Facebook has temporarily shuttered its Seattle office after a contractor tested positive for coronavirus, the company confirmed in a statement.

“A contractor based in our Stadium East office has been diagnosed with the COVID-19,” a spokeswoman said in the emailed statement late Wednesday.

“We’ve notified our employees and are following the advice of public health officials to prioritize everyone’s health and safety,” the statement insisted, according to Bloomberg, which first reported the case.

The unidentified employee was last in the office on Feb. 21 and the office will be closed until Monday, according to Bloomberg.
