How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #111 with Daniel Whyte III

Welcome to the How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #111. My name is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International.

2 Chronicles 6:37-39 says, “Yet if they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly; If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name:Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee.”

The Bible Knowledge Commentary says, “In a spirit of magnanimity, Solomon also entreated the Lord to hear the prayers of foreigners who might go to the temple to seek His face. Solomon prayed that in times of war the Lord would bless His people in battle . If, however, they sinned and were taken captive to a foreign land and there repented, Solomon prayed that they would be forgiven.”

Leonard Ravenhill said, “The Christless cults and deity-dishonoring mushroom religions of this midnight hour tempt the Lord God. Will no one sound the alarm?”

According to the Charlotte Observer, UNC-Chapel Hill moved all classes online after 130 more students were infected with coronavirus.

According to the AP, the US recorded 1,503 deaths yesterday.

According to People Magazine, A Georgia school district has announced that a third high school will be temporarily closed due to a coronavirus outbreak. The Cherokee County School District announced on Sunday that Creekview High School would close through the end of August after having reported 25 positive COVID-19 cases. Additionally, 500 of the 1,800 students who had opted for in-person learning were put under a “precautionary quarantine.”

According to the Washington Post, A teacher made a spreadsheet tracking coronavirus in schools. In 10 days, her spreadsheet has gone from 30 entries to more than 700, each representing a separate school that has been affected by coronavirus.

According to WSB-TV, A local private school in Buckhead, Georgia, confirmed that 18 class of 2020 graduates have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the Insider, One school district in Nebraska canceled classes this weekend after three staff members tested positive for the coronavirus. Another 24 are quarantining due to exposure.

According to WMC 5, Memphis’ Harding Academy has gone virtual and is suspending athletics after seeing 12 cases of coronavirus after its first week of the new school year.

According to the BBC, South Korea is dealing with its biggest jump in coronavirus cases in five months – with 279 cases reported on Sunday alone. At least 457 of the new cases have been linked to the Sarang Jeil Church.

According to Syracuse News, People attending services at four Syracuse, New York, area churches may have been exposed to the coronavirus by infected congregants, some of whom were not wearing face masks.

According to CTV News, Several coronavirus cases have been linked to the Bible Pentecostal Church in north Edmonton, Canada.

According to Parkersburg News and Sentinel, Five people at a church in Wood County, West Virginia, have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to Wyoming Today, 9 cases of coronavirus have been linked to Word of Faith Family Church in Lander, Wyoming.

According to the Washington Post, The U.S. coronavirus death toll is expected to pass 180,000 and could reach 200,000 by Sept. 5, according to modelers whose forecasts are shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention—a somber prediction as the country tries to battle the virus and revitalize the economy.

According to CNN, Health experts say children make up more than 7% of all coronavirus cases in the US — while comprising about 22% of the country’s population — and the number and rate of child cases have been “steadily increasing” from March to July. The data was posted alongside updated guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for pediatricians that also includes what is known about the virus in children. “Recent evidence suggests that children likely have the same or higher viral loads in their nasopharynx compared with adults and that children can spread the virus effectively in households and camp settings.”

According to the Washington Post, The number of Americans who say they can’t afford enough food for themselves or their children is growing, according to Census data, and it is likely to get larger now that some government benefits have expired. As of late last month, about 12.1% of adults lived in households that didn’t have enough to eat at some point in the previous week, up from 9.8% in early May. Almost 20% of Americans with kids at home couldn’t afford to give their children enough food, up from almost 17% in early June.

According to the AP, a data error on Iowa’s coronavirus website lowers the number of new confirmed cases and therefore downplays the severity of the current outbreak, just as schools are deciding whether to reopen. The glitch means the Iowa Department of Public Health has inadvertently been reporting fewer new infections and a smaller percentage of daily positive tests than is truly the case. Potentially thousands of coronavirus infections from recent weeks and months have instead been erroneously recorded as having happened in March, April, May and June.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Documents that could show how Georgia has managed key aspects of the coronavirus pandemic are being withheld from the public, in what open government advocates say are possible violations of public records laws.

According to Reuters, Spain recorded almost 3,000 new cases on Friday, about double the average in the first 12 days of August, bringing the cumulative total to 342,813 – the highest in Western Europe.

HomeLife Academy Review from

HomeLife Academy is a non-traditional K-12 private school and ministry that was founded to give homeschoolers and their parents educational access and support from anywhere in the world. They allow parents to teach what they want, on their own schedule and in a style appropriate for their child. Although they do not provide curriculum or teaching, they do provide assistance with planning and choosing curriculum, providing reference letters, and assistance with records and documentation.

What Is a Good Schedule for Homeschooling?, Part 8

The Extra-Curricular and Class-Driven Schedule
In a large or busy family, extra curricular activities, sports, volunteering, and classes in the community go on the weekly schedule first. For example, the local science museum may be offering an eight-week class in archaeology on Tuesdays, and all three kids go for piano lessons on Thursdays, followed by library story hour. Fridays may be the day that your family volunteers at the animal shelter or at the food pantry. Families who make liberal use of these kinds of resources work other academics around these outside activities. I have known many families who have found that their kids took off with Scouts and 4-H projects to the extent that they actually became a large part of their academic learning, so prioritizing them made sense. Just as a matter of practicality, outside activities aren’t going to bend to your personal schedule unless you are the organizer, so putting outside events on the calendar is just a reality, especially as children get older.

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.

First, please understand that you are a sinner and that you have broken God’s laws. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Please understand that because of your sins, you deserve punishment in hell. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death…” This is both physical death and spiritual death in hell.

But here is the good news. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The phrase “For God so loved the world” means that if you are in this world, God loves you no matter what you have done.

The next phrase, “that He gave His only begotten Son” refers to Jesus Christ. He is God’s son who suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins and for mine, and He was buried and rose again.

Our next phrase is “that whosoever believeth in Him”. The word “whosoever” means anybody at any time. The phrase “believeth in Him” means to trust in Him, to depend upon Him, to rely on Him, or to have faith in Him for your salvation.

Our next phrase, “should not perish”, refers to eternal punishment in a place called hell.

And, lastly, the phrase “but have everlasting life” means to live eternally in Heaven with God.

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Dear friend, if you are willing to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me this simple prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
