
How do you know a prophecy is real? If it comes true. One of the world’s most influential women had her success foretold by a preacher.
Before coining the phrase “Aha moment,” shouting to ecstatic audience members, “You get a car!” or giving away millions through her Angel network, Oprah Winfrey was a local reporter.
But a pastor, who, at the time told the future mogul God had a much bigger destiny in mind for her, turned out to be right.
Wintley Phipps, a renowned gospel singer and pastor, and now a good friend of The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) CEO, shared the prophetic moment during a recent “SuperSoul Sunday” interview.
One day, after Phipps completed a gospel performance at the Baltimore Civic Center with Winfrey in attendance, the curious journalist approached him.
“I remember coming down off the platform, and there was a tap on my shoulder,” Phipps recalled. “And you were there. You said, ‘Excuse me, sir. I just heard you sing and I feel like I can talk to you. Do you have time to talk to me?'”
