Saints Reserve Press Box Seat in Honor of Late Sports Broadcaster Carley McCord

The Saints have reserved a press box seat for late sports broadcaster Carley McCord for the playoffs match against the Minnesota Vikings.

McCord, a freelance broadcaster who served various television networks, including Cox Sports Television, ESPN3 and WDSU in New Orleans, died in a plane crash in Lafayette Dec. 28. She was en route to Atlanta to cover LSU’s Peach Bowl clash with Oklahoma. Four others were killed in the crash.

McCord was the daughter-in-law of LSU offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger.

WDSU sports anchor and reporter Fletcher Mackel wrote that it was “another amazing gesture honoring Carley McCord” in a tweet Sunday.
