Peace, especially inner peace, is perhaps the most-longed for condition people wish to add to their lives. Inner tranquility has been shown to be a key element for good health, beneficial relationships, everyday happiness, and success in life. However, peace seems to be difficult to obtain.
In his book, Breaking the Barriers: 31 Keys to Experience Inner Peace, Rev. John Clark Mayden, Jr. aims to help readers uncover and overcome the things that are keeping them back from full-fledged peace. The topical devotional resource aims to provide the reader with spiritual keys to help them overcome common barriers that prevent them from experiencing inner peace. These keys are intended to help the reader unlock the door of inner peace and move forward in life and get unstuck from the ruts of sadness, frustration, and inner turmoil. As a result of experiencing inner peace, the reader is released to become the person that God wants them to be and achieve the purpose that God has for their life.
Delores W., a reader who gave the book 5 stars on Amazon, wrote, “[This is] a refreshing format and style for a book of meditation. The author draws on personal experiences and writes in a conversational style to help bring the messages alive. I started my ‘read’ on January 1 and I am eager to be able to review my growth after 31 days. The application at the end of each message adds a new dimension. Overall, l love this book!”
