THERE IS MORE SAID IN THE PODCAST AUDIO THAN IN THE NOTES BELOW
Welcome to the How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #50. My name is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International.
Numbers 14:37 says, “Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.”
David Guzik said, “An immediate death sentence was pronounced upon the ten unfaithful spies. The men whom Moses sent to spy out the land died by the plague before the LORD: If the death of the unbelieving generation would take some 38 years (the number of years left to make a total time of the exodus forty years), the death of the ten unfaithful spies was be immediate. God has one prescription for the old man, and the flesh: to kill it. It can’t be reformed. We are not called to turn over a new leaf for God. The old man dies, and only then can the new man, patterned after Jesus Christ, inherit God’s land of rest and promise.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
Revelation 2:4-5 says, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”
Leonard Ravenhill said, “Christianity today is so subnormal that if any Christian began to act like a normal New Testament Christian, he would be considered abnormal.”
According to Johns Hopkins university, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in the US has reached 80,000.
According to CNN a forecast model warns that the US death toll could increase to 137,000 by August as social distancing measures are relaxed in majority of states – with California’s fatalities predicted to more than double to 6,000,
According to Yahoo News Peter Piot, director of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, A top scientist who fell ill with COVID-19 has said the world will never return to normal unless there is a coronavirus vaccine.
Here are 8 things preppers recommend to get you through the coronavirus crisis
3. Knife Sharpeners
4. Nitrile Gloves
5. Emergency Food
6. Duct Tape
7. A positive mental attitude
8. An at-home garden
Not everyone has the privilege of owning land, but even having a backyard can offer opportunities not available to apartment dwellers, like starting a garden or raising chickens. Many preppers even had remote “bug out” locations in rural areas perfect for social isolation.
If you had a time machine, you might want to go back in time and buy 50 acres, but your best bet now is to use what you have. Our supply chain is being stressed to its limits, and even if barren shelves are more a symptom of panic buying than an actual shortage, anything we can do to relieve stress on the supply chain will help. Spring is almost here, so now is the perfect time. You might need less space than you think: Steven Cornett in San Diego started his own commercial farm on a mere quarter of an acre.
Here are some resources to get gardening fast:
Steve Solomon’s Gardening When It Counts, which is just what it sounds like.
Mel Bartholomew’s All New Square Foot Gardening. The late Mel Bartholomew wasn’t what you’d call a survivalist, but his intensive, low-labor method is as close as you can get in terms of a “gardening quick fix,” especially if you have easy access to water.
David the Good’s “Grow or Die: The Good Guide to Survival Gardening,” which again, is just what it sounds like. David outlines the best crops to plant for survival, how to fertilize with your own urine, and even how to grow your own tobacco. His YouTube channel is a wealth of information.
You can buy off-grid housing from Country Homes of America. Lands of America is the largest rural listing service in the Nation. The Network specializes in land for Sale which includes farms, ranches, mountain property, lake houses, river homes, and residential homes in smaller towns across the country..
You can buy a mini house from Tiny House Listings.com. Tiny House Listings focuses on exploring and sharing the benefits of living in a smaller, less-expensive, more humble home that frees up time and cash.
Ephesians 6:2 says, “Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;”
Thomas Constable said, “Even though as Christians we are no longer under the Mosaic Law, Paul quoted the fifth commandment to stress the importance of children obeying their parents. He restated this command as part of the Law of Christ. Honoring is a larger concept than obeying. It involves a proper attitude as well as appropriate behavior. The first commandment in the Decalogue with a promise was really the second commandment. Evidently Paul meant that for children the fifth was the primary commandment, and it contained a promise.”
Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.
First, please understand that you are a sinner and that you have broken God’s laws. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Please understand that because of your sins, you deserve punishment in hell. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death…” This is both physical death and spiritual death in hell.
But here is the good news. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The phrase “For God so loved the world” means that if you are in this world, God loves you no matter what you have done.
The next phrase, “that He gave His only begotten Son” refers to Jesus Christ. He is God’s son who suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins and for mine, and He was buried and rose again.
Our next phrase is “that whosoever believeth in Him”. The word “whosoever” means anybody at anytime. The phrase “believeth in Him” means to trust in Him, to depend upon Him, to rely on Him, or to have faith in Him for your salvation.
Our next phrase, “should not perish”, refers to eternal punishment in a place called hell.
And, lastly, the phrase “but have everlasting life” means to live eternally in Heaven with God.
The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Dear friend, if you are willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me this simple prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.
If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light Society.com and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior today, please email me at [email protected] and let us know. There is some free material that we want to send you. If you have a prayer request, please e-mail that to us as well, and we will pray for you until you tell us to stop.
God loves you. We love you. And may God bless you.
