According to the New York Post, Horrifying footage has captured the apparent moment a China Eastern Boeing 737 that was carrying 132 people fell from the sky and erupted into flames in southern China on Monday. The video — shared by local media — showed the plane nosediving towards the ground near the city of Wuzhou in the southern province of Guangxi in what Chinese officials say is the country’s worst air disaster in nearly a decade. The plane had been cruising at about 30,000 feet just moments before it suddenly started plunging vertically and crashed into remote mountains, sparking a blaze big enough to be seen on NASA satellite images, officials said. Separate footage showed heavy smoke and flames billowing from the crash site in the aftermath. Villagers also found debris from the plane scattered in the region, local media reported. There was no immediate word on the number of dead and injured, but the airline said it deeply mourned those on board. “The company expresses its sorrowful condolences to the passengers and crew members who died in this plane crash,” the airline said in a statement, CNN reported. The People’s Daily cited a rescue official as saying Flight 5735 had disintegrated upon crashing and there was no sign of life among the debris. There were no foreigners on the flight, which had been carrying 123 passengers and nine crew members, state TV reported, citing the airline.
The Holy War Against the Abomination of Homosexuality and All of the Evil It Has Produced in This Country Has Begun – Christian Satire Site The Babylon Bee Refuses to Delete Tweet Calling Transgender Person ‘Man of the Year’ and Says ‘Truth Is Not Hate Speech’ Despite Being Threatened With Permanent Ban by Twitter – Daniel Whyte III Says May God Help the Pastors Who Allowed This Damnable Foolishness to Happen in Our Country. According to Faithwire, Christian satire site The Babylon Bee is digging in its heels after being locked out of Twitter, refusing to delete a tweet that purportedly violated the social media giant’s terms of service. The stalemate unfolded Sunday after Twitter accused The Babylon Bee of “hateful conduct” over a message about U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Rachel Levine, a biological male who identifies as female. “I just received this notice that we’ve been locked out of our Twitter account for ‘hateful conduct,’” Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon shared in an Instagram post. “We’re told our account will be restored in 12 hours, but the countdown won’t begin until we delete the tweet that violates the Twitter Rules.” The offending tweet — which has been liked more than 12,500 times — is an image of Levine and has text that reads, “The Babylon Bee’s Man of the Year Is Rachel Levine.” Despite Twitter’s rebuke, Dillon and his team have no plans of deleting or removing the post — even if that means permanently losing their Twitter account. “We’re not deleting anything. Truth is not hate speech,” Dillon wrote. “If the cost of telling the truth is the loss of our Twitter account, then so be it.” The Babylon Bee account has been limited and cannot tweet, retweet, follow, or like any other messages, according to the screenshots. The satirical tweet, based on a March 15 Babylon Bee article titled, “The Babylon Bee’s Man Of The Year Is Rachel Levine,” followed USA Today’s real-life decision to name Levine one of its “Women of the Year.”
According to Bay News 9, Pastor Shawn Thomas was a mentor, a leader and a friend. He had a natural calling to serve his community from a very young age. He was the senior pastor at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in St. Petersburg. Pinellas County Commissioner Rene Flowers said on Saturday, “He just got here and that was in November. Actually, when he was installed, so we’re talking literally just a few months.” Pastor Thomas was just getting settled in his new role at the church, the same one he attended as a young boy where members like Deborah Figgs-Sanders, watched him grow up. She said, “We knew then that Shawn was something special. We knew then that he had a message, that he was going to live this life where he took so many people and touched so many people.” Pastor Thomas took a friend for a fun trip on his boat at Lake Seminole on Friday, but a fun day took a frightening turn. Just after 2 p.m., Seminole Fire Rescue helped Thomas when his boat started filling up with water. They were able to safely get them out of the water and off the boat. Hours later, Thomas called a friend to help him go back to the lake and get the boat. While they were tying the boats together, Thomas’ boat capsized, and he fell into the water. Later that night, officials found his body. Commissioner Flowers said losing their church leader will be felt among several generations, especially the youngest. “I believe for him and the void that will be missing will be that void that connection between African American youth and the church because he allowed the word to tie together so that individuals can see how it fits into their life right now,” she said. Pastor Thomas’ legacy will be one that many will remember for years to come. Pinellas County deputies say Thomas was not wearing a life vest.
According to the Daily Mail, A series of wildfires ravaging Texas since late last week have destroyed 86 homes, with one of the blazes reducing nearly an entire town to ash. Four fires in Eastland County, about 120 miles west of Dallas, have burned 54,000 acres over the weekend and killed a sheriff’s deputy who was helping people evacuate. The wildfires, dubbed the Eastland Complex, began Thursday and were still raging Sunday at three of the four sites, officials said. A new wildfire in Eastland County was reported Sunday. It has burned around 250 acres and is 20% contained. The blazes have reduced 86 homes to rubble and ate up about 85% of Carbon, a small town with a population of 225, within three hours of igniting. The fires began Thursday and quickly grew by feasting on dry brush and spreading due to wind gusts up to 40 mph. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued a declaration disaster in 11 counties on Friday and ordered flags to be lowered to half staff in Eastland County in honor of Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Deputy Barbara Fenley, his office announced. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Fenley was going door to door on Thursday, getting residents to evacuate their homes and the last time she communicated she indicated she was going to check on an elderly person in Carbon, Texas. ‘With the extreme deteriorating conditions and low visibility from smoke, Sgt. Fenley ran off the roadway and was engulfed in the fire,’ the sheriff’s statement said. Residents of Carbon spent the weekend combing through the destruction and salvaging what they could.
According to the New York Post, A Bronx mother of two who days ago told relatives she was scared of her boyfriend was found dead in her apartment, police and family members said. Bjana James, 37, was found dead in her apartment in the Bronx’s Betances Houses on Friday, with her throat slashed, according to police sources, who said James’ death will likely be investigated as a homicide. There were no signs of forced entry or robbery, an NYPD spokesman said. Family members who gathered to light candles outside James’ apartment on Saturday said she had expressed concern to a family member earlier in the week that her boyfriend was acting unusual, and possibly going to hurt her. James stopped replying to texts on Wednesday night, the relatives said. “She basically was texting her [relative] the day it happened like, ‘I’m scared. He’s gonna kill me. I’m scared for my life. He is bugging out,’” a cousin, who gave her name as Shelly, told The Post. “He left the house. She wrote back… ‘He’s here, he’s back,’ and ever since she wrote that we didn’t hear from her again.” By Friday, worried family members decided to go to James’ apartment and check on her. “The brother went up there, turned her knob — it was opened and she was on the couch dead,” her cousin said. Shelly described James as “full of life” and a “party person” who got a kick out of her job at the Empire Casino in Yonkers. The victim was the oldest of eight children. She is survived by a 12-year-old son and eight-year-old daughter, who lived with their maternal grandmother at the time of her death.
According to the Daily Mail, Russian Wagner group mercenaries have travelled to Ukraine on a mission to assassinate Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelensky, intelligence reports claim. Intelligence authorities attached to the Ministry of Defence said Russian President Vladimir Putin ‘personally ordered another attack by one of his proxies’, referring to the Wagner group. ‘All previous attempts ended in the failure and elimination’ of Wagner mercenaries at the hands of Ukrainian forces, the report added. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and the presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak were listed as among the other alleged assassination targets. The Kremlin has long denied ties to the Wagner group, a 600-strong mercenary group deployed worldwide to carry out Moscow’s dirty work. Reports have long claimed the force is Putin’s personal assassination squad, but are far enough removed from the Kremlin to afford the Russian president plausible deniability. It is the latest in more than a dozen attempts by both the Wagner group and Chechen special forces to kill the Ukrainian president since Russian troops launched a savage invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
According to 11 Alive, The family says the trailblazer of The Anointed Pace Sisters, Lashun Pace has died. The gospel singer-songwriter was 60 years old. Pace was on dialysis for five years waiting for a kidney and died of organ failure Monday morning, her sister, Lydia Pace said. The Atlanta native was part of the renowned sibling gospel group The Anointed Pace Sisters. Born in Atlanta’s Poole Creek community, the Grammy-nominated group made up of nine sisters first shared their family melody in church and local talent shows before rising to gospel stardom. Known for her hit songs “I Know I’ve Been Changed” and “Act Like You Know,” Pace also carved out her own career and released solo albums. A snippet of LaShun’s 1996 hit ‘Act Like You Know’ recently became a TikTok trend, which Lydia said LaShun was so excited about, encouraging her to start working on another album. Pace was also known for her kind and supportive heart, becoming friends with a young, ambitious filmmaker Tyler Perry. The playwright at the time was working on a new production when Pace came on board. The two remained friends ever since, with Perry touring a play sharing a name to one of Pace’s works “I Know I’ve Been Changed.” Throughout their friendship, the producer even gifted Pace’s mother a home, granting her dying wish to become a homeowner. The matriarch of the Pace family, Bettie Ann Pace, died at 82 in 2020. Pace and her mother were close. Loved ones call LaShun the trailblazer of the family, moving them to love gospel and jazz music as well. She was the fifth oldest of all of her siblings. Her death is the third loss for the Atlanta family within two years. The oldest of the sisters, Duranice Pace, passed away last year. LaShun is survived by seven of the nine Pace sisters and an adult daughter.

In closing, remember, God loves you. He always has and He always will. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” If you don’t know Jesus as your Saviour, today is a good day to get to know Him. Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose from the dead for you. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart and He will. Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Thanks so much for listening and may God bless your day!
