NFL star Jarvis Landry’s two-year-old daughter Joy is seen befriending a fawn in an adorable video shared online on Monday.
At the beginning of the clip, the little girl calls for the baby deer to ‘come here’ and it strolls onto the driveway.
They play a cute game of peekaboo around a big blue trash can before the deer comes straight up to Joy and lets her stroke and pet it.
‘It’s soft,’ she says and asks her famous dad if she can bring her new four-legged friend into the house.
Landry tells her she can’t, but says they can try to find some food for the animal.
The deer then follows the toddler to the porch, clearly not wanting the playdate to end.
‘You got a new friend?’ Landry can be heard asking his daughter, before exclaiming ‘awwww’.
‘I went to the garage and when I came out of the garage they were already best friends,’ Landry said on Tuesday after the heartwarming video went viral on social media.
Landry, a Cleveland Browns wide receiver, is used to being the star of the family, but his daughter stole the limelight with her cute new pal.
‘She wasn’t (afraid),’ Landry said. ‘I was more afraid than she was.’
He said if the fawn ‘comes back we’ll definitely give him a name for sure’.
Landry, a 26-year-old American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, also has a baby son.
