A 16-month-old girl died after being left in a car in Iowa as the heat index soared to 107 degrees, according to reports.
The unidentified toddler was found in a car in Sioux City at 4 p.m. Sunday, when the temperature was 98 degrees with the higher heat index, according to ABC News.
The unresponsive tot was taken to Unity Point St. Luke’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
