Ted Cruz’s campaign admitted to using a doctored image online that shows Marco Rubio shaking hands with Barack Obama, calling it an illustration.

On Thursday, the Rubio campaign pointed reporters toward a Cruz-funded website that shows an image of a smiling Rubio gleefully shaking left hands with Barack Obama.

“This person, we don’t know who that is, but they Photoshopped Marco’s face onto somebody else,” said Rubio adviser Todd Harris, according to Time. “This is how phony and how deceitful the Cruz campaign has become.”

Rubio’s right-handed, and Obama shakes with his right, too. And Twitter users later found the original image the campaign had apparently edited.
