Suspected vandals spray-painted the word “infidels” and selections from the Quran onto three churches in Columbus this weekend, police said.
Church employees discovered the graffiti Sunday morning when they went to open their buildings for services, according to Columbus Police spokesman Sgt. Matt Harris.
Once there, employees found the word “infidels” and verses from the Quran, the Muslim holy book, scrawled on the outside walls.
Police are treating the incident as a suspected vandalism.
