Black Church in Macon, Georgia, Celebrates 114th Anniversary by Hosting Black History Event

Trinity CME church celebrated their 114th anniversary by hosting their first annual celebration of black history.

People of all ages gathered for a night of song and fellowship. The organization chose 12 leaders in the Macon community to honor them for their help in making the mid state a better place.

Among the twelve people recognized Dr. Curtis Jones was honored for his service in the community and more specifically for his recent award as National Superintendent of the year.

Another community leaders name you might recognize– Commissioner Elaine Lucas was also presented with an award for her efforts.
