Daniel Whyte III, President of Gospel Light Society International, warns Conway Edwards of One Community Church in Plano/McKinney, Texas, do not let what happened to Karl Lentz and now Brian Houston happen to you, and that is getting fired from your church for one reason: supporting homosexuality and homosexuals as members in the church and not being strong and clear that homosexuals cannot be active members of the local church. Whyte warned Karl Lentz and Brian Houston publicly for years in writing and through preaching before they both had to resign under shameful circumstances. Conway Edwards, as you know, the man with the biggest and most powerful vision for the multi-campus church was Brian Houston, bar none — planting churches not only in Australia but around the world. However, here’s a news title coming out of Australia today, along with other news publications: “HILLSONG CHURCH NAMES NEW COUPLE TO REPLACE BRIAN HOUSTON AND HIS WIFE BOBBIE.”
Karl Lentz, the superstar pastor of the Hillsong Church in New York, not only lost his good name, he lost his ministry, and he lost everything because he wanted to be a HOMOSEXUAL-AFFIRMING PASTOR. And now, the worldwide campus church that Brian Houston started has been turned over to another man, meaning Brian Houston will never become the global pastor of that church again. Conway, don’t let the devil, don’t let Andy Stanley, don’t let your wife or anybody else turn you away from the truth of the Word of God. Listen to your pastor, Dr. Tony Evans, and do what you know is right. Besides all of that, from what Whyte understands, you are from Jamaica. If that is the case, you know Jamaica does not play that. Homosexuality is against the law in Jamaica. Do not disgrace your homeland and the Christians in Jamaica following Absalom -Judas Andy Stanley to absolute chaos, confusion, and hell.
Hillsong Church has named a married couple to head up its leadership in the wake of founder Brian Houston’s resignation as he fights accusations he concealed his late father’s child sexual abuse.
Interim leaders Phil and Lucinda Dooley were commissioned as global senior pastors at a morning service held in Sydney and streamed across Australia and internationally on Sunday.
Chairman Stephen Crouch told the congregation the Dooleys had a long history with the church, serving in many roles before dedicating the past 14 years of their lives to establishing Hillsong in South Africa.
“Each time they have applied themselves with diligence and excellence,” he said.
“They will lead our church with grace and wisdom.”
The appointment follows a year of significant change for Hillsong including the implementation of recommendations from independent reviews of both the governance structure and the process for complaints against credentialed pastors.
The Hillsong board has also been renewed and a spiritual advisory team created to work with its senior clergy.
Pastor Phil said during Sunday’s service he and his wife Lucinda resolved to “serve our global church family with humility of heart, love, and conviction that the church is the hope of the world”.
