Bear Grylls has shared the moving moment he stopped and prayed with President Obama in front of cameras on their Alaskan adventure.

The star teamed up with the President of the United States for a special addition of his show, Running Wild with Bear Grylls, and the first pictures of their time together reveal the poignant moment they prayed together.

Sharing the snap on Twitter, Bear wrote: “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”

The adventurer has opened up about how Christianity has helped his family, after attending an Alpha Course.

“Shara and I did it together,” he said previously. “It helped us in a very low-key, unpressured way to explore some big questions. As a family it has given us a really lovely quiet faith that has been a powerful thing in our lives.”

Obama posted a series of pictures on the White House Instagram account previously of his time in the US state, including a selfie with Bear – and he even cracked a joke about his time with the adventurer.

He wrote: “Glad this was the only Bear I met in the park.”

Bear reposted the image on his own Instagram account and added the caption: “Was such a privilege to adventure with you!”

He also posted his own similar selfie and admitted the pair had some “special moments” together.

He tweeted: “@POTUS such special moments all through this journey. & what you are doing to help protect our planet in inspiring.”
