One of Granbury’s biggest tourist-drawing events of the year has been canceled. The 42nd Annual General Granbury’s Birthday Celebration & Parade planned for Saturday and Sunday has been called off by the board of directors of the Historic Granbury Merchants Association due to coronavirus concerns. A statement released by HGMA said that the decision was made due to directives issued by the Centers for Disease Control, proclamations by President Donald Trump and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and in coordination with the city of Granbury.
