Agents narrowly prevented a woman from eating cocaine when they attempted to arrest her on unrelated charges, Friday.
Douglas-Coffee Drug Unit (DCDU) detectives initially came into contact with Linda Blank, 48 in Douglas, Ga.
During a brief investigation, detectives discovered Blank was wanted on a probation violation warrant and a bench warrant for theft by shoplifting.
But upon Blank’s arrest, detectives and DCDU detectives noticed something unusual. She was attempting to chew up and swallow a small quantity of crack cocaine.
Officers were able to recover the drugs before she was able to successfully swallow them. Now she also faces a charge of possession of cocaine.
