Two Shot Outside Pamela Geller’s Muhammad Art Exhibit In Garland, TX

Police said gunfire broke out at an anti-Islam event at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas, on Sunday. Local media reported that two people were shot outside the facility. It is not yet known who the people are, who shot them, or their conditions. The event was the American Freedom Defense Initiative’s Muhammad Art Exhibit and Contest focusing on caricatures of Muhammad. An officer reportedly was involved in the shooting and a SWAT team has arrived on the scene, according to WFAA-TV. Garland police were still working to secure the area. The contest, which offered a prize of $10,000, received around 350 entries depicting Muhammad.
