The Southern Baptist Foundation has named Christy Gold as its new treasurer, Warren Peek, the foundation’s president, has announced.
She succeeds Judy Garner, who retired April 30 after 27 years with the foundation.
Gold, a CPA who joined the staff in 2015, will supervise all funds and securities of the foundation, prepare all financial reports for the board of directors and present the reports to the board.
After earning an accounting degree from Murray State University in Kentucky and her CPA, Gold gained 20 years of experience with Frasier, Dean & Howard, CPAs and Deloitte and Touche, LLP.
She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Tennessee Society of CPAs.
A native of Erin, Tenn., Gold and her husband Doug have two children and reside in Hendersonville, Tenn.
