Tennis star Emma Raducanu isn’t feeling the pressure following her early exit from Wimbledon on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old was ousted in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 by France’s Caroline Garcia during the second round of the tennis championships, another crushing exit on her home turf.
“There’s no pressure,” said Raducanu. “Like why is there any pressure? I’m still 19. Like, it’s a joke. I literally won a slam.”
“Yes, I have had attention. But I’m a slam champion, so no one’s going to take that away from me. Yeah, if anything, the pressure is on those who haven’t done that.”
Last year, she withdrew mid-match from Wimbledon during the fourth round due to breathing difficulties.
