WATCH: Pastor Wellington Boone Discusses his New Book, “Black Self-Genocide: What Black Lives Matter Won’t Say” on ‘Fox & Friends’

Speaking to Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, best-selling author and Christian pastor Bishop Wellington Boone directly challenged the Black Lives Matter movement, saying African Americans, rather than police officers, are to blame for violence in their communities.

In the below excerpt from his new book, “Black Self-Genocide: What Black Lives Matter Won’t Say,” Boone says that the gangs of the inner cities should be feared more than white police officers.

“I am a Black American man. If I walk down the streets of any inner-city in America, I am in far more danger from people of my own race than from any White police. This is not a new phenomenon.”

Boone said instilling a sense of faith and family within black communities would help alleviate the violence. He said he would like to rally fellow black pastors together to help spread the message.

“Almighty God has ordained that this group of people would be a servant people who would know how to call out the will of God to a nation that really needs God right now,” he said. “Here we are running to the government when we should be running to God.”
