The family of Juice Wrld have spoken out about the rapper’s recent death, saying they hope his legacy will help others battling addiction. The 21-year-old, whose real name was Jarad Higgins, died after suffering a seizure while Homeland Security agents working as part of an FBI task force confiscated a mountain of drugs (inset) and weapons in a separate raid on his plane on Sunday. Carmela Wallace (left with Juice Wrld), the rapper’s mother, said in a statement: ‘We loved Jarad with all of our hearts and cannot believe our time with him has been cut short. As he often addressed in his music and to his fans, Jarad battled with prescription drug dependency.’ His mother also voiced the family’s belief that the rapper’s story can help others who are also battling addiction. ‘We hope the conversations he started in his music and his legacy will help others win their battles as that is what he wanted more than anything,’ Wallace said in the statement.
