WATCH: Actor-Comedian Eddie Murphy inducted into NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame

After 40 years of making movies, actor-comedian Eddie Murphy made it into the NAACP Image Awards Hall of Fame which highlights works by artists of color. “Thank you very much. I’m very moved,” Murphy said after being presented with the award by his longtime friend Arsenio Hall. The Hall of Fame induction is given to individuals viewed as pioneers in their respective fields whose influence shaped their professions for generations.

Other honors at the 2021 NAACP Image Awards went to LeBron James, DJ D-Nice, Stacey Abrams, Viola Davis, and the late Chadwick Boseman.
