PODCAST: How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #49 with Daniel Whyte III

Welcome to the How to Stay and Survive the Coronavirus Plague Briefing Podcast #48. My name is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International.

Numbers 11:33 says, “And while the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the wrath of the LORD was kindled against the people, and the LORD smote the people with a very great plague.””

David Guzik said, “The people, with great effort and excitement, gathered the quail and prepared it for eating. But when they ate – while the meat was still between their teeth, the LORD sent a plague among them and many died.He also rained meat on them like the dust, feathered fowl like the sand of the seas; and He let them fall in the midst of their camp, all around their dwellings. So they ate and were well filled, for He gave them their own desire. They were not deprived of their craving; but while their food was still in their mouths, the wrath of God came against them, and slew the stoutest of them, and struck down the choice men of Israel. They soon forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, but lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tested God in the desert. And He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul. When we allow ungodly cravings to rule our lives, God may send what we crave – and leanness into our soul as well. Better to have a “fat” soul and be deprived those cravings! This was a strict judgment, but it was a help to Israel because it taught them to not be ruled by their craving, then it was a huge help to the nation. Promised land people must be ruled by more than their physical or emotional appetites.”

2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Revelation 2:4-5 says, “Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.”

Leonard Ravenhill said, “Prayer does not condition God; prayer conditions us. Prayer does not win God to our view; it reveals God’s view to us.”

According to the AP Three members of the White House coronavirus task force, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, Stephen Hahn placed themselves in quarantine after contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the Independent an adviser to the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) has warned that the true number of people who have died during the coronavirus pandemic in America could be double the official figure,

According to Reuters New coronavirus infections are accelerating again in Germany just days after its leaders loosened social restrictions, raising concerns that the pandemic could once again slip out of control.

Here are 8 things preppers recommend to get you through the coronavirus crisis

1. Batteries
2. Multitools
3. Knife Sharpeners
4. Nitrile Gloves
5. Emergency Food
6. Duct Tape
7. A positive mental attitude
8. An at-home garden

The best thing you can own during this time is something you can’t buy: a positive mental attitude. It’s been extensively documented that the best chance of surviving a bad situation is a positive mental attitude. We all have our moments of weakness, but a negative outlook defeats you before you even start. Survival instructor Cody Lundin in his book, 98.6 Degrees: The Art of Keeping Your Ass Alive describes this as a “party-on” attitude. Out of batteries? Party on. Can’t buy bread? Let’s eat something else, party on. John A. Call wrote in Psychology Today: “Learn to take challenges as they come, and think positively about the outcome of the situation. You will be able to overcome obstacles more easily with a more positive attitude.”

We live in scary times, but your best bet is to stay optimistic, accentuate the positive, and count your blessings.

QUESTION: Dennis on Twitter asks Dave if he has any advice for taking over a 30-year-old company that belongs to their dad. Dave does indeed.

ANSWER: I have a lot of advice—a lot more than I have time to give you in one radio answer.

The first thing is I want everyone to establish whose role is what, and you separate the ownership role from your operational roles. So if you and your brothers are the owners of the company when you “take it over” but your brother Bob is going to be the CEO, then he’s in freaking charge.

The owners as a group give the CEO direction, but they don’t own every little thing during the day. They give them direction quarterly or annually or whatever. But you don’t play your stockholder card in every argument in the business. Someone needs to run the business. Someone needs to be in charge of the finances. Someone needs to be in charge of sales. Someone needs to be in charge of production. Someone needs to be the CEO. And you guys need to decide that out ahead of time. Then you need to determine as owning the thing together if one of you wants out, how do you get out? If one of you misbehaves or goes through a divorce or dies or has a disability, how is that treated? So you need good partnership documents, and a good attorney can help you put those together.

Now, if you are with us today and you do not know Jesus Christ as your Savior, allow me to show you how you can place your faith and trust in Him for Salvation from sin and Hell.

First, please understand that you are a sinner and that you have broken God’s laws. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Please understand that because of your sins, you deserve punishment in hell. Romans 6:23 says “the wages of sin is death…” This is both physical death and spiritual death in hell.

But here is the good news. John 3:16 reads, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The phrase “For God so loved the world” means that if you are in this world, God loves you no matter what you have done.

The next phrase, “that He gave His only begotten Son” refers to Jesus Christ. He is God’s son who suffered, bled, and died on the cross for your sins and for mine, and He was buried and rose again.

Our next phrase is “that whosoever believeth in Him”. The word “whosoever” means anybody at anytime. The phrase “believeth in Him” means to trust in Him, to depend upon Him, to rely on Him, or to have faith in Him for your salvation.

Our next phrase, “should not perish”, refers to eternal punishment in a place called hell.

And, lastly, the phrase “but have everlasting life” means to live eternally in Heaven with God.

The Bible also says in Romans 10:9 and 13: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved…. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Dear friend, if you are willing to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, please pray with me this simple prayer: Heavenly Father, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I now believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light Society.com and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
