Fugitive MIT student wanted for the shooting death of newly engaged Yale graduate is arrested in Alabama by US Marshals after four-month international manhunt

Qinxuan Pan, 29 (left), was arrested on Friday in Montgomery, Alabama, by US Marshals’ Gulf Coast fugitive task force and local police on murder charges for the February 6 killing of Kevin Jiang (right). Pan, a computer science researcher at MIT, is suspected of shooting Jiang, a graduate student at Yale’s School of the Environment, on a New Haven, Connecticut, street just days after he had proposed to his girlfriend.
