The man accused of killing four people and injuring a fifth in Polk County was arrested Sunday in Indiana, the GBI said.

Daylon Delon Gamble, 27, had been on the run since the Thursday night shootings, according to police. The U.S. Marshals Service and the Indianapolis police department arrested Gamble in Indianapolis without incident, the GBI said.

Gamble is accused in two separate double homicides at homes in Rockmart, according to police. He has been charged with four counts of murder.

Though details on Gamble’s relationship to the victims have not been released, investigators have said the shootings were not random.

The bodies of Helen Rose Mitchell, 48, and Jaequnn Davis, 19, were found at a home in the 300 block of Williamson Street, the GBI said. About 300 yards away, the bodies of Arkeyla Perry, 24, and Dadrian Cummings, 26, were found at a house in the 500 block of Rome Street.

A fifth person, 24-year-old Peerless Brown, was shot in the face at the Williamson Street house and was flown to Atlanta Medical Center. The GBI said Friday he was being treated for his injuries.

Gamble is currently on parole after being released from state prison in June 2016, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. He was convicted of attempted armed robbery and burglary in 2011, records showed.

Gamble was being held late Sunday in Indianapolis.

The shootings happened at two scenes, at house and an apartment, just yards away from each other in the town of Rockmart.
