Cardi B Is Fighting Another Conservative Commentator on Twitter: This Time, She Slams Daily Caller Columnist Stephanie Hamill for Saying Her Racy ‘Twerk’ Video Isn’t Empowering for Women

Cardi B continues to spar with conservative commentators on Twitter over the border wall, the government shutdown, and now, the #MeToo movement and her new music video “Twerk.”

“Twerk,” Cardi’s new collaboration with the rap duo City Girls, features her and City Girls’ Yung Miami in head-to-toe body paint, twerking while flanked by a team of dancers.

Cardi didn’t take kindly to a comment from Daily Caller columnist Stephanie Hamill, who tweeted a clip from the “Twerk” video, writing, “In the Era of #meToo how exactly does this empower women? Leftists, @iamcardib, feel free to chime in. THX ..”

“It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever (sic) I want. do (whatever) I want and that NO still means NO,” Cardi replied. “So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks.”

Cardi’s tweet inspired a wave of support among famous fans on Twitter, with rapper Wale tweeting at Hamill, “This makes no sense. Just say you jealous that u uncapable (sic) of such coordination and rhythm and kindly let leave the podium. Thx.”

“Yeah! How exactly does showing a group of care free / wealthy women enjoying themselves and feeling safe enough to express themselves sexually without a single man in the video empower women?! Explain it to me @iamcardib,” comedian Ronald Funches tweeted back at Cardi in support.

Hamill defended her viewpoint in another tweet, writing to Cardi that “this video, & others like this sexually objectify women, I think this hurts all women & the cause,” before claiming that “maybe I’m just a hater bc I can’t Twerk.”

Cardi previously shut down Fox Nation contributor Tomi Lahren, who mocked Cardi as “the latest genius political mind to endorse the Democrats” after Cardi denounced Trump on Instagram for ordering federal government employees back to work without pay.

“Leave me alone I will dog walk you,” the singer shot back at Lahren on Sunday.
