How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #59 with Daniel Whyte III

Welcome to the How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #59. My name is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International.

2 Samuel 24:21-25 says, “And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the Lord, that the plague may be stayed from the people. And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood. All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The Lord thy God accept thee. And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the Lord was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.”

David Guzik said, “David wanted to transform this place where chaff was separated from wheat into a place of sacrifice and worship. It would remain a place of sacrifice and worship because this land purchased by David became the site of Solomon’s temple. Araunah had a good, generous heart and wanted to give David anything he wanted. Had Araunah’s noble offer been accepted, it would have been Araunah’s sacrifice, not David’s; nor would it have answered the end of turning away the displeasure of the Most High. David knew that it would not be a gift nor a sacrifice unto the LORD if it did not cost him something. He didn’t look for the cheapest way possible to please God. David’s offering shows that David understood that the death of the 70,000 in Israel in the plague did not atone for his and Israel’s sin. Atonement could only be made through the blood of an approved substitute. Burnt offerings were to atone for sin; peace offerings were to enjoy fellowship with God. This shows us from the beginning to the end, David’s life was marked by fellowship with God. We finally see the man after God’s own heart turning the occasion of his sin and its punishment into an occasion of worship. ”

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Revelation 2:4-5 says, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Leonard Ravenhill said, “Do not we rest in our day too much on the arm of flesh? Cannot the same wonders be done now as of old? Do not the eyes of the Lord still run to and fro throughout the whole earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those who put their trust in Him? Oh, that God would give me more practical faith in Him! Where is now the Lord God of Elijah? He is waiting for Elijah to call on Him.”

Here are some tips for getting through the coronavirus:

Supporting your immune system with vitamins and minerals is a great way to protect yourself from catching colds, flu and the coronavirus. As we have seen in recent months, food and supply shortages can occur when the supply chain gets interrupted. If you have to live off your supplies, will you be getting all the necessary nutrients? As a form of insurance, it’s a good idea to include vitamins and vitamin boosters in your emergency food storage supplies.

Here are some benefits of living in an RV during the coronavirus:

With each new outbreak, there is a sense of panic. Whether Swine flu, SARS, or COVID-19, the world inevitably moves on. That’s not to say that tragically, people do not die, which is a primary reason to self-quarantine. But it is to say that you should plan on living and moving forward. Sometimes a little alone time and seclusion can put your life, and your belief system, in perspective. As outbreaks like coronavirus continue to unfold, traditional vacation options that often incorporate hundreds or even thousands of people together in one place will quickly lose favor. RVing promises to be the next best alternative. Most RVers are already familiar with the benefits of RVing. While for some it is a hobby, for others it is a lifestyle. No matter what your prevalence, the time to RV is now.

QUESTION: Joe in Pittsburgh works for a family business and has no ownership. What’s the best way to handle the interpersonal relationships between family members who come and go within the company?

We have to talk about it, and so my kids—even when they were 12 years old working the book table at a Live Event—were told they had to work twice as hard to be respected as a Ramsey because everyone thinks they’re going to be a screw-up. Everybody assumes your kid is a screw-up when they come to work for you because they couldn’t get a job anywhere else. So they’ve got to bring it. To get respected, they’ve got to bring it. That’s part of the hiring process of a family member, and if they don’t bring it, you’ve got to put on that president’s hat and fire your kid, but you’re not firing your kid. You’re firing an incompetent employee. Reprimanding them is the same way. Expecting their sales calls to be up is the same way. Expecting them to be on time with their shirt tail tucked in is the same way. All of that falls under the same heading.

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.

First, please understand that you are a sinner and that you have broken God’s laws. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Please understand that because of your sins, you deserve punishment in hell. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death…” This is both physical death and spiritual death in hell.

But here is the good news. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The phrase “For God so loved the world” means that if you are in this world, God loves you no matter what you have done.

The next phrase, “that He gave His only begotten Son” refers to Jesus Christ. He is God’s son who suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins and for mine, and He was buried and rose again.

Our next phrase is “that whosoever believeth in Him”. The word “whosoever” means anybody at anytime. The phrase “believeth in Him” means to trust in Him, to depend upon Him, to rely on Him, or to have faith in Him for your salvation.

Our next phrase, “should not perish”, refers to eternal punishment in a place called hell.

And, lastly, the phrase “but have everlasting life” means to live eternally in Heaven with God.

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Dear friend, if you are willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me this simple prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior today, please email me at [email protected] and let us know. There is some free material that we want to send you. If you have a prayer request, please e-mail that to us as well, and we will pray for you until you tell us to stop.

God loves you. We love you. And may God bless you.
