The Clemson Tigers football team was honored by President Trump at the White House’s South Lawn on Monday afternoon for the team’s second championship win in its 121-year-old history.

Guests included Republican lawmakers from South Carolina such as Sens. Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham. Newly elected South Carolina Gov. Leave it to Donald Trump to reinvent the Cabinet meeting.

The public portion of these gatherings of all of the president’s top advisers are usually staid affairs. Photographers are let in to take pictures. The president makes a very brief statement. A reporter shouts a question, unanswered. The end.
