The ‘broken’ family of the north London teenager, 19, who died in the arms of paramedics in the city’s latest stabbing tragedy, have paid tribute to the ‘good young man’ who ‘looked after his brothers and mum’.
Zasheem Kane Ontre Moses was fatally stabbed last night on Tottenham High Road, near Holcombe Market in the borough of Haringey.
Police were called at around 5.30pm to an altercation and found a victim suffering from stab injuries but there was also evidence of a firearm having been discharged.
Despite efforts from emergency services, he died a short time later.
Lesley Rose, Zasheem’s stepmother, told MyLondon : ‘Zasheem was one of five brothers, him being the second eldest at the young age of 19.
‘Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes in life, but Zasheem was a good young man. He looked after his brothers, his mum, friends and anybody.
‘He had his whole life ahead of him, and as a family and a community we are broken.
