Seahawks DE Michael Bennett Confirms he Has Been Traded to Eagles Team

Michael BennettΒ only needed a hour to confirm he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles, announcing himself as the newest member of the Super Bowl champions with a message on social media.

Bennett also posted a picture of himself in midnight green, ready to begin the next chapter of his football career.

Bennett will fit right in with this Eagles team with that statement. Reminder, the Eagles have been advocates for having Meek Mill released from jail, coming out to “Dreams and Nightmares” for Super Bowl introductions and attending rallies asking for his release.

Bennett hasΒ 118 quarterback hits since the start of the 2013 season, the second-most for a defensive end and fourth most in the NFL over the past five seasons. OnlyΒ J.J. WattΒ (157) and Carlos Dunlap (135) have more over that span.

Leave it to Bennett to have a dominant 2017 in his final year with the Seattle Seahawks. Bennett finished with 8.5 sacks, 44 hurries, and 16 QB hits…a total of 68 pressures. To compare, Brandon Graham (also a Pro Bowler) had 60 pressures in 2017 (9.5 sacks, 45 hurries).

Bennett also has 3.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in 10 playoff games, finishing with six QB hits and 31 hurries.

Looks like Bennett and this Eagles team will be a good fit.
