First Lady Michelle Obama is big on a lot of things: being a mother to Sasha and Malia, healthy eating and hugs, and so she gave out plenty of big hugs to local elementary school student when she visited several schools in Washington with their own garden.
Dressed in a black-and-gray T-shirt and jeans, the First Lady spoke with several fifth-graders at Watkins Elementary School as they began cooking with their own vegetables. Excited and shocked the First Lady was in their classroom, one student simply couldn’t help himself.
“I’ve never made tortillas like this before,” Obama said as she cooked alongside the student.
“I’ve never seen you before,” one student responded.
Mrs. Obama then surprised a class at John Burroughs Elementary School, and before she even walked in the room, one student leaped from his chair to run and give her a hug. Watch the video below.
