Mark Belenchia who speaks out for those abused by friars they should have been able to trust started the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests.

Joshua, La Jarvis, and Raphael Love say they were repeatedly abused by Brother Paul West when they were elementary school students at St. Francis of Assisi School in Greenwood, Mississippi.
Stephen J. Carmody, an attorney who represents the diocese, told Associated Press that the diocese took all the proper steps in the case, including making reports to police and social services officials when it first learned in 1998 of abuse allegations against a friar.
It was found out later by Belenchia that the diocese tried to pay off all three men to keep quiet.
If we cannot trust those in the church, then who can we trust?
