An adorable video of a Texas toddler waiting for her older sister to come home from school has warmed the hearts of more than three million people.
Jennifer Borget, the mother of 15-month-old Aliyah and nine-year-old Jayda, captured the sweet moment in Austin on Thursday.
According to Romper, little Aliyah has taken to excitedly waiting outside for her older siblings to come home on the yellow school bus each day.
In the video titled, ‘the best part of my day,’ Aliyah stands barefoot on the family’s driveway as she watches the school bus round into the neighborhood.
At the sight of Jayda, Aliyah throws her hands up and quickly toddles to the edge of the grass to meet her sister.
On her part, Jayda sprints across her neighbor’s yard clutching her backpack in one hand and reaching for Aliyah with the other.
Aliyah bounces and screams with joy.
When they finally meet at the driveway, Jayda throws her bag down and swiftly picks up a very happy Aliyah.
Jennifer says all her children, including her six-year-old son Tyree, have a close bond but Jayda especially adores Aliyah.
‘She was ecstatic when she found out she was having a sister and she just loves to get home and play with her,’ Jennifer told Romper.
‘Sometimes she likes to change her outfit like she’s her own little doll.’
The mother-of-three said she originally took the video as a ‘personal, family home video that I figured no one would watch.’
Mothers and fathers have shared stories of their kids doing similar things in the video’s comment section.
One woman said: ‘It brought a tear to my eye remembering how the girls would wait by the big window in our living room at our first house for each other’s arrival.’
Another woman said: ‘That’s what love does.’
After Jennifer posted the video on her Facebook, more than 3 million people have watched the cute moment.
