacher, doesn’t play games with people. He was a businessman, and he’s not going to do anything that doesn’t work. He realized that this man, even though he had some troubles in his marriage, was doing what Lou Baldwin was always about. I don’t know what church Lou Baldwin came out of, but they taught him well about the importance of the local church. One of the sermons that he is famous for—and all of what I’m saying right now is without notes at this point—is “Stay in the Ship,” that is the church, and work through the church.

So we thank God for Dr. Lou Baldwin. But I have to lovingly say to Dr. Lou Baldwin, a man that I respect and appreciate, who carried himself like a godly Christian gentleman, loving all people in the movement and outside of the movement, who had the courage to call his conference the Conference on Evangelizing Black America, and he’s not a pro-Black person. That’s not even him. But he had a burden. We all had a burden for our brethren according to the flesh. We knew we got saved out of religion, out of the Black church—not in it, in spite of it. We got saved out of hooping and hollering preaching. You don’t understand—they ain’t said nothing. We don’t even understand what you’re talking about. We got saved not under Reverend Pretty, but a white preacher named Bill Riddick who just stood flat-footed. Don’t get mad at me, Black folk; you know what I’m talking about. They got out by 12. They did more in one hour than many Black churches did in three and four hours, whether you like it or not, and everybody knows it.

Baldwin raised up a son who stood flat-footed and preached the Word of God and now sits. I’ll just go ahead and say this, and I’ll deal with this later too: this is pretty much the end of the Black independent Baptist movement as we know it, but praise God for the remnant. There is a remnant of the independent Baptist, the independent Black Baptist movement. We thank God for a few friends. We thank God for the biblical, more conservative Southern Baptist preachers who helped us on the side with money, help with our buildings. We ain’t mad at you; we thank God for you. They did it without the denomination knowing.

We thank God also for the National Baptist Black Convention, who when we came to town to plant churches, they didn’t fight us. They didn’t come say, “Well, I mean, why are you here?” They did not turn into Sanballat and Tobias. They didn’t condemn us. They didn’t come and try to tear us down. Maybe a few, but they had their own thing going on. We thank God for some unlikely friends.

But the truth is, the IBF is on its very last leg. The FBFA is stronger than the IBF or COEBA or the Conference on Revival and Evangelism, but they’re not burning down the woods. They’re not. They know they’re not. I have no fear of successful contradiction because I have reported on these groups and have had some connection with all of these groups down through the years. No Black independent Baptist movement is on fire. But it’s no shock because the Southern Baptists are not—they’re still battling on fundamental, basic things regarding things like female pastors. Independent Baptists are not dealing with that. We thank God.

So hats off to Dr. Lou Baldwin. I want to make it clear to everybody that Dr. Lou Baldwin does not have anything to do with Kenny Baldwin’s failure or Michael Baldwin’s failure. He did his part. He gave them an opportunity of a lifetime. He turned the ministry over to them, even when I thought it was too early, but he did it anyway. Those are his children, and he saw some things that I didn’t see, and I don’t think anybody else saw. Effectively, they became the leaders of COEBA, which is now defunct.

But I do want to say this to Dr. Lou Baldwin: Do not lie. Do not cover this up. Don’t join anybody in covering it up. Do what you did a couple of Wednesday nights ago, two or three Wednesday nights ago. I was very proud of you and very happy for you. God gave you the grace to go into that almost empty church on a Wednesday night. You didn’t delegate it to one of your underlings; you could have done that. This was after it was known that Kenny Baldwin was sending penis pics to a 15-year-old boy. This was after it was known that he exposed his penis to a 15-year-old boy in three different states. I know you were devastated, but you did what I have always expected you to do. You rose up and delivered a basic biblical message on prayer. You did what I’ve been telling pastors to do for years now: we need to go back to old-fashioned prayer services. No more division. Parents need to bring their children into the auditorium, and everybody needs to pray together. Here’s something about prayer, which was another classic message that you did on prayer. I don’t even think you had to do a whole lot of study for it, but it was organized, and it was powerful. That is the message on the Throne of Grace, Dr. Lou Baldwin. God gave you the grace and strength to do that, and I pray that you will continue to lead your church in doing that, come hell or high water.

But quite frankly, Dr. Lou Baldwin, you’ve done something that I’ve never seen you do. You are on the borderline of lying about these situations and about your sons. I know your sons are dear to you, but maybe you’re too close to this, and you need to let some others come in and help you. I’m just coming from my heart—these are not notes right now. The sermon that I’m going to preach, I do have some notes. I want to stay on point. But all of your COEBA preachers need to rise up. If you saw any signs—if Michael, who I know saw some signs—y’all need to come clean. If you knew anything about Kenny messing with children—pedophile, they call them; the young people call the pedophile PDF, Lord have mercy, I just heard that this past week. The young people are talking—I’m talking about the social media young people, Gen X, Millennials—they are talking into the camera with a straight face, and they’re not playing. They’re calling Kenny Baldwin a pedophile.

You need to put some godly men in between you and Kenny Baldwin. I know you love your son. You will always love your son. And Michael too, who went to jail for fraud regarding almost a million dollars regarding the Miracle Mansion thing. I know your heart is broken. I know that this can be disillusioning. No wonder you’re preaching on Job—you may feel like Job right now. Let some other people deal with Kenny Baldwin because, as I have said, I have never seen independent Baptists so broken and so upset. Not even when Jackie Boy Howells did his foolishness and his son-in-law did his foolishness. People are crying and weeping. I guess it’s because he was a minister primarily to the young people. The young people just loved him. White people, thousands of white people loved or loved Kenny Baldwin.

So do not lie about this, Dr. Lou Baldwin. I know you’re a little bit older than me, but we’re in the same category. I have to say that to you. Do not cover for these boys. Stop calling them pastor. They’re not pastors anymore. Michael could possibly be restored, but it’s going to be rough. This message that I’m preaching today is making it perfectly clear. You have done some initial firing and getting him out of the ministry at the church. But many people sense—and I sense—that there is a recovery deal afoot, and people don’t want to see that. Nobody wants a pedophile pastor. Nobody. The independent Baptists definitely don’t because they’re cussing mad. I’m talking about young people. I know you’re mad, and we all ought to be mad at Kenny for this foolishness. We love him. We all want to love him and pray for him. Some people don’t even want to pray for him.

But you need to make it clear—your church needs to make it clear, all independent fundamental Baptist, white and Black, including the Black COEBA pastors who have benefited from your wisdom and knowledge and skill, Dr. Lou Baldwin—all of you have to condemn this. No matter how gifted he is, he cannot enter back into that pulpit or any other pulpit on earth. Since he has admitted to sending penis pics to a 15-year-old boy, that’s a double abominational whammy. First of all, you’re violating and molesting a child. And then this is homosexuality. This is homosexuality, and that just ought not to be.

Kenny has one of the best wives in the church. Not only do I know you, I know Michael Burrish and his wife. You know and I know she looks just like her mother. She was a little girl who I called Martha—no more than three or four or five years old—when I first met Bethany. I’m so proud of her. For her to be in the midst of this is tragic. This is beyond adultery. Lou Baldwin, I want you and your wife to take care of Bethany and do whatever you can to get her out of this mess because there are people online accusing her of knowing about this.

The title of this message is “Pedophiles.” Normally, to protect myself legally, I would say “allegedly,” but he has admitted to this. Pedophiles—Dr. Kenny Baldwin. Pedophiles—Kenny Baldwin. Robert Morris or no other pedophile pastor can ever be restored to the gospel preaching ministry and/or restored to the pulpit, period, full stop.

A subtitle that I have chosen: Young people who are former members of Kenny Baldwin’s former church are pleading with the leadership of this church where Kenny Baldwin used to be the pastor—that includes Pastor Meredith Lou Baldwin and the leadership of Crossroads Baptist Church—not to restore Kenny Baldwin ever, as they truly fear and believe in great sincerity that they are trying to restore this pedophile monster as pastor.

The Holy Bible reads: “But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew Chapter 18, Verse 6. And yes, even as the little girl said this past week, that’s from the King James Version.

Number One: The Sacred Charge

Christ Himself stands guard over the little ones. Matthew chapter 18, verses 1 through 6 and verse 10. When the disciples asked the Lord Jesus who was greatest in the kingdom of heaven, He called a little child unto Him and set him in the midst of them.

Lord, have mercy. My, my, my.

Everybody all right? I praise the Lord that Sister Bliss, who is one of the hardest-working women in America, is still hanging in there. Mrs. White is still hanging in there with us, but she’s taking catnaps, so pray for her.

When the disciples asked the Lord Jesus who was greatest in the kingdom of heaven, pardon me, He called a little child. Who knows? The little child could have been 15 years old. Who knows? I think of a little child as four or five. But he could have been 12, 13, 14, or 15. Kenny Baldwin said the kid acted so mature he was confused.

He called a little child unto him and set him in the midst of them. Think of it—the Son of the living God with a child standing at His side. He looked His preachers in the eye and said, “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones, Kenny Baldwin, which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Jesus, Sister Bliss, said those words. Only Jesus could have said words like that. I mean, I can’t imagine anybody else in history who could have made up something like that and said something like that. Those are angry words, but they’re good words. “Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and that he would drown in the depth of the sea.”

Kenny Baldwin, that’s how Jesus feels about what you did.

And by the way, for you people out here talking about “he fell” and “he fell into sin”—Kenny Baldwin didn’t fall into sin. He calculated this and walked into it with his eyes wide open. That’s right. You people are saying stupid things like, “If it were not for the grace of God, there go I.” Are you kidding me? There go I sending a penis pic to a 15-year-old child?

See, here’s the problem. This is what I have told people for years: if you even are thinking about a child—even if you think about a child, you think about doing something like that—you have never been called by God to preach. I don’t know who called you. The devil called you. We don’t have temptations with no child, man. No, no, no. Normal, wicked, evil, sinful, lost people don’t have a temptation with a child, you devils.

I don’t know what some of you pastors—I know I love you, but you got a loving pastor’s heart. I give that to you. Some of y’all love too much. Like Bishop, my dad, Bishop Daniel Whyte III. You get messed up in your head. “Well, we have weaknesses and temptations, and sometimes we fall into things that we should not.” Abominations, man. Woman. No.

If you are tempted with a child, if you are tempted with a man and you’re another man and you’re a man yourself, and you’re tempted with the man, or you are tempted with your natural born sister or daughter or son or anything like that—no, no, no. You are not called to preach. You have never been called by God because He knows your thoughts.

So, no, I don’t want to ever hear that again. “Well, we have our weaknesses. We have our temptations.” No, no, no, buddy. I don’t want to see you—not only do I not want to see you in a ministry, I don’t want to see you as a CEO or nothing else if you’re looking at a child and you are tempted with a child. Or if you’re a man, you’re tempted with a man. Or you are in a family, including a stepfamily, and you’re tempted with the child in the family. The devil is a lie. You have never been called by God to preach. And you need to make a decision not to get in the ministry.

So I don’t want to hear that anymore. That’s foolishness. And you pastors who have been given the gift of love for people and the care for people—if you’re thinking like that, you don’t need to be in the ministry.

When people have weaknesses in people, they yield to their flesh. Not that—no, no, not those things. No, sir. There’s no temptation there for that. An abomination—you’re done if you’re thinking that way. You can’t go into the ministry or the teaching profession with that kind of mentality that you have a weakness for children. Negro, have you lost your mind? And I use “Negro” for Black and white people.

This is the most terrifying warning that ever fell from the lips of the gentle Savior, Jesus Christ. Most of us are like Jesus on that. You want to hook up with an adult woman? That’s a temptation, and we’ll pray for you. But you want to hook up with a child? We ready to kill you, whatever. We don’t care about that. People are so angry that one man said, “I will not even pray for this man.” Don’t come here talking about praying for Kenny Baldwin. And I would include Robert Morris. Mm-mm.

People will kill you, man, for messing with their children like that. And I’m one. Lord have mercy, man. You better pray and give your soul to Jesus if you touch one of my children when they were little and young growing up. I will kill you graveyard dead. That’s a fact. And be glad to go to jail. Mm-mm.

Jesus did not speak this way about tax collectors or Roman soldiers or even the woman taken in adultery. He reserved the millstone language for those who harm children. Lord have mercy. Jesus was not playing. He was stepping. And to have a preacher sending penis pics, grooming a child, and showing his penis to a child—he’ll never forget. Every time a preacher tries to witness to him, he’ll be thinking about a penis. Lord, have mercy. My God, my God, help us.

The word “offend” here means to cause to stumble, Mrs. White, to entrap, to ensnare, to hinder. It means to cause to stumble, to entrap, to gloom, to ensnare. And what is a predator who uses the ministry, who uses the pulpit, who uses the King James Bible, uses a sermon, using his gift to speak of all things as his weapon to hunt little children? Jesus is going to get you.

My Independent Baptist Brethren, my Southern Baptist Brethren—many of you know I have a book out right now titled The Evangelical Files with all of my commentaries on stories of pastors raping children, grooming children, sending penis pics. And you say, “Well, Preacher, that sounds so harsh and so close to saying something ungodly like ‘dick pics.’” I’m not saying that on purpose because it’s not appropriate. But a penis is a biological term. That’s what he’s doing. That’s what he has done. And then he did it in person. He does not deserve to be in a pulpit—not even in a jail pulpit. He needs to go to jail. He needs to go to prison for this.

Trying to set a snare for a little lamb, a little child of God. Jesus was not playing. He got a child. I want you to know what I’m talking about here. I’m not talking about a child of God. I’m talking about a little child—be they a child of God or not. This 15-year-old boy evidently was a child of God. Saved. 15 years old. And somehow this man got in his mind from the devil to show his penis. I mean, listen to me. Listen to me. You’ve got to be one sick puppy to take a camera and point it to your penis and send it to somebody. You have lost your doggone mind.

It’s not some temptation. “Oh, we all struggle with it.” No, we don’t. No, we don’t. Now, I may struggle with a fat, PHAT, fine, beautiful woman just like any man. Tell the truth and shame the devil. But no, we don’t have temptations about a child, man. No kind of child. And I’ve never had a temptation for a man in no way, shape, form, or fashion. See, there’s some things you don’t even think. They’re not a weakness. They’re not a temptation at all.

You are a preacher. You ought to be sensitive about what other people. No, I’m not sensitive about that—abominations. Listen to me. When you got a beautiful wife and four children from that wife, what do you need with a 15-year-old boy miles away? What kind of perversion are you trying to satisfy?

So good to see you, Sister Gypsy Heart. May God bless you. This is a different kind of service today.

Notice, beloved, Jesus said it would be better for such a man to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Better than what? Better than facing what awaits him at the judgment seat of Christ or the great white throne judgment. Let me pull that back. I don’t think you’re going to the judgment seat of Christ. I believe you’re going to the great white throne judgment. You’re lost and on your way to a devil’s hell. I don’t care how good you can preach. You are a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Better than facing what awaits him at the great white throne judgment of God. “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones. For I say unto you that in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.” Every child has heaven’s attention because God loves all the little children of the world—red, yellow, black, and white. We’re all precious in God’s sight.

Have I ever told you about I had a teacher in our school, Gospel Light House of Prayer International? She was a professional teacher, and we started a Christian school, and she was the anchor. I was passing by the class one day, and she’s in there teaching the children that song, which I love—”All the children of the world, red, yellow, black, and white, we’re all precious in God’s sight.” I love to hear it, especially the little children singing it. But then she wanted to add a word. She wanted to add another color. She wanted to add brown. When I heard that and the children were having confusion and it wasn’t rhyming, I walked in the classroom and I had to put my foot down. I said, “Dr. Weston, listen, let me talk with you for a minute. This is a classic song that the children know and like to sing. Why are you trying to add brown—red, yellow, black, brown, and white?” Mrs. White was there. So what is that all about? “Well, I want the people to know that we’re brown.” Listen, later for brown. That’s what I told her. She got mad at me. And this is how the devil starts stuff in church. I’m the pastor of the church, and she’s in there trying to teach the children a song that does not exist. She’s trying to throw brown in them. We already got black. I think that’ll cover it. And she’s in there talking about trying to teach the children another word that she wants in it. I said, “No.” I put my foot down and I said, “No, Dr. Weston, you can’t add the word ‘brown.’” And she was mad as fire over nothing. But I said what I said and I meant what I said. That’s a little lighter moment, ladies and gentlemen, in a very serious matter.

Every child has heaven’s attention. Red, yellow, black, and white—we’re all precious in God’s sight. You know what I have added recently, Dr. Lou Baldwin? We know that we’re precious in God’s sight because Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose on the third day.

Every child has heaven’s attention when a man in clergy’s clothing touches a child in wickedness. A child, not a grown woman. I can help you if you did that. I can try to help you recover from that. Pray for you. Have no problems praying for you with that because that’s a common temptation. God made women very beautiful. And as the Duck Dynasty old man said, “There’s a whole lot right there.”

What in the world do you want a man for? A child for, man? See, this is what God hates. People are not content with what they have. You get into sin. This is what God hates. Sin would take you further than you wanted to go, keep you longer than you wanted to stay, make you pay more than you wanted to pay.

See, if you’re born again and saved, you’ll learn how to be content with what you have. But you look at pornography, you look at the strangeness and the wickedness on pornography, you’re not satisfied with your fat PHAT wife anymore. Now you want a man—a stinking, ugly man. All men are ugly and bony and stink and are nasty. You say, “Preacher, how do you know that?” Because I’m a man myself. What do you want with some bony, hairy, ugly, stinking, nasty man? Have you lost your mind? And then after you done had that—see, this is the progression of sin. Sin would take you further than you want it to go, keep you longer than you want it to stay, and make you pay more than you want it to pay.

Now it’s time to pay, Kenny Baldwin. Your dad ain’t got nothing to do with this. Do not bring him into this. Up here talking about you want to submit yourself to your father. I’m sure there was a time as the pastor of the church, he let you be the pastor of the church. You didn’t want to submit to him. You did things your way. Don’t bring your father into it now, please, okay? Let your father enjoy his latter days. You’re bringing him down to his death, boy. You’re bringing your father down to his grave with this damnable foolishness you done done, man.

You’ve broken the hearts of young people. I saw a white lady—young white lady, beautiful white lady. And I don’t care if y’all like it or not, because I said she’s beautiful. She is beautiful. And she said she used to love Kenny Ball—she said that he was a Black man, mind you, my favorite preacher. Her heart is broken. She almost broke up in tears, and she warned her audience, “Don’t follow Kenny Baldwin again.” That’s what she said. A white, well-to-do, young woman—that’s what she said. That’s how young people across this country—and around, well, across the country—are feeling about this whole thing. They’re all messed up.

When a man in clergyman’s clothing touches a child in evil and wickedness, he is not merely committing a crime against the state of Pennsylvania or the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is committing an outrage against the throne of God. He is committing an abomination against the throne of God. And you will pay because God does not play.

Now I ask you plainly: shall the church hand the millstone-deserving man a microphone behind the sacred desk? I say no. Ever, never shall we place back into the shepherd’s hand the very staff he used to strike the little lambs, the little children. God forbid. The one who set the child in the midst has already ruled on this matter. And His ruling is final.

Closing Prayer and Remarks:

Holy Father God, I praise you and thank you for your holy word that has made it very clear and very plain, as always. I thank you, Lord, for men such as Dr. Lou Baldwin, who understood the principle a long time ago that we solve problems as Bible-believing Baptists through the preaching of the word. We deal with issues through the preaching of your word, for your holy word covers every issue and everything.

Holy Father God, I pray for Dr. Lew Baldwin that he will not allow his son that he did his best with to bring him down to his grave. Help him to understand that his legacy is intact by your grace and that he needs to go on and let other people deal with his son that he loves so much. It’s going to be rough.

Holy Father God, we pray for the salvation and the healing of that little boy who has been through hell with a so-called preacher. Rebuke and bind the devil, his demons, and his hosts from his mind and from his life.

Lord, let your will be done in Kenny Baldwin’s life and in Michael Baldwin’s life—two sons who have failed you, have failed Jesus, have failed their father, have failed the setup their father provided for them, and have failed the church and young people across this nation and in the church.

Lord, have the power of your Holy Ghost to fall. For you said it is not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord. We are weak and feeble. Only you can rectify this situation if—and Lord, I pray that we as human beings would do our part. Save that soul that is near as hell. Reclaim the backslidden. Revive the saved. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray and forsake. Amen.

Dear friend of mine, if you do not know the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ, the only perfect One—praise the Lord, Sister Bliss. Thank you for your gifts to God and Jesus Christ. Sister Gypsy Heart, thank you for your gifts to God and Jesus Christ. 112, thank you for your amens and your comments and your gifts as well. To God be the glory.

Now, ladies and gentlemen, that’s just the beginning. You just got three parts of a sermon. The first part was basically a history of the Black independent Baptist movement that just came from my heart and from memory—no notes. Then you got the official introduction, and that was a sermon within itself. Then you got the first point of the sermon. I have two more points and a conclusion. Later on today, if the Lord tarries and God gives me the strength, I’ll preach at least another point.

These are my people. I love them. I want the best for them. And I have to tell the truth to them just like I did.

If you’re here with us today and you have never truly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, Jesus Christ said it first and best. In fact, Jesus Christ said the most loving words, the most powerful words, and the most important words in the history of the world. He said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Understand that you are a wicked and evil sinner because the Bible says so. We all have sin and come short of the glory of God. Number two, understand that you’re going to die because of your sins. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. And thirdly, understand as sure as I’m Black and my last name is White, you’re going to hell. You’re going to the lake of fire, and you will suffer there throughout eternity if you do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So believe in your heart that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. Pray and ask Him to save you. Follow me in the sinner’s prayer.

Kenny Baldwin, you can pray this prayer with me as well:

Holy Father God, have mercy and grace upon my soul. Please forgive me of all of my sins as I now believe in you, Lord Jesus Christ. I believe in you that you suffered, bled, and died, who was buried and rose on the third day. Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in you. Please come into my heart and into my spirit and save my soul from the burning hell. Fill me with your Holy Spirit. And help me to change. Help me to repent of my sins. And help me to follow you in the newness of life. In Jesus Christ’s name I pray and for His sake. Amen.

God bless you, dear friends. Until next time. Please pray for me as I pray for thee.

Pray for Dr. Lou Baldwin. Pray for his wife if she is still living—last I heard she was very sick. Pray for his wife. Pray for the molested child in Pennsylvania. Pray for the police and the investigators. Contrary to what people think, police and sheriff’s departments do not want to really deal with church mess. They really don’t. But they have to, unfortunately.

Pray for everybody involved and pray and ask God to protect your children and everybody’s children. It’s sad to say that you’ve got to tell people to watch your children in church. I’ve already told you I wouldn’t take my children to these churches today. You’d be better off joining a church. All of these churches, including Crossroads Baptist Church, Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia, they all have online church. When they start church, they go live, and you can participate with your children sitting beside you on the couch eating some pancakes in some pajamas.

I don’t know why you want to go out there and put them in a nursery when you don’t know what kind of perverted preachers are there, perverted women who work in the nursery are there who don’t care for you. I don’t know what’s wrong with you people. I don’t know why you think strangers are going to care for your bad children better than you. I don’t understand it. I wouldn’t leave my child with anybody.

You say, “Preacher, did you ever leave your child in the day care center?” Not on your life. I never put my child in the day care center. The little child nursery we had for the church, Mrs. White was there. She was watching whatever children were in there. If we were visiting the church, we didn’t put our children in the nursery. No, sir. They stayed right with us on the pew like they used to do in the old Black church. Listen to the old Sherman tapes back in the 60s and 70s. The pastor’s preaching, and you may hear a baby cry. You know how they stop crying? The mother would pinch them and then give them some juicy fruit gum. That’s how they trained us to sit up in church. Or spearmint gum. Pinch them on the butt. Gum. That’s it. No more crying.

You keep your children with you. I’m telling you—I’m not suggesting that to you in this day and time. Stop trying to dump your children on other people. That little 18-year, 20-year period with your children—that’s going to be gone in like 18 minutes. You better spend every minute with your child. If God blesses you with a child, you spend every minute with them because once they go off to war or military or college or whatever, that’s it. You can’t get those days back.

Some of y’all just want to go and get in the mix and get in the wind and see if you can hook up with somebody and all this kind of mess at church. That’s not what church is made for. That’s not what you ought to be doing at church.

Some of you people can’t stay home because you don’t have any peace in your life or in your home. You want to go somewhere just to be in the place and be in the wind and be in the midst. That’s wonderful, and that was wonderful back in the day. You can still go to church today online, and I recommend it highly for young families. If you can go to church and protect yourself, go. But your children can’t protect themselves. You dump them over in patch the pirate and other such foolishness, Awanas. You can teach them the Bible at home. You can have Awanas at home. You don’t need to go out there. But these children with the blue hair and the purple hair and the green hair—you don’t know where these people are coming from.

God bless you. Everybody pray for me as I pray for thee. Pray for Dr. Lou Baldwin. He’s a good man. He did the best he could. And he loves his children though, and he doesn’t want to see them destroyed. I understand that. But for these two boys, it’s too late. It’s over.

Pray for everybody involved, especially the victims. What I’m hearing, more victims are coming out regarding Kenny Baldwin.

Remember this, dear friends. Remember the motto of the Marines—Semper Fidelis—be always faithful. Be always faithful to the Lord in this case. Remember the motto of the Space Force and the Air Force—Semper Supra—always above. Keep your heart and mind, stay on the Lord above, and He will keep you in perfect peace.

God bless you, dear friends. Until next time, God loves you. Jesus Christ loves you. And I love you because and only because of the love of God—I know you don’t understand this—because of the love of God shed abroad in my heart. By the way, I don’t have any romantic love for Mrs. White, who is here right now—I have erotic love for her. I have God’s unconditional love for her. That’s basically what the love is in a marriage that will keep a marriage together for 40 years.

I know some of you all are shocked and you just can’t stand it, but you’re not married. So don’t get mad at me and you’re not married. I get tickled at people who are not married, never been married, or they’re divorced, yet they want to tell me—a man who’s been married for 40 years almost—how to run my marriage. I get tickled. I just get so tickled. I don’t even say anything to them. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

It is the God-kind of love that will keep your marriage together. Holy matrimony is a beautiful thing. It’s a blessing from God Almighty in every sense of the phrase. You need to, in the words of Dr. Lou Baldwin, “stay in the ship.” Stay in the ship of your marriage. Family is the first institution, and it’s a beautiful thing. Don’t be out here running around after strange meat, strange flesh. Stay in your marriage and love the one you’re with. I mean, even the world knows that—love the one you’re with. Be content with what God blessed you with. Get all of your satisfaction from that one person. You don’t need to be out here doing what the pornography producers are telling you to do.

I love you with the God-kind of love. That’s a sincere love. I’m telling you the truth. I don’t have any personal love for you. I’m telling you the truth. As sinners, we don’t love people like that. You got to be born again saved to get the God-kind of love for people. Even people you don’t like, God will give you the ability to love people and forgive people and pray for people and try to help people. You hear me?

I love you like that. God bless you, dear friends. Pray for me. If I am able, pray that God gives me the strength to come back today. If not, Lord willing, I’ll see you tomorrow.

Praise the Lord, Sister Bliss, Sister Gypsy Heart, thank you all so much. We had a number of people to take this live to hundreds of other people and maybe thousands, with over 4,700 with us. We give God the glory, praise, and honor.

Have a wonderful morning and afternoon. I can’t believe it’s still morning time. I’ve been preaching for over three hours, I think. Why? Because this is something that has to be said now. I don’t want anybody to be deceived thinking that Kenny Baldwin can get back into a pulpit. We got some folk trying to put this boy back into a pulpit. God forbid. That’s going to hurt even more millions, thousands and millions of people. If they find out that a pedophile has been allowed to get back into any pulpit anywhere, I’m telling all pastors—I don’t care how much you love Kenny Baldwin—do not let him preach in your pulpit, period. Period. Period. Don’t do that. You’re going to hurt the cause of Christ, Independent Baptist.

Lord willing, I’ll see you later. Glory be to God, everybody!

He has preached the Gospel and the Word of God to millions of people around the world with the help of the internet, preaching live and on-demand multiple times a day for over eight years, to this very day. His mottoes are “Crying in the Wilderness,” “Exiled on the Isle of Patmos,” and “Preaching the Gospel by any means necessary,” all for the glory of God and Jesus Christ.

Daniel Whyte III is the president of the over-40-year-old Gospel Light Evangelistic Society International and the over-37-year-old Gospel Light House of Prayer International. He is known worldwide as the prophet who predicted the Coronavirus Plague over 10 years before it hit in recorded preaching and writing. God also led him to guide thousands through the Coronavirus Plague that killed over 20 million people because of the sins in the Judas-Laodicean church.

Daniel Whyte III’s greatest blessing in this life is his “quiver full” of 10 children—Daniella (Danni), Daniel IV, Danita Evangeline, Danae Mary-Louise, Daniqua Grace, Danyel Ezekiel, Danyelle Elizabeth Breedlove, Danielle Tekeela, Duran-Daniel, and the first Daniel IV (deceased and in heaven with the Lord)—along with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Daniel Whyte III has been unblissfully but sexually satisfyingly married to his first and only wife, Meriqua Whyte of Christiana, Jamaica, for over 37 years since December 19, 1987. Jesus Christ said: “And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” Even though many evangelicals, charismatics, and Protestants try to act as if these words of Jesus Christ are not a reality in our modern Christianity—primarily because of the Satanic-driven prosperity gospel and an over-positive philosophy, which is a lie not based in reality or biblical truth—the words of Jesus Christ are true for every person who preaches the Gospel. The outcomes of the Gospel are a changed life and opposition from family, lukewarm Christians, Laodicean-Judas pastors and churches, the world, and the devil. This is a reality in our present evil world.

While Daniel Whyte III thoroughly enjoys his married life because he did not allow his wife to have her way at any point and was and is solidly and biblically the head of his household throughout the marriage—often quoting Joshua, “As for me and my house, we’re going to serve the Lord” “up in here!”—and because his wife never failed in the very important area of sex, which he got married for in the first place to avoid sinning against God, he has especially enjoyed the privilege and joy of raising his children in the Lord virtually by himself. He served the Lord with them every day of their lives, from the time they were born until they graduated from college, became adults, and moved on.

However, his wife, Meriqua Whyte—motivated by Satan, with a Pharaoh-style pride mixed with the well-known female Jamaican-style pride, stubbornness, rebelliousness, and witchcraft—has been his greatest Judas enemy in the world and has been what Paul spoke of: a “messenger of Satan” and a “thorn in the flesh.” Amazingly, and by the grace of God, that Satanic evil opposition has spurred Daniel Whyte III on to preach the Gospel probably more times than any man on record. God has honored him because he did not “hearken to the voice of his wife.” Whyte tells other Christian men to only hearken to the voice of God and Jesus Christ—not to their wives, as so many thousands of church men have been taught by pastors and other older men throughout the years. Remember, we are in this worldwide, multi-generational mess because Adam hearkened to the voice of his wife and not to the voice of God.

Before they were married, Daniel Whyte III told his wife Meriqua Whyte that they would not do family life as her parents did, because their married life was hellacious and ended in divorce, as did some of her other family members, including the aunt she was living with. He also told his wife they would not do family life as his parents did, because it was also hellacious and out of order since his mother was the head of the household, not his father. But thanks be to God, they never got a divorce. Whyte told his wife before they got married that they were going to do it God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6, or no way at all. And then he asked his wife, “Are you willing to do marriage God’s way according to Ephesians chapters 5 and 6?” And she said yes. Whyte told her before they got married that if she did not live up to her end of the deal, all bets were off.

Because Daniel Whyte III’s wife, Meriqua Whyte, was so proud, unsubmissive, stubborn, and rebellious after they got married, God led him to read Ephesians chapters 5 and 6 every day in their family devotions throughout their marriage. In the first year of their marriage, Daniel Whyte III also gave his wife a list of verses for women from the Word of God for her to read, which she still reads to this day. He also bought her many books to read to help her be the wife God wanted her to be.

Whyte realized early in the marriage that his wife was not a born-again, saved person even though she lied and said she was before they got married. After over 37 years of marriage, she is still not saved, never bearing any fruit of a saved person, to the point of not even wanting to tell her children, “I love you” and not wanting to hug them when they were little children, even after her husband told her to do so. She also hated the daily family devotions that her husband led and tried to hinder them. She also demonically hated and tried to hinder every Gospel preaching service to this very day.

However, only by the grace of God, they are still married, and despite the devil constantly working through his wife to try to hinder him from preaching the Word of God, he is still preaching the Gospel and the Word of God live and on-demand. His ministry reaches over 148,800 people per month with over 21,000 unique views per month, reaching 149 countries, preaching the Gospel and the Word of God in 2 to 3 services a day, 7 days a week. Glory be to God!

Mrs. Meriqua Whyte’s Apology to her Husband and Their 7 Children for not Being a Biblical Wife or Mother

Mrs. Meriqua Whyte, the Wife of Daniel Whyte III, Gave him the Best Father’s Day Gift Ever About 10 Years Ago When She Unexpectedly and Voluntarily Apologized for the First Time to Him and Their 7 Children for Not Being the Wife, Mother, and Christian Example of the Woman She Should Have Been Over the Past 37 Years of Marriage

Here is what Mrs. Meriqua Whyte wrote ten years ago after verbally apologizing to the entire family on Father’s Day, right before church service:

Over thirty years of marriage. Over thirty years of ups and downs. Over thirty years of trying to make our problems a personal thing between my husband and me. Thankfully, he did not allow me to do that and kept telling me it was between God and me—over thirty years of acting on my feelings and not on what the Bible says. Over thirty years of refusing to obey God’s simple command to a wife—to be obedient to your husband in all things. Over thirty years of disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty, all rooted in pride. Over thirty years of simply not choosing to mature as a Christian.

God has been dealing with me for over thirty years now about changing my attitude and behavior as a wife, which has manifested itself in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, dishonesty, having an ungodly attitude and spirit, and simply not being the wife, mother, or example of a Christian woman that I should have been throughout the years. (By the way, for those of you who may be thinking that my disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, lying, and dishonesty have resulted in adultery, I will say here that I have never committed any adultery or had sex with another man besides my husband, Daniel Whyte III, since I was born.)

God kept telling me I needed to stop my rebellious and stubborn behavior, apologize to my husband and children, and get my heart right with him, my husband, and my children. He sent others my way to tell me how to behave:

  • My husband, but I didn’t want to hear it from him
  • Other Christian women speakers
  • Other preachers
  • Books and other materials, but I would not take heed

I knew what to do, but I chose not to do it. The devil had me thinking and believing—as he is having a lot of wives and mothers think and believe—that your relationship with your husband and how you respond to him, whether positive or negative, will not affect your relationship with your children or your relationship with God. I say without hesitation that this is one of the devil’s lies, and sad to say, many wives and mothers are falling for this lie.

Another lie of the devil that Christian wives are falling for is that you can still have a strong relationship with God without being submissive to your husband. Lie! Lie! Lie! There is no truth to this. I know because I have experienced this and am still experiencing this as I am going through this breaking process, which is not happening overnight.

Even throughout my years of rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride, I still kept praying the prayer I used to pray daily before I got married: “Lord, make me be exactly what You want me to be. Lord, break, make, and mold me into what you want me to be.” Well, God took that prayer seriously, and once you accept Him, He will begin the breaking process. It’s up to us how long that breaking process will take. For me, sad to say, it has taken over 30 years, and the breaking is not complete. In what way is God breaking me down right now? Well, our children have grown up. The three oldest have gone through and are still going through college, have gotten their degrees, and some are working on their second, third, and fourth degrees, launching their careers and moving out. God slapped me into reality and truly intensified the breaking process. My husband told me before our first child was born and repeatedly while the children were young that my job was to love our children and make positive memories with them and that if I did that, I would have a wonderful relationship with them as adults in the time to come. Well, I disobeyed God and my husband, who did not let up on his duties. And he has a wonderful relationship with our children, even the girls, and I don’t. However, God led me to finally break the day before Father’s Day, and while I was helping my husband get dressed to preach, I asked him if I could apologize to him and the entire family. That’s the first time I ever did that on my own. Throughout the years, he has always told me that I needed to get my heart right with God, him, and my children; otherwise, I would never have the joy and peace of the Lord in my life. However, I kept on lying and denying that I was the problem.

Here is what I said to my husband and children on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, the day before Father’s Day. My husband told the entire family that this was the best Father’s Day gift I have ever given to him:

“Daddy, children, I apologize for not being the wife, mother, and example of a Christian woman I should have been throughout the years. I have shown nothing but pride, disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and a bad attitude and spirit toward God and my husband in front of you. My disobedience and rebelliousness have caused much unnecessary unrest and upheaval in the family. As my husband told me, things could have gone much better if I had obeyed God’s word from the beginning. Please accept my apology, and I am asking you to forgive me.”

The diminishing of peace and joy in my life throughout the years I brought on myself. Not having a proper relationship with God, my husband, and my children, I brought on myself—all because I chose the disobedient route. My number one desire is to live a life of peace—peace with God, my husband, and my children. I have learned that peace will not come as long as I live in disobedience, rebelliousness, stubbornness, and pride.

I will end this with two notes: (1) Happy Father’s Day to my husband: you have been a great husband and father. (2) Happy Children’s Day to my children: You all have been great children. I have no complaints whatsoever against my husband and, of course, children; you have never been at fault. My bad behavior is all on me, and I’m sorry I put you through this. May God bless your lives, and I love you.

Ephesians 5:22 – 6:20 (KJV)

Below is the passage in the Bible that Daniel Whyte III read in their family devotions every day for decades. It covers the biblical duties of the husband, the wife, and the children, and includes how to fight against the devil who is seeking to destroy the family.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

The Gospel in a Nutshell

If you were to die today, where would you go: Heaven or Hell? If you’re not sure, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.”

Jesus Christ said the most important words ever spoken in the history of the world when He said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

The Most Important Question in the World: Have You Been Twice Born?

This is the “Chief of sinners,” Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International, with the Gospel Light Minute X Podcast #447, titled, “The Big Question.” I’m here to remind you of what the Bible says: that “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners” like you and me.

“Have You Been Born Again?”

The question is not, “Have you joined a church?” or “Are you trying to do your best?” or “Do you have religion?” but, “Are you twice-born?” Jesus Christ said in John 3:3, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

We enter the physical world by birth. Spiritual life, likewise, is entered with a birth. We become members of a human family by birth; we become members of the family of God by birth, by being “born again.” There is no other way to get into the human family except by birth, and there is no other way to get into God’s family except by the new birth. Neither education, nor cultivation, nor reformation, nor “turning over a new leaf,” will accomplish this. What is needed is not a new “leaf” but a new “life”! “Ye must be born again” (John 3:7).

A New Nature Needed

By physical birth, we become partakers of human nature; by being born again, we become “partakers of the divine nature.” A Christian is the product of a divine “begetting.” The second birth is not an improvement of the old nature; it is the imparting of an entirely new nature. The old nature is hopelessly corrupt and incapable of ever being made fit for His presence. The new birth requires a creative act of the Holy Spirit. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.”

Not “Trying” But “Trusting”

“Trying to follow Christ” is not Christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ; it is the indwelling of Christ. Christianity is not trying to do anything. It is trusting Christ, who has done it all! He has “finished the work,” and there is nothing left to do but simply to receive and trust Him. He shed His precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done once and forever! Cease trying and begin trusting! Believers will progressively become more and more like Christ, but by His power, not their own.

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

Simply “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible says in 1 John 5:1, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” The Bible states in John 1:12-13, “As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

You are born again, you become a Christian by trusting a Person—receiving a Person. The very moment you do this, the Lord Jesus Christ comes in and life begins!

What Is Meant By “Believe”?

To “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ” means more than simply believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about Christ is not sufficient. The belief that brings salvation must be “with the heart,” that is, with the whole being. This belief also includes repentance: “Repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” The Bible states in Acts 17:30, “God… now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.”

The faith which saves, then, includes the necessity to repent and to receive Christ as Savior and Lord, to rest upon Him alone for salvation. It means to trust Him so utterly and completely that, if He should fail, there would be no hope at all!

May I Know That I Am Born Again?

This is an important question. We know that we are born again by the testimony of God’s Word. God says in John 5:24, “He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” Have you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ as explained by God’s Word? If so, then you are saved, you are “born again,” you have “passed from death unto life.” God says so! Take God at His Word, and go on your way rejoicing!

One Final Word

You may “belong to a church,” you may be “trying to do the best you can,” you may be “striving to live right.” Your outward life may be the model of moral correctness, and you may be looked up to, honored, revered, and respected. Yet, if you have not been “born again,” you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ. Yes, you may teach in the Sunday school, read the Bible, sing, shout, “feel happy,” and all the rest—but if you have never been “born again,” you are still in your sins and a stranger to the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you want to be saved from the wrath to come and from an eternity in Hell, and if you believe that Jesus Christ suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead, and you are willing to trust Jesus Christ with all of your heart so you can go to Heaven, please pray with me what is called the sinner’s prayer:

Holy Father God, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and I admit that I have sinned against You and that I have broken Your Ten Commandments. I have lied before. I have stolen things before. I have lusted after people and things before. I have dishonored and disobeyed my parents. I have taken Your holy Name in vain. For Jesus Christ’s sake, please have mercy and grace upon my soul and forgive me of all of my sins, my failures, and my faults. As I now believe in Your Holy Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He suffered, bled, and died on the cross for my sins, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and help me to repent of my sins past. Help me to turn from my old, evil life and follow You in the new life. For it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.
