Melania Trump, Barron Trump move into White House

With a single tweet on Sunday evening, Melania Trump made it official: the White House is no longer operating with a first lady in absentia. FLOTUS has moved in.

“Looking forward to the memories we’ll make in our new home! #Movingday,” read the tweet, which featured a picture from inside the Executive Residence, past the Truman Balcony, overlooking the South Lawn. On what appeared to be a set dining room table, two tall, tapered candles in silver holders were lit.

Sun, June 11, 2017: Trump helps raise $800k for GOP and Rep. Tom MacArthur

President Trump headlined his first personal fundraiser Sunday afternoon on behalf of Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) at his National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., according to White House pool reports.

MacArthur played an important role in amending the House ObamaCare repeal-and-replace bill that ultimately helped it pass in the lower chamber.

The event was closed to the press, and White House aides reportedly remained tight-lipped about the event despite — the pool noted — past presidents previously allowing pool reporters to witness remarks at such closed-door events.
