Christians and Muslim parents became co-belligerents at a rally yesterday outside several Canadian schools, gathering to participate in an Education over Indoctrination protest designed to end LGBTQ indoctrination in schools.
Tensions were heightened after leaked emails showed Superintendents at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board requesting that teachers and staff members start off the new school year by referring to ALL students with They/Them pronouns, without exception, until the students inform administrators what they want their pronouns to be.
The email further insists that “2SLGBTQ+ learning should be offered to the school community without the option to opt-out. It is essential to understand that human rights are not open to debate or selective participation” and that the ideology should “be embedded in the overall learning environment.”
The increased presence of Muslim protesters who were shouting ‘Leave our kids alone!” was likely a result of viral comments made by an Edmonton teacher who was captured berating Muslim students for not supporting and celebrating Pride month, saying: “Do you think it’s acceptable to not show up (to class) because you think there are some Pride activities going on at school?” and “we believe people can marry whoever they want. That is in law, and if you don’t think that should be the law, then you can’t be Canadian. You don’t belong here, and I mean it.”
At one event, protesters clashed, and children trampled on Pride flags, which is the good and proper response that all children should be taught to do.
