Nike has released a new ‘True to 7’ shoe with former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick – and it’s already sold out. According to Nike’s website, the shoes sold out in all kids and adult sizes. Kaerpernick has remained a controversial figure since taking a knee during the national anthem in 2016 to protest racial inequality in the U.S. On Monday, he tweeted ahead of the release of the new Colin Kaepernick x Nike Air Force 1.

In July, Nike previously pulled a pair of Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July sneakers from the market after controversy over the flag that was displayed on them. Kaepernick had then asked Nike to halt production of those sneakers.
