Whyte says probably because of the 22 straight Mondays of fasting, his first week of the 40-day fast was the easiest first week of a 40-day fast ever and he hopes you had a similar experience. While you fast, pray about other things than what we are fasting about, for as Whyte shared with some people this past week, many positive things can happen during an extended time of prayer and fasting. For example, the Word of God says, “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” If you pray and fast with the right motive, all of these things can happen not only in your life but in the lives of others. Remember that God is OMNIPOTENT, OMNISCIENT, and OMNIPRESENT. God and Jesus do not need you to be at a certain place at a certain time because They are already there. He wants you to pray and fast for others and yourself because GOD CAN DO ANYTHING BUT FAIL.
