No New You, No New Family, No New Church, No New Nation, No New Year, Part 8
1. Pastors and church ministers and some other of God’s people will continue to be exposed for their sins because they refuse to repent.
2. Things will continue to get worse because God’s people still refuse to repent of their sins.
3. Things are going to get worse unless the church humbles herself, prays, seeks God’s face, and turns from her wicked ways and all sin, including the sin and abaomination of homosexuality.
4. The American government will continue to be destroyed if the church does not convince the government to repent of sanctioning the sin of homosexuality and homosexual marriage.
2 Corinthians 5:17:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2 Chronicles 7:14:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

No New You, No New Family, No New Church, No New Nation, No New Year, Part 8
In our last message in this series we began looking at how your family needs to be made new so that you can have a new year. Your family can be made new by wives submitting to their husbands and husbands loving their wives. Here are the other ways in which your family can be made new.
Third, children obey your parents. Ephesians 6:1-3 says, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.” Thomas Constable said, “Children express their submission by obeying their parents. “In the Lord” modifies “obey,” not “parents.” Children should not obey their parents if their parents tell them to disobey the Lord. Their primary responsibility is to the Lord, as is also true of wives. Obedience is right in the sense that it is in harmony with God”s will for children. Children should obey their parents as long as they are children living under their parents’ authority. When a child becomes an adult, he or she no longer has to obey parents but should continue to honor them. Even though as Christians we are no longer under the Mosaic Law, Paul quoted the fifth commandment to stress the importance of children obeying their parents. He restated this command as part of the Law of Christ. Honoring is a larger concept than obeying. It involves a proper attitude as well as appropriate behavior.”
Fourth, parents, nurture and admonish your children. .Ephesians 6:4 says, “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” John R. Rice said, “The only answer to juvenile delinquency, the only answer to a generation which has grown up without faith in God, without self-control, without any stead-fastness of moral character, is to come back to the Bible and find God’s way of growing men and women with character. Prayerful, intelligent, Christian discipline in the home is abso-lutely essential to the growing of good men and women. Another plain command of the Scripture on this subject is given in Ephesians 6:4: “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and ad-monition of the Lord.” Fathers are to bring their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. For parents to chastise their children as necessary is explicitly commanded in the Word of God. Parents act for God in punishing sin, in rewarding righteousness, and in compelling the obedience of their children. Children ought to be won to Christ at an early age. But certainly the very backbone of child-rearing is discipline, being taught to obey, taught to do right, ruled lovingly in the ways of righteousness by father and mother. Fathers are to bring chil-dren up “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord,” as Ephesians 6:4 says. If they follow the Bible plan, the character of children will be so set for God and righteousness and morality and subjection to authority that when the children are grown, independent men and women, they will never leave the godly ways taught them by their parents. “

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.
First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”
Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 18:8: “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.
Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.
If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour!
