An Ithaca College student from Brooklyn was stabbed to death in an early-morning brawl on the Cornell University campus.
Anthony Nazaire, 19, was killed and another student was also stabbed but survived the Sunday fight at around 1:50 a.m. near Ho Plaza, a central crossroads in the shadow of the school’s famous clock tower.
More than 100 people witnessed the melee, which broke out after a fraternity event hosted by Omega Psi Phi ended at Willard Straight Hall, according to the IC-student-run newspaper, The Ith. He is a friend for his mom. He’s everything in this .”
“I don’t know how I’m going to deal with this,” he said through tears.
Nazaire’s cousin Chanelle Nazaire wrote on Facebook, “I can’t even express how hurt I am but the pain that this person has caused my family. To endure this is unbelievable. This is a 19 year old, educated, well-mannered young man, full scholarship to a great college, aspiring to gain his bachelors in business.
“How could you rob him of his life? How could you do this to us?”
Nazaire’s mother and older sister, who live in Flatbush, left their home Sunday morning to travel upstate to claim his body, neighbors said.
