Quick…what’s the fastest mode of transportation for a speedy getaway after stealing a television?

Most robbery suspects may opt for a car. Maybe a bicycle, or even just running away.

But according to the Clearwater Police Department, a suspect made unique use of a skateboard Wednesday, tearing off from the Gulf-to-Bay Blvd Super Target on his board while carrying a 32-inch TV.

Clearwater Police detectives are releasing video surveillance images of the suspect’s unusual heist in the hope of getting clues from the public.

Officials said the brazen thief made his way in, and quickly out, of the store just before closing at 11 p.m.

Detectives said the man is seen in surveillance video first looking at cell phone cases. Then he made his way to the televisions. When he found one he liked – a 32-inch Element LCD – he grabbed it and made his way to the exit.
