WATCH: Medina Spirit Wins the 147th Kentucky Derby Against Longshot Odds, As Crowds Return

Medina Spirit won the Kentucky Derby on Saturday. The horse was ranked sixth among the racers, with odds of 12 to 1 before the upset victory. Medina Spirit took an early lead and fended off challengers throughout. Both its trainer and jockey, Bob Baffert and John Velasquez, won the race last year as well with a horse named Authentic. Baffert now holds seven Derby wins, the most of anyone in the sport, and Velasquez has taken the Derby four of the past 11 years.
