Welcome to The Prophet Daniel’s Report. This is report #699.
My name is Daniel Whyte III here to remind you that Jesus Christ is coming back soon and that you need to be prepared. This broadcast is not about predictions, nor is it about setting dates as some foolishly have done, however it is all about preparation.
First, today, let’s look at some Signs of His Coming in the news.
The disciples asked Jesus in Matthew 24:3, “What shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” Jesus Christ gave them (and us) clear signs that show us when we can begin to expect to see the Coming of the Lord and the end of the world. Looking at world events through the lens of the Word of God, let’s look at some headlines from today’s news that point to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, today, under the Sign category of PESTILENCES & FATAL EPIDEMIC DISEASES — According to a Johns Hopkins University tally, the global death toll attributed to the novel coronavirus hit 928,342 early Tuesday. In the seven months since the virus was first identified in Wuhan [WOO-HAHN], China, it has infected at least 29,275,604 people worldwide.
Second, today, under the Sign category of RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL — According to The Jerusalem Post, Bahrain agreed to establish formal relations with Israel in advance of Tuesday’s anticipated historic signing in Washington of an accord to normalize ties between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. It is likely that a second accord could be signed Tuesday between Israel and Bahrain. US President Donald Trump tweeted the news Friday after he spoke by phone to both Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. According to a Foreign Ministry official, Israel is now “working toward the opening of an Israeli embassy in Bahrain.” On Friday Netanyahu said that more agreements with Arab states would follow the Bahrain agreement, and the one arrived at with the UAE in August.
Third, today, under the Sign category of WARS & RUMOURS OF WARS — According to Voice of America News, The commander in charge of the U.S. military’s nuclear arsenal has warned that increasing China’s nuclear stockpile is ‘next’ on Beijing’s ‘to-do list.’ Speaking Monday to reporters at the Pentagon, U.S. Strategic Command chief Adm. Charles Richard said that while the United States has ‘no margin’ of error left to start recapitalizing its nuclear force, China has a proven record of steadily building its military. He cited the example of how Beijing has built more than 250 ships for the country’s newly established coast guard in just the past seven years. Richard said, ‘When China sets its mind to something, they are very impressive in their ability to go accomplish it. Their strategic forces are next on their to do list, right, and I’m trying to posture us for the threat that we’re going to face, not the one that we have today.’
Now, it’s time for Prophecy Bootcamp.
Prophecy Bootcamp is where we deal with the basics of prophecy, the Second Coming of Christ, and what will happen in the future according to the Bible. Our aim here is not to make predictions but to help you get prepared by understanding how things will unfold in the end times.
Our topic for today is titled “Two Phases of the Second Coming, Part 4” from Tim LaHaye and Ed Hindson’s book “The Essential Guide to Bible Prophecy.”
As we have seen, various views exist as to when the rapture will occur (before, during, or after the Tribulation), but surely there will be a rapture. The only real question is, when will it occur? Christ must return at some point to resurrect the dead in Christ and rapture the living believers in order to take us all to the Father’s house in heaven, as He promised in John 14:1-4. There are a number of reasons to believe the rapture will occur before the Tribulation begins.
The Lord Himself promised to deliver us. Revelation 3:10 says, “Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” The Greek word ek, which literally means “out of,” is translated in this passage as “from.” In other words, it is the Lord’s intention to keep the church out of the Tribulation. Therefore, the rapture must occur before the Tribulation begins.
The church is to be delivered from the wrath to come. The apostle Paul tells us in 1 Thessalonians 1:10 that we should “wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” The context of this particular passage is the rapture. The church must therefore be removed from the earth before the Tribulation begins in order to be delivered from the wrath to come.
Lord willing, we will continue looking at this topic in our next podcast.
In closing, let’s consider what God wants you and I to do in light of His Second Coming.
Jesus Christ said in Luke 19:13 to “Occupy till I come.” In light of that, we are continuing our journey through the book, “Coming Events and Present Duties,” by J.C. Ryle. It is a collection of what he called “prophetic tracts” that focus on the believer’s duty in light of the signs which point to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
This section is titled, “Idolatry to be Destroyed at Christ’s Coming” (Part 31). J.C. Ryle writes:
(3) Arm yourselves, last of all, and above all, with clear, sound views of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of the salvation that is in Him. He is the image of the invisible God,–the express image of His person,–and the true preservative against all idolatry, when truly known. Build yourselves deep down on the strong foundation of His finished work upon the cross. Settle it firmly in your mind, that Christ Jesus has done everything needful in order to present you without spot before the throne of God, and that simple, childlike faith on your part is the only thing required to give you an entire interest in the work of Christ. Settle it firmly in your mind, that having this faith, you are completely justified in the sight of God,–will never be more justified if you live to the age od Methuselah and do the works of the Apostle Paul,–and can add nothing to that complete justification by any acts, deeds, works, performances, fastings, prayers, almsdeeds, attendance on ordinances, or anything else of your own.
If the Lord tarries His Coming and we live, we will continue looking at this topic in our next broadcast/podcast.
Remember the words of the Lord in Matthew 24:42: “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
If you are not ready for the Return of Jesus Christ, may I encourage you to get ready today by receiving Him as your Savior. Here is how:
First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…” Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Now that is bad news, but here is the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.
Romans 10:9-13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Keep looking up for your redemption draweth nigh. Let us join in the prayer of John the Revelator — “Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” God bless you.
